Have you guys all decided where the best place to go for a switch 2 carry case? I grabbed my screen protector just now on amazon for 8 smackers from amfilm.. I read online they've made decent protectors for all the switch models thus far.

Puffballs United just confirmed on X that the Henry Stikmin collection will not be getting a S2 port.

Disappointing seeing how it would be perfect for it. But I do remember like 5 years ago saying he was done with the IP.

The price will not change.

I received my set of screen protectors today and woah.

The screen is huge. Like the screen protector covers the width of the switch 1 tablet, plus one joycon attached.

@CJD87 appreciate the recommendation, just picked up the slim, hard case!

I just snagged a screen protector. Now I just have to hope I can actually find a Switch 2 😆

Genuinely a great brand, and I’ve already had mine delivered… went for the grey slim this time!
Tomtoc cases were especially great for the deck, as the default/standard case provided is waaaay too bulky for my liking.

If you’re purely wanting to travel with the Switch/deck itself (and just a few game cards) then the Tomtoc cases are best in class I feel

I’d be keen to know what people choose though in cases where they want to bring everything (controller, dock, cables etc)… as the official Nintendo carry case is hugely expensive!

@CJD87 great stuff. I've always gone for the official N cases, namely the zelda ones for obvious reasons. They were never too expensive though. Maybe $20 with some game card cases. That's really all I need it for. Not the controllers or charger.

Just got back from picking up a carrying case and screen protector. Both were pretty decent prices, cause they were the Walmart brand, but both look pretty quality. The carrying case especially feels really sturdy. The next five days are gonna be painful lol.

Edit: I also put the original Switch in the case for sake of comparison, and my goodness this thing is going to be so big. Maybe now I'll be able to hold it without my hands going numb.

@Dev-N I don't know if you've looked, but you can check your preorder's status on your Walmart account page.

@Dev-N I haven't received one either from them (also have mine preordered at Walmart), so I'm guessing it's just not something they do. One thing you can watch for is the payment. They don't take it until the order ships I believe, so once you see that, it's safe for sure.

@OctolingKing13 so the way that usually works is you line up (like you need to be early because they are probably only getting 20-40 extras depending on the size of your store.) If they have staff and a smart manager they will have an express line (preorders only) and a purchase line (preorders and you wanna buy stuff). They are gonna let you in, in batches (so 5 at a time) to make things go smooth. Because if it is a mall store they have to pay extra to open at midnight and can only do so for a set number of hours (usually 2-4). Call your store to see if they are taking preorders for the day 1 shipment as this may vary by store. But by now they should know how many extras they are getting and will sometimes tell you. On topic: just paid mine off and waiting on release day. I don’t care for release day hype anymore (the picking up part not the system itself) due to GameStop PTSD so I will just stroll in on my lunch break. Took an hour of PTO since my best buy is on the other side of town.

@OctolingKing13
Yea, I think depending on store size, if you show up a few hours early, you should still get one.

@OctolingKing13 happy to help. Lol I won’t be opening mine until August as I am in the middle of boxing up my apartment to move.

It's insane to me that so many people think that Xenoblade X is actually coming to PC. Nintendo wouldn't let that happen for a variety of reasons. It would shoot themselves in the foot hardware-wise, as they rely on exclusives to push console units. They're also wanting more of an enclosed ecosystem to deliver news, and having people communicate about their products. I don't get why they would just dump one of their big online multiplayer exclusive games that'll get a boost on Switch 2 onto a storefront like Steam. Nintendo would probably make their own PC storefront, and require you to have a NSO account to play the game online if it even got a PC port.
