@FishyS What a pain in the neck. I turned on Switch 1 tonight to play Civilization VI — which played hassle-free as of three days ago — and had to re-pair the Switches and re-load the virtual card on Switch 1. Mario Kart World is not worth this nonsense. Tomorrow I'm doing a factory reset on the 2 and not linking. Maybe not even re-registering. Good job, Nintendo.

I'm not sure if doing a factory reset would fix it. I think you need to re-assign all the virtual cards to Switch 1 either way. You may as well just go into the Switch 1 virtual game card settings and mass move them. You only have to do it once and even for 200 games it will take maybe 10 minutes. You may have to press the 'eject all' button on Switch 2 first, I'm not sure. Factory reset is a fast way to get rid of the icons I suppose but I'm not 100% sure if they will come back.
@FishyS Thank you, Fishy. I found the online instructions for de-linking, but since you can only do that once a year, I will first try what you suggested. Thank you for talking me down!
I've got a weird issue. When I play cyberpunk in 40 fps mode it kicks my switch 2 into 1440 p (which is normal) however when I go to the home screen (after a moment of black screen) all software icons are blown out and bright. The only way to fix this is to turn my TV off then on again. Anyone else encounter this?
I am having an issue where randomly the output to the TV drops to black for a second and then returns. It's happening with Kart and Cyberpunk. I used the Nintendo HDMI cable. I'm a bit worried.
For those having HDR mode issues...
1, Make sure you're using the correct HDMI standard.
2, Ensure Game mode is enable for the HDMI port you're plugged into.
Once HDR mode is configured correctly by pressing Y to make sure the pictures are in full screen, configure the brightness to find the perfect balance on all of the pictures be sure to cycle through a few times (FYI the Legend of Zelda HDR picture never looks correctly calibrated ( I believe this will require a patch to the game soon) )
Joy Con 2 brick issue, be sure to update all of your controllers (Pro controller, GC controller and especially the joycon2's) if the battery depletes they will become soft bricked so make sure you go into settings and select "update controllers" with all controllers that are connected.
One bug I encountered was not seeing my downloads as virtual game cards, my fix for this was a simple one, just do a full reboot after the system had fully downloaded my library.

@StarLord87 it's best to turn off HDR. I think it makes the games look so bad.
Here's a tip if you have a good OLED screen. Turn off HDR and look at the system OS on dark mode. It's a black background. Now turn on HDR, it turns grey.

That's all HDR does, makes everything grey-er.
HDR is the worst.
Have you compared the Switch 2 editions of BotW and TotK to the Switch 1 versions, for example? Those games support HDR, and with it the colours look way more vivid and the contrasts are deeper than how they were on Switch 1. Now, obviously any game which was only released on Switch 1 and not updated for the Switch 2 will not have any in-built HDR support, so many of them can look more washed-out or greyer. But with Switch 2 games that support HDR it really is an improvement.

This is what I have noticed too, but you do have to be very accurate with how you tune the brightness level on the HDR adjustment, I think people are going too bright with it, it is a much lower setting that you would expect.

I noted some weird movements on MkW playing docked with the joycons. Like when you lose connection 0.5 seconds when you are way far away from the console, but I’m literally close and not object interferes. Idk if I’m being paranoid.
Pro controller 2 goes like a straight bullet tho. Fantastic controller.
@Akeratsu
And make sure you don't have the smart steering on, although what you're describing sounds more like a blip in feedback rather than awkwardness in input.
But the game does default to smart steering when you first boot it up, and honestly I didn't realize it for like a full race or two and thought something horrible had already happened with my Joycon.
