Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

I don't know if there's anything substantial to this, but one of the Leaks and Rumors subreddits I follow is claiming that a Fortune's Weave trailer with a September 17, 2026 release date is getting dropped today. There's also potentially another Direct related thing since something got updated.

I read this info like an hour ago, so some facts might not be accurate. It's also unverified info from Reddit, and might be false.

"B- b- b- but how could you?! The almighty and all-knowing upside down Rowlet has declared that an Ocarina of Time Remake is coming out on September 17th, which means it must be so! Our almighty upside down fowl is never wrong, and anyone who questions him deserves his wrath!" - some devoted follower of the upside down Rowlet fan club, probably

So while @Nep-Nep-Freak is correct that anyone who denies my prophetic vision should face Biblical levels of calamity, I wouldn't count it as impossible that the Mineru amiibo launches alongside Fire Emblem rather than Ocarina of Time.

After all, my theory of September 17th being a game release date at all was based primarily on some Kirby Air Riders amiibo launching alongside games which weren't Kirby Air Riders. Granted, in that situation, it's not like they had another Kirby game to release those amiibo alongside whereas there would be one here. But, I will acknowledge the possibility that Nintendo announces a new version of the OoT Link Amiibo and have that release alongside OoT Remake instead of Mineru's Construct, then it might be preferable to release Mineru's Construct alongside Fire Emblem.

So depending on what amiibos Nintendo has under wraps, Fire Emblem could release September 17th, though I still count Ocarina of Time more likely for that date. As for the accuracy of this leak, I don't know who posted it, but I think it would have been a lot more credible had it been said before the amiiibo date reveal and before the missing Nintendo Music Drop implying some sort of news imminently.

@UpsideDownRowlet For what it's worth, the first few Prime 4 amiibo came out on the same day as Age of Imprisonment with Sylux coming out on the actual game's release date. The TOTK Champions amiibo came out the day of Mario Kart World (and the Switch 2 launch). As for the Kirby Air Riders amiibo, Meta Knight came out the same day as Pokopia, and King Dedede comes out with Rhythm Heaven Groove. There's definitely smoke to this theory. I think you may have found the fire. The only question is what's it going to be?

I suspect the raiders announcement in the app last year was to promote the app not the game.

I personally believe that Splatoon Raiders was announced early because that time was shortly after the 10th anniversary of the first Splatoon. They also announced a Splatoon 3 update around the same time.

Somebody pay the devs who developed Astral Chain to whip up a NS2 port running at 60fps already at 1080p.
I'm just repeating myself, but i can't get into Pikmin 4 either due to the 30fps cap(Motion clarity looks muddy and unatural as heck), plus it's running at like 720p.

I'm sure Pikmin 4(NS2) will happen at some point, and in all honesty I wouldn't be surprised if they announced it during the next direct. Maybe even a Luigi's Mansion 3 capped at 60fps as well. I may not be the biggest Metroid prime 1 fan(3 is my my holy moly' grail), but I'll gladly pay for an NS2 upgrade that supports 120fps @1080p+.

BTW, do you have to buy the NS2 version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder in order to get the 4K resolution boost? Or can you just play the NS1 version on NS2 for a free resolution update?

Nintendo definitely isn't quite as giving as Sony is, in terms of free updates in regards to port optimization goes. Ah Nintendo. Greedy little ninny muggins. lol And in all seriousness, i've been on NL since 2008/2009 when it used to be VC-Reviews.

And actually, Nintendo has already given us free resolution updates(including locked 60fps, HDR and improved NPC frame rates) with the likes of Super Mario Odyssy, 3D World, Toad Treasure Tracker, Link's Awakening & OOW. So ya, they do DO that, but just not in the case of Wonder. I couldn't care less about the the additional DLC, i just want to experience the main campaign in 4K. I'm only around 25% into the NS1 version, so.

@WaveBoy I have not aware of any "Free" updates since the original round at launch. Since then they seem to have packaged them with paid DLC and/or SW2 upgrade.

The two Zeldas are free NS2 upgrades (including the phone app stuff) with NSO.

As I was writing, a voice in my head said I should verify what free boosts Nintendo has given, but for some reason (probably because it irked me and I haven't paid it... yet) all I could think of was the charge for the 4k bump on Xenoblade Chronicles X. But hey, recency trumps all 😝

You could count Splatoon 3 since it was a couple days after the launch. Mario Galaxy also got it ig. But from older games nothing else I think.

So, there's someone on reddit claiming they faked the the Fortune's Weave trailer leak. I can't verify this information for certain, so I'm just confused and exhausted and want to sleep and play DK.

As you can see, it includes the original round of games, plus Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Pokémon Champions, Splatoon 3, and Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 (which they surprisingly put together in one entry).

@LastFootnote SMG1&2 was released for both platforms the same day. So technically launch day for the game.
