tbh people have waaay too high expectations for this game.

@Stamina_Wheel I’m just tired of this sensationalized cycle of “leaks”. Nintendo fans are always the only ones who obsess over this sort of thing, and even when a leaker is proven to be just an attention hog, people still believe them in spite of that. I hated Samushunter, and yet people believed the fraud that they were because they got one thing right. One thing that they stole.

I wish people would stop giving into these attention seekers and would wait patiently like most other people. I’m tired of the youtube clickbait. Tired of people like switchforce covering any and all “leaks” in attempt to garner validation. This cycle only serves to feed those types of people, and when things don’t happen people end up upset. They end up complaining that said thing didn’t happen in the first place, when if they didn’t look into those fraudsters, they wouldn’t even be in that state of mind.

@DiamondCore @VoidofLight The previous Playstation Showcase cycle was extreme too but lasted even longer because the May 2023 showcase was apparently originally meant to air in October 2022 but got delayed. The general idea was that the showcase would be massive to kick off phase 2 of the PS5 and that turned out to be completely wrong in the end.

The showcase was bad but the expectations set by the rumours made the reception a lot worse, think Nintendo E3 2015 scale.

I guess it's a wait for Direct situation at this point and see what's announced. I did plan on the Pokemon DLC lasting until Pikmin 1+2 releases next week (I'm still picking up Baten Kaitos 1+2 this week but Pikmin is a higher priority in terms of play order) but my game already crashed about 30 minutes after arriving in Kitakami. From this I get the feeling I may be best off playing parts 1 and 2 of the Pokemon DLC at the same time.

It's possible they announce a Direct at 3pm UK time (a bit under an hour from now) but it's not looking promising.

The only source I have followed throughout the past week was Pyoro and I don’t think they ever hinted about any Direct’s this week. I get the impression the hints about forthcoming games they posted was perhaps made into something it wasn’t by everyone assuming a Direct was happening this week.

Why would there be a direct? We know the Xmas title is Mario wonder.

They’re not going to release anything else to compete. So all a direct would tell us would be games for next spring.. and there ain’t gonna be any if there’s a new console coming.

Interesting how they specifically mention games launching this winter. Wonder if this means we won't be seeing anything about the Peach game and LM Dark Moon?
