One of my biggest hopes is more streaming apps available on the console. Specifically Spotify, though Audible would be nice as well (although the latter is unlikely considering its a sense on other consoles.)

Figured I'd post a screen size comparison again given we seem to be getting more and more accessory leaks that don't really have the size for context. Basically, the screen on this thing will be about the same height as the Steam Deck OLED but a tad wider because it's a 16:9 screen rather than 16:10.
Here's how that looks in comparison to the Switch, Switch Lite, DS and 3DS screens:
Some playlists: Top All Time Songs, Top Last Year
An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
@skywake Dang, that makes the Switch 2 look much larger than I expected. As someone with a visual disability, I strongly approve of the increased screen size.
Hot Take: Voice chat through the app is sooo close to being a good idea. Most of us use an app for voice chat anyway (discord), but the main restriction that makes the NSO app difficult to use is that you have to already form a group in-game and THEN you can use voice chat. If you could voice chat with your friends through the app, whether you’re even playing the same game or not, then it would be easy to coordinate lobbies.
You can’t control the way others talk to you, but you can control the way you talk to others.
HDR (in TV mode at least)
Many games would just look 100x better. Like Luigi's Mansion. Everything looks absolutely nice can't complain, except some lighting. Details getting crushed by SDR.
I mean. HDR in 1st party Nintendo games would be an aha moment for me. :')
Hardware features:
-Dual screen clamshell like the DS and 3DS with detachable screens, allowing you to play it like a DS/3DS in handheld mode and a Wii U in docked mode.
-Hall Effect control sticks
-Return of analog triggers for the ZL/ZR buttons
-R and L bumpers replaced with scroll wheels that can be pressed in (similar to the control sticks) to continue to use the L and R buttons
Software features:
-GC added to NSO at launch, with DS added down the line
-Ability to transfer save date from Switch 1 to Switch 2
-Return of Streetpass, or some kind of spiritual successor
Games:
-Mario Kart 9 with new tracks, a new gimmick of some kind (can't think of one), and adds in some non-gacha Tour elements, like having R, T, and R/T tracks and an actual shop that you can buy chars and kart parts with coins.
-A second Mario Kart game later in the console's life that is Diddy Kong Racing/Forza Horizons style, an open world racer where you can race through courses that take place in the overworld, complete racing challenges, and use your Kart to explore.
-Rosalina gets a spinoff that essentially functions as a Mario Galaxy 3
-A 3D DK game that is a linear 3D platformer with beat em up elements. Think something like the Werehog from Sonic Unleashed, God of War, or Knack.
-Some kind of open world Splatoon game, whether Splatoon 4 goes in that direction or they make a spinoff, which has an open world single player campaign and a Battle Royale mode.
-A Star Fox game in the vein of Starlink, with open space exploration
-A reimagining or ALBW-esque sequel to OoT with a larger, more open overworld and a better written story.
-A spinoff of Animal Crossing starring Tom Nook that is more of a tycoon management sim.
-A 3D Kirby Metroidvania-esque game similar to Great Cave Offensive and Amazing Mirror
-A Kirby 64 remake with 4 player co-op where the other players can play as Waddle Dee (maybe retconned to be Bandana Dee), Adeline, and King Dedede and with Leaf and Water added as new Copy Abilities.
-A sequel/reimagining of Yoshi's Story made by Good Feel, which has pop up book level gimmicks (for example, Yoshi can use his tongue to pull on a pull tab, and it makes platforms appear).
-Astral Chain 2
-Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail ports
A good Animal Crossing game that brings the series back to what it's supposed to be rather than a mindless sandbox sim. Something more like New Leaf, which balances the life sim aspects and decorating aspects.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
-Dual screen clamshell like the DS and 3DS with detachable screens, allowing you to play it like a DS/3DS in handheld mode and a Wii U in docked mode.
That would actually be interesting, but probably won’t happen, at least on its own. Maybe with a separate dual screen attachment allowing it to be something like a DS/3DS, especially if it also allows us to use an original Switch tablet as a secondary screen.
There’s also the Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Advance, and the other New Super Mario Bros. styles (New Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. 2) and their power ups (including the gold/silver flower from NSMB2)
In fact, how about also make it so we can change from making courses in 2D to being able to make them in full-on 3D, which can also allow them to add the Super Mario 64/64 DS, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy (and Galaxy 2), 3D Land and Odyssey styles.
for the system itself im hoping for more of the same but improved (better joycons etc) keeping the ability to still choose how you play the games rather than forcing a specific "gimmick" that is mandatory to play the games.
in terms of the other stuff the ability to purchase retro content is a big one alongside improving things like the input lag.
also an improved eshop which runs better and allows for better sorting and searching options (and music)
a big feature i would love to see is some kind of hardware "boost" feature for older games, i dont mean games getting an "upgrade" patch (though that would be nice) but more things like smoothing out frame-drops/load times etc, similar to playing 3ds games on a "new" 3ds or ps4 games on a ps5.
Thought of two just now.
1. The ability to launch and suspend multiple games simultaneously.
2. When I plug in my Switch when it's turned off, remain off. I play with a Lite, so maybe this doesn't apply to a regular model. But if I turn off my Switch, I want it to stay off, even after I plug it in to charge.
