@skywake We will see. As of now we have no games confirmed to take advantage of the ray tracing. Star Wars Outlaws will be very interesting to see. That’s the only thing we don’t know off DLSS has already shown to be outstanding and rumors are saying it is getting an update (hopefully transformer) later this year. Great times ahead. This isn’t a switch 1 situation.

Honestly, I was thinking about Switch 2, but prices don't make it desirable. Might dabble with Playstation for a bit since they have Astro Bot and Digimon Story Time Stranger (All I want is for Switch 2 to get the latter and I'll take a chance with it)

Hey guys I'm a gamer, student, sorta youtuber, but most of all NERD

@NeonPizza
Yeah, there are certainly a few games I skipped on Switch I might revisit now. Some I've well and truly played through I'll give another spin like Link's Awakening, BotW, Arms, Clubhouse Games. I'll probably also grab some I skipped because I had them on Wii U now there's more of a reason to double dip like Captain Toad and possibly New SMB U

I'm also hoping for a Pikmin 4 free update because it's one title I inexplicably skipped and now I'm holding out for a patch. Prime Remastered I got but didn't play through, a free update on that probably drags me back in. There are also a lot of games I picked up on Steam rather than Switch because of performance issues that, assuming those largely resolve on Switch 2, probably won't be a thing going forward as much

There's a goldmine of Switch games here. Plenty to keep me occupied even if I don't grab a pile of Switch 2 games

@JaxonH the reason why I asked about this case was, because my country (Lithuania) shops still not selling any Screen Protectors even as Pre-Orders yet, so thought about buying official thing if I buy outside my country then. But I'm too usually buy from 3rd parties as well cause they make much better & practical accessories that are cheaper then Nintendo it self, but from my country shops.

PS: does anyone know where I can buy Micro SD Express Cards that are 1TB or at least 512GB (plaese no eBay suggestions, because I'm not gambler!)?! Because my plan was always update my Micro SD from 512GB to 1TB with NS2, but when they announced it only works with Micro SD Express, even physical shape and size of both are still the same even for the slot, I was like this tech just hit market and barely anyone in the world makes & sell these. Now by the time my planned savings reach solid money where I can buy it what I planned with ease now I want/need to buy Micro SD Express instead of buying originally planned Micro SD when all 1TB & 512GB Micro SD Express Cards on Amazon already sold out around months ago! Really Nintendo, why you decided not support Micro SD in Micro SD slot and only support Micro SD Express in Micro SD slot, when this tech just hit market and are barely sold worldwide...
Edit: I just heard that NS2 actually will work with regular Micro SD Cards, but it only allow us to play NS1 Games of it, is it true?!

Here's a link to a bunch of uncompressed Cyberpunk footage. Game looks great.

@SViper No, regular micro SDs can be used to transfer Switch 1 screenshots and video captures only.

They opted for microSD Express cards because they are significantly faster than the standard ones, which is necessary for modern games

@NeonPizza
I think I have like 80 hours in the Link’s Awakening remake lol

I’ve done like 4 play throughs, including one where I got absolutely everything. It’s such a good game.

It was one of my favorites on my GameBoy, and the remaster just makes it even better.

@IceClimbers thank you for answer, so what I heard today about at least NS1 games could work from Micro SD on NS2, but not NS2 games is wrong and I'm still fully need Micro SD Express to me fully move from my NS1 to NS2!

Just a heads up for those that didn't get a preorder in: I can confirm that my local Walmart is getting over 70 units in ahead of launch, most of which are the bundle. Ymmv of course but hopefully stores have similar numbers across the country.

@Grumblevolcano Honestly I keep forgetting this game exists (it gets lost in the noise of Mario Kart / launch-window titles), only to get hyped again every time it's mentioned.

I completed Age of Calamity earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Even in 2025 I was impressed by what they could do on the Switch with that game (such an artistically gorgeous game with so much action - I know a lot of people have issues with the performance but tbh that was not my experience). I'm confident a bigger, better sequel on the Switch 2 will blow me away.

Really hope the stream of Warriors spin-offs continues well into the Switch 2's life. Persona 5 Strikers, Fire Emblem Three Hopes, and Age of Calamity really did their main series games justice IMO.

Should watch this from start to finish. Cyberpunk 2077 in the 30fps quality mode. There are definitely a few choke points noticed, mostly when driving at full speed and you hit heavy traffic intersections and during heavy gunfights with lots of NPCs. But even then it's usually only a drop of four or maybe five frames at most and only very briefly. The overwhelming majority of this footage is a rock solid straight line 30fps and not just that but amazing frame timing as well.

The 40fps mode with VRR is gonna be butter.

FragRed

@JaxonH Is the game going to have a performance mode for 60fps?

@rallydefault It's a brilliant game. I never played it back in the day so it was an entirely new adventure for me. I loved everything about it. Well except for the dodgy framerate and blur effect. I had been considering replaying it again for a while but after seeing it's getting an upgrade, I'm happy to wait.

I'm playing through Luigi's Mansion 3 just now. I did consider waiting to see if it gets a Switch 2 upgrade but who knows when or if that will happen. If it does, I'll play through it a third time in a few years from now.

I can't believe it's been over 5 years since I last played LM3. I was shocked seeing my save file say January 2020. The pre-COVID days feel like a lifetime ago for me. Yet when I was playing the movie studio level again, it felt like only months had passed since I last played it.

Anyone know if a travel adapter would work for the Switch 2’s dock? Was going to pick up a second Switch 2 on behalf of my partner who lives in America since pre orders have been insane there, and bring it over to here when I visit shortly after (i’m from Ireland), would a simple Type G to Type A/B adapter let her use the dock? I don’t know enough about voltages and stuff

@squisan I'm not sure about a travel adapter, but for longer-term use you could just buy a replacement American AC adapter. Last year I gave my old Switch 1 to my brother-in-law's kids; I live in Finland, so my Switch had a Euro type adapter, and they live in Costa Rica, where they use the same kind of adapters as in the US. So we bought an official American-style AC adapter from Nintendo for 30 euros, replaced the Euro adapter with it, and the Switch works just fine in Costa Rica.

The US Nintendo store has a similar adapter for the Switch 2, though you can't order one until 5th of June:

After the Switch 2 is released, I'm sure you can find cheaper third-party adapters too.

Most modern electronics are designed to work with a wide range of voltages so as long as you have an adapter of the appropriate shape they should still work. I personally have used a travel adapter with Switch 1 before and it worked fine.

Yea, LA is like top 10 games of all time for me.

And Luigi’s Mansion 3 is such a masterpiece. I did two playthroughs of that one, the second to 100% it.

I really need to give Echoes of Wisdom another shot with the Switch 2 patch. I beat it at launch, but I pretty much rushed through it and didn’t 100% it. I think I had some other games I wanted to get to at the time, but maybe in the next few months when I’m done with MK World for a bit.
