They said select titles from past NSO lineups will be on Switch 2, please tell me we're not losing all those 3rd party games from NSO. I don't wanna go back, we've lost progress on classic games on Nintendo too often, I can't go through it again.

I assumed they said "select titles" because you can't just play any NES/Gameboy/N64/etc. game you want, only the ones that are on NSO. Not that only select titles from NSO will be playable. Hopefully that's what they meant.

I understood it as "select titles" meaning those that already existed in NSO, but that's the optimist in me

They always refer to the NSO libraries as "select titles". No reason to panic.

They can't preclude there being another Super Soccer situation, I suppose, so they can't say it'll be all of them.

I hope you're all right. The fact that one game randomly disappeared recently would be weird if the next console was the cutoff, especially since I would assume (hope) Nintendo would have the foresight to have NSO as a whole being what 3rd party publishers are signing up for and not Nintendo Switch 1 specifically.

Imagine if we just lose Goldeneye again, 2 years later.

I think they did this to get more NSO subscribers. They have over 150mils Switch and less then have NSO and this is a shrewd but brilliant strategy, I guess.

@kkslider5552000 I'd imagine that GoldenEye will be on some sort of time limited deal, because film licenses always are.

Hopefully - unlike its original run - there will be interest from all parties on renewing it when it's time is up, because it's clear that it's a game with a huge ongoing following that, perhaps most significantly, can continue to make money for them all.
