I think they'll bring it back in some form kind of like how they delisted 3D All Stars got delisted for them to add Mario 64 and Sunshine to NSO Expansion Pack while adding Galaxy to a Galaxy 1+2 bundle. Not identical but the natural next move for FE1 is for the DS remake to be added to DS NSO.
SMB 35 evolved to be a "99" mode for Mario Maker perhaps? It doesn't feel like it at the moment but if Nintendo is serious about mouse controls then Mario Maker 3 would be a killer app for the control style. I guess Fortune's Weave would be a key indicator to see the extent to which Nintendo wants to support mouse controls.

Rayman Legends on the Wii U was indeed seriously awesome. I played the heck out of that game. I freaking love platformers.
And yea, I agree with lots of you: I think the next Mario Maker is gonna have some kind of survival/knockout mode just like everything else these days lol
@rallydefault
I bought Rayman Legends day one on Wii U. The Murphy levels really made it the definitive version at the time. Beat the game, and loved it so much I went back and beat Origins afterward.
I really did appreciate the gamepad back in the day. I don't want another console to split screens like that but I'm glad I got to experience one console generation in that manner. The games that took advantage of it really shined. Wii Sports Club Golf = best golfing simulation ever created. Zombi U, Mario Maker, Pikmin 3, Star Fox Guard, The Wonderful 101... most games didn't utilize the gamepad properly but those that did, man that was a heck of a cool time to be a gamer.

Yea, some of the games that went all-in with the gamepad turned out pretty cool. Zombi U was such a unique experience, especially for the time. I had a blast with it, personally. But apparently the rest of the world didn't lol
Do you know what I like the most about this "neutral" site: That they totally ignore the fact that Switch 2 sales TANKED during the holiday! Look on youtube, there are tons of videos. It seems that the core gamers who wanted a Switch 2 have it by now (I have it too, but hated the price), but all the others ignore it because its to expensive (and because they already have a old Switch with its massive library of games). Or they just buy a old Switch now, much cheaper. Nintendo's greed has catched up with them, again. I wonder what this year will happen, price-wise.

I don't think anyone ever claimed this site is neutral - it literally has Nintendo in its name. That said, it does often ignore clickbait YouTube videos.
But also, it has in fact reported on the low November sales. Such Nintendolife articles as 'The US Suffered lts Worst November Since 1995 In
Terms Of Hardware Sales // PS5 beats the Switch 2'.
As for overall holiday sales? We know Switch 2 did better in December in at least some regions but we'll have to wait a few weeks to get the most accurate sales information.
@rallydefault
Toad Treasure Tracker made great use of it, and Pikmin 3 even allowed you to use the Gamepad standing up right on it's stand as a map, while you used the Wii remote & nunchuck to play on the TV.
Then you've got Nintendo Land, Wii Fit U, there a were few cool ideas even with Game & Wario(Arrow, Taxi, Pirates & Camera were the high lites) as dissapointing as that sequel was compared to Smooth Moves since it was flooded with half baked filler. I dont have enough experience with Wii U to really add much more. I was all about the DS Lite, Wii + Virtual Console and first 2 years of the 3DS which was an insanely magical trio of innovation, before taking a bit of a video game hiatus.
And I don't know how I'd feel about having to constantly look down at the game pad's screen and then back up on the TV these days. It was never as seemless vs the connected DualScreens of the DS Lite & 3DS.
Lol people are so desperate to scream, "Nintendo is failing! Ha! You're all second class gamers pretending to have more fun than everyone else! And this site is just hiding it!"
NintendoLife literally reported on November sales. Nothing is being hidden or not reported on.
The reason nobody cares is because of context.
1) Switch 2 sold just as much globally its first November as Switch 1 did its first November. And we all know how that turned out.
2) Switch 2 is still outpacing the original Switch, and every other console launch aligned, even despite a soft November.
3) The Switch 2 didn't drop in sales vs the prior 5 months- it's statistically bound within the exact same range of monthly global sales its been all year. It merely didn't see a holiday surge in addition. Which can be explained by the fact its in its first year, is in line with Switch its first Nov, is $150 more expensive and PS5 ran $100-150 orange clearance discounts.
4) Original projections estimated 15m by Mar 31st, but were subsequently upgraded to 19m. And NS2 is still on track to meet that target. Nov sales were exactly in line with their projections. The console should be at 15m as of Dec 31st, which means it should land right around 19m by end of the fiscal year.
This whole thing is a charade by the willfully ignorant. They cherry pick one month that was right in line with the Switch 1 during its first Nov, despite being $150 more expensive and the least spending by consumers in 30 years, and somehow portay it as an omen of doom.
I'm gonna laugh so hard when this system doesn't fail and these people are forced to eat crow.

This is a great video showcasing the recent simulated NS2 version of Monster Hunter Wilds, running on PC with all internal settings matching those leaked for this version.
And it shows it running on Steamdeck at like 540p 20fps to compare with (and I can confirm- I tried running on my Deck OLED and it was unplayable, which I never say lightly). Once you see that, and then look at the simulated NS2 version, it's wild how much better it is (pun intended).
If this is what the NS2 version will look like, and holds a stable 30, I'm diving back in to give this one another go.

Also worth mentioning those soft November sales were for the US specifically. December sales haven't been reported on (the month where the bulk of Nintendo's holiday sales have been historically), so we have no idea what the overall holiday sales were globally.
Any YouTube video claiming to know otherwise is ragebait grifting content that should not be given any attention whatsoever.
Well, when I’m looking for my “neutral” (what? lol) gaming news about a particular company, I know I go to whatever site has the actual name of the company in it!
While it's very bad for a new console to end up with a big 1st party game drought, having experienced the massive 1st party Switch game drought of 2025 (the gap between XCX on March 20th and Galaxy 2 on October 2nd) without having a Switch 2, I think if I had bought Wii U at launch instead of 10 months after launch I still would've had a lot of fun with it despite the infamous drought between launch and Summer 2013.
3rd party games and backlog really carried that Switch 1st party drought and it was still a very fun experience so I reckon if I had a Wii U at launch I would've delved more into Wii stuff I hadn't played before at that point in time (e.g. Super Paper Mario, Wario Land Shake Dimension, Pikmin 1 and 2), bought a bunch of 3rd party games on Wii U (e.g. Sonic Transformed, Arkham City) instead of 360 and still had a lot of fun.
The most amusing thing about this "sales tank" bit is that November sales for Switch 2, while not amazing, were still higher than every month outside of launch. And by "the PS5 outsold it" they mean "for the first time since launch in NA in the month PS typically performs best"
It also ignores that:
1. The Switch 2 is still outpacing the Switch
2. Console sales across the board are soft ATM and one of the main reasons PS is still doing ok is because XBox effectively no longer exists
But even more amusingly, as I keep saying, is the idea that people think that sales even matter. I'm just here because the hardware is neat. I buy gaming hardware to play games, it seems that some people buy them for other reasons
They're just butthurt their favored console is getting outshined, like the boy that gets jealous their new baby brother is getting all the attention from mommy.
That's honestly what it is. Hate to be so blunt, but there's no other motivation which explains such a radical obsession and exaggeration over something that doesn't even affect any of us anyways. Like, why do you care so much to go out of your way to randomly start preaching doom, getting all emotional about it? What does it matter to you? Oh, right. It's about trying to stroke that damaged ego. Done walking on eggshells with these people. Calling a spade a spade.
If Switch 2 goes 12 full months and struggles to sell more than 5-10m globally in that time span, Nintendo drops price and it still sees no increase, and we start getting statements from 3rd parties about dropping support, by all means sound the alarm. Until then, sit back, relax, and just enjoy some freaking video games!
I had a thought about GameShare. So right now it's a pretty niche feature with few use cases, mostly serving just as a party trick as of now, but I could see it becoming pretty popular when the Switch 2 Lite model inevitably releases.
When the feature was first revealed in the NS2 Direct, it was presented as an alternative to playing games in traditional couch co-op. The problem: couch co-op is just better, so GameShare wouldn't see much use for more people. That said, with a Switch 2 Lite that cannot play in couch co-op, GameShare suddenly becomes the best way for Lite owners to play multiplayer games with friends at social gatherings or online.
"well it appears I am upside down. what ever will I do?"
