One thing I'm really curious about with the Switch 2 is how much DLSS ends up getting used. So far I think only two games are confirmed to use it, but I wonder why more aren't utilitizing it, at least as an option.

I'm going to be replaying EoW and BotW all over again on switch 2. It's been 6+ years since I've played BotW and while I did play EoW at launch, it's one of those games you can play through a number of times. Ill save tears of the kingdom for a rainy day.

Hello, wanna other people opinions/preference on which Micro SD Express to order early next week for my NS2 that will arrive in around 15 days. Either Lexar 256GB Read-900MB/s Write 600MB/s or SanDisk 256GB Read-880MB/s Write-650MB/s?! SanDisk one is timpty due I can buy at shop in my country that I used many time in past and for first 24+/- hours extra 50MB/s Write Speed would be great to download MKW, all my NS1 games & games updates, next day Fortnite NS2 version cause at June 6th 9AM EEST/8AM CEST/2AM EST/1PM Japan Current Season Ends while New One will start in around 4 hours after, so I don't believe they release NS2 version around 1,5 days left on current season. While Lexar one is more timpty with extra 20MB/s Read Speed when playing or using YouTube, but I need buy it from outside my country aka Amazon Germany and I be using Amazon for first time in my life. So I really wanna hear other people opinions/preference!?

Tough call.

I've always been a SanDisk mark.

But the online census seems to be that SanDisk cards have a higher failure rate than Lexar.

Switch Physical Collection - 1,536 games (as of December 14th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)

@Magician oh, this was more opinion about Maker then Speed, but cool to know.

Just saw that on Nintendo.com they now have the following disclaimer under the Switch 2 + MK World bundle:
Limited-time production through Fall 2025 (available while supplies last)
Did we know about this before? Wonder if that means all the people who entered the lottery to order this bundle will have to reenter the other lottery after fall?

@link3710
Yeah, it was known the MK bundle was limited. I had just assumed it was a way to get some early inventory out at what's effectively a lower price before the tarrif situation changes the margin calculations. Not sure about US prices but the bundle basically amounts to a bit under a 10% discount on the console, assuming you would've paid full retail for MK

I'd just see it as a bit of old-fashioned FOMO, to persuade people who are fans of Mario Kart but are otherwise unsure, to get in at launch. It's a pretty good deal if that's what you want, too. It's not like there's going to be a hard limit on the number of downloads though, so they can probably offer it to everyone who registers their interest before a certain date, even if the demand has a been somewhat higher than anticipated.

There will be more bundles in future though, probably with different games, and maybe even a new one in time for Christmas, even.

@NeonPizza
I definitely played that way when I was younger, but for a lot of the Switch generation, games were coming out so fast that I tended to blaze through games initially so that I could play the next thing coming out. Only later would I get a chance to do a second playthrough to 100% stuff.

This happened with LA, Odyssey, Luigi's Mansion 3, Dread, etc.

This gen was just so insane with the amount of awesome releases, especially like the first 5-6 years. It felt like every month some new blockbuster was coming out, and I like to play stuff when it first releases. It's just a fun feeling for me to play it alongside everyone else when the hype is high.

But it became pretty fun to have all these great games to sort of return to, doing another run and finding all the stuff I didn't before. It usually felt brand-new, actually. Odyssey, especially, was such a fun time to return with a second playthrough and get all the moons, it really did feel like a completely fresh game.

I think the biggest indicator of whether there's a summer general Direct is what happens with Legends Z-A next week. Nintendo are very happy with putting Pokemon in Directs nowadays:

  • June 2023 - Scarlet/Violet DLC and Detective Pikachu Returns
  • September 2023 - Detective Pikachu Returns
  • March 2025 - Legends Z-A
  • April 2025 - Legends Z-A

So it feels like there's 3 main potential outcomes considering late in the year Pokemon games get their release dates announced in late May/early June:
1. Legends Z-A gets a release date announcement next week via social media post, next general Direct is in September at the earliest
2. Legends Z-A doesn't get a release date announcement next week with it instead appearing in a June general Direct
3. Legends Z-A gets its release date announced via a general Direct airing next week

@Grumblevolcano I think a Direct could happen either way, Age of Imprisonment wasn't given a release date at the Creator's Voice so it seems like they're waiting for something. We still need release dates for Drag X Drive, Metroid Prime 4, Kirby Air Riders, Legends Z-A, and Age of Imprisonment, I can't see all of those being separate announcements. I personally don't expect a Direct a week before Switch 2 but then again I didn't expect a Direct a week before the big Switch 2 Direct.

I think there are 1-2 more unannounced Switch 2 Editions this year, at the very least. Also, can't forget about Mario's 40th anniversary and when Nintendo will decide to start celebrating it.

Ever since Nintendo's switch 2 invite thing went live, it's amazing how some Nintendo email subjects are emotional roller coasters now.😆

@PikminMarioKirby At first I thought GTA VI was the reason, but with it getting pushed back, maybe the games aren’t complete (please say DxD isn’t complete) and they need a bit more time to figure out when they will be?

If they're gonna announce a new Mario platformer, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a 3D one. It's been only a year and a half since Wonder but almost 8 years since Odyssey, so surely the next 3D Mario is much further in development.

I dont know thats my prediction and im sticking to it, if i only did obvious selections then being right or wrong wont be half as funny!

I like going into these directs thinking they are gonna annoumce a new Star Tropics or Earthbound 4 and instead we get a new Rhythym Heaven! Who expected that to return? But im sure glad it is!

Edit: the other reason why i chose 2d mario instead of 3d is because the Mario Odyssey team is working on Donkey Kong Bananza. So who is free? The 2d mario team...

There is Mario anniversary, so I could imagine it being either Switch 2 version of Mario Wonder or a Mario port (2d or 3d) which comes to both Switch 1 and Switch 2.

I don't think they will announce a 3D Mario so close to Donkey Kong.
