@MrCarlos46 im still amazed that a GTAV port was never on the cards for Switch1… a port or stripped down version in terms of an older release build? Switch sales might have helped it overtake Minecraft as highest selling game of all time! (Currently GTAV is #2 I believe)
@CJD87 You think Switch 2 cartridges will have more storage this time around? 100 GB should be enough, especially for some of the bigger third party games they end up getting.
@CJD87 I’d imagine 512 GB and 1 TB Switch 2 models also available at launch, but they’d be more expensive tho. Imma guess it’s gonna be the 512 GB model at $449 and the 1 TB model at $499.
Another alternate but unlikely scenario would be where the base 256 GB model is $299, the 512 GB model is $349, and the 1 TB model is $399.
@MrCarlos46 I have a feeling they'll go 256 and 512 - which I think is fine. They'll be conscious of price points right? So probably exclude 1TB... at least for time being. 256GB and a large SD card works solid enough anyway I think (I have steamdeck 256GB with a 512 GB SD card, usually plenty of space for me)
@CJD87 Yeah, at most we’ll see a 512 GB model alongside the base model. Doing 1 TB means it’d have to cost even more and Nintendo doesn’t wanna increase the price a whole lot.
Looks like the "SanDisk 256GB microSD Express" on Amazon gone now...and I was thinking of getting a second one if I can afford a 2nd Switch 2. I hope they allow 256 and upgrade to 512 expansion and not have someone do custom chips solder to expand memory. Forgot if the two SKU are are one for 256 and 512 RAM units that would be nice.
Sony has the "Portal" with LCD and no one is complaining about that??? Do people still think Switch 2 display is using 2017 LCD? LCD and OLED tech moves on ...
@MrCarlos46 ah never say never…! I’m genuinely quite excited for the April direct, and really hope that the showcase covers off all the ‘obvious’ facets of the unit: Price, release date, launch titles, 3rd party ports, unit variants (GB space and colour options)
I’m expecting also to be surprised with a few new 1st party titles. I’m dying for Starfox to return in some form, there’s tremendous potential for that IP I think… and it could be a brilliant open-space romp, maybe a mashup between Armored Core, Starfield and NMS
