Notice that I wasn't asking for it to not get new content, I was just asking for the content that is already there to remain untouched and just add in new content without changing the already existing content, which is possible.
Possible, yes, but given how widely well-received the last update was (which changed parts of the preexisting content), I doubt that's gonna happen.
since nintendo is seemingly taking this week to dish out a nice handful of announcements, i was almost ready to assume the update would come this week, but then i remember that the mar10 day event isn't over yet, they just started the last part today, and it'll end in a week.
i would assume they'll wait until after it's finished to even consider patches, despite it being close to 2 months since the last one

@squiddu-real It'll honestly be a huge shame if the update releases next week as it really suggests Nintendo took the CrossWorlds ad as a personal attack instead of as a funny joke.
MK World 1.3.0 released 2 days before Switch 1 version of CrossWorlds, MK World 1.4.0 released 2 days before Switch 2 digital version of CrossWorlds and Switch 2 physical version releases on March 26th. 3 consecutive times would look intentional.
