I doubt its a 3D remake of "the dragon slayer series", mostly because that would be way too expansive to be a single thing. After all, depending on how you count the Dragon Slayer series is six games, and even if you exclude Xanadu ( because its already been revived ), and Lord Monarch ( because its a somewhat unrelated strategy game ), that's still four titles. Either they'd be making a full 3D reimagining of a game, or else it'd be more moderate remasterings of the series collectively.

What if its a full-on ambitious re-imagining of the original 1984 dragon slayer!?

Certainly plausible, though the original is so bare bones that I can't imagine a "reimagining" that wouldn't basically be indistinguishable from a new game. Think Xanadu vs Xanadu Next, or even Xanadu vs Tokyo Xanadu.

feel like the recent "handheld boost" feature could make it worth revisiting some of the switch 1 games which looked bad on switch 2 like the daybreak games to see if it fixes a lot of the display related issues or if they still look iffy.

@Mgalens yes I checked daybreak ii and it runs perfectly now the visual problems i had issues with previously are now gone and the game runs and looks as good as daybreak 1 maybe even better in handheld mode,
Its cool that both problems i reported in this thread at first with daybreak ii and the crossbell games have now been fixed, so all the trails games on switch 1 can now be played on the new console without any issues.

Also it would be cool to check out reverie and the cold steel games too.

@Nep-Nep-Freak the game looks awesome, really looking forward to the sequel after playing 80 hours on part 1, the first game is getting a port to switch in japan so hopefully even if they don't remake 3rd, they will port the og 3rd game to switch.

Additionally, new footage of kyoto xanadu has been released online, however the game still lacks a solid release date and publisher in the west.
