Yeah, it wasn’t nothing serious, just a few moments. Besides that, and the little superficial almost non visible scratch in the film protector, and the first boot up “I’m catching on fire” temperature, the rest have been a BLISS. Sooo happy with the console.
And the screen is so nice (besides the stupid film protector design). And I say it having had the normal switch 1 model, and the oled. Switch 2 screen is so crisp and fresh. Idk why people keep saying “no oled no buy”. Screen is cool asf. I literally see no difference with the oled model.
@Akeratsu
Yea, the screen is super nice. I think I can notice a bit of a difference from my OLED, but honestly it's a tiny difference and the higher refresh rate is/and will be awesome as the generation moves forward.
@intend0H That video within the reddit thread gave me the idea to turn off the TV game mode. I switched the LG mode from game mode to filmmaker mode and while idk if it fixed the blackouts, but cyberpunk looks soooooo much better. I think there's a output conflict with LG TV game mode software and the Switch.
@intend0H thanks. Still isn't working. I am thinking there's either an issue with LG and Nintendo that can be patched or I have to send in my system which I don't want to do.
@Misima sorry to hear. My latest comment on the reddit thread "Same, spent more time on the PS5 (GT7) than MK yesterday as this stuff has left me with a bit of a downer. I've decided, even though mine's behaving (at the moment), but as we're all in the dark here, to return mine in a couple of weeks, if there hasn't been any firmware to address this stuff. Then re-order another one in a few months, after they've ironed out a few bugs. They've logically had to manufacture a lot of this faster than normal, due to the US tariff stuff.
Thankfully (?) Amazon UK (where mine is from) give you a month to return for full refund. After that expires, I imagine I'd be told to send it to Nintendo for some vague repair. Which isn't going to happen, risk of getting someone elses refurb back, worse unit, light bleed etc. V frustrating as the actual Switch 2 unit I have is near perfect."
@intend0H well, I am going to send it to them for warranty repairs. Odds are I'll get a much better solution that trying to get another system. Repair instead of sending the system to a landfill.
Yup I think so, I posted a link that I thought was helpful for people, a load of keyboard kiddies jumped on me and deleted stuff, not sure fully what happened but I dont have time for such things! Shame, ill start a new thread here, well try to!
My Switch 2 will not fill out the full screen in handheld mode. This happened after I downloaded and started playing Switch 1 games using virtual cards. But now Switch 2 games are stuck with black borders around them.
I’ve tried adjusting all settings in display. I tried docking and adjusting the tv settings. In docked, it fills out full screen.
@Pai you could start a new thread on this one but I'd turn it off properly ? hold the power button down until it says power off and power back on (ie not just standby mode)
Sometimes when playing in Docked Mode (happened twice), I saw a few objects on the screen, they are so small and resembling sparks, first time it happened a couple days ago and when I turned my TV (TCL C745) off and on again they are gone, today it happened again and when I entered Sleep Mode and back again they are gone, any idea what is this or if anyone encountered such thing?
Thanks in advance.
