I bought that JPN version to have full cart of BOTW.

Looks like time for Amazon Japan for full cart BOTW+ Switch 2 editions....or EU Amazon. Looks like NA gets the shaft...again.

@Jester676 Another likely scenario is Japan-only although it is region free. I’m not really sure if all regions (including North America) will actually get it.

Anyways, the Switch 2 animation uses the Switch’s snap sound instead of the clap sound from the reveal trailer (which fits better with the magnetic Joy-Cons).

Did Nintendo just choose to ditch the clap behind and keep the snap or what happened?

Now that I have the money for the Switch 2, I am trying to find it online but Walmart, Target, Best Buy and GameStop all have it out of stock. When is the next restock on them expected?

I recently did register for it on the My Nintendo Store, but not sure when I’ll even get my invitation to get it from there or when ordering will finally be available for everyone.

@MrCarlos46 Some of the US stores seem to be getting a trickle of stock multiple times a week which sells out quickly. When I got mine a few days after release I stalked the websites of the 4 stores you mentioned and also used the inStock app which tracks Switch 2 sightings. I eventually got mine from Walmart but only by spamming my cart whenever a normal-price online one appeared. I have no idea when they will become 'easy' to find, but good luck! I hope you snag one soon.

@FishyS Since I did register interest for it yesterday on the My Nintendo Store, I actually wonder when they will send out the next invites for people to get straight from the MNS

@MrCarlos46 I know of at least 1 person who got an invite last week so Nintendo is sending out a few...not sure how many though.

@FishyS Hoping to get mine this week, although it seems like invites will be rolled out slowly for the next few months if they’re still doing the invite system before opening orders to everyone near the end of the year.

If you are in the UK i've just seen the Mario bundle Switch 2 on Amazon. With prime 1 day delivery.

And now the console only bundle has appeared.

I am actually surprised the Switch 2 isn’t on Amazon in the US yet, not sure if they will sell it there anytime soon…

@FishyS I actually downloaded the inStock app and a few hours ago from the time I posted this it alerted me about the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle on Target which made me think it was restocked but then when I checked it said it was still out of stock. The notification and sound got me so excited when I saw it just to find out it was false 😭😭😭

It probably was correct, but it may have only been a few units and sold out immediately.

Any news about the compatibility list of switch 1 games being compatible for Switch 2? I hope they fix Nier Automata asap

With all the HDR TV settings stuff going around I went into my settings and fiddled with it but my basic samsung QLED just has a "game mode" and not much else in terms of advanced settings. I remember being confused by the two suns when originally setting up the Switch 2 so I think I fixed it and it probably looks better, but I really don't have an eye for what it's supposed to look like. It looks good I dunno.

Ok so another dumb observation that I’m sure I’m late to the party about: the joycon seem to charge themselves when I attach them for handheld mode after I’ve been using them in the grip or something for a bit. I would imagine that contributes to faster battery drain for the system!

Did the Switch 1 always do this and I just never noticed? I thought the joycon only charged when they were attached and docked with the console.
