I went all out on my phone. I had a 7-11 phone that I got Miimoto to run on, but it was a pain, so I got a high line phone for the first time and now I'm being a gangster on Miimoto. I boot it up and the new phone I got runs it really well. I'm not rooting my phone or anything...
@RR529 Are you friends with me on Miitomo? Having some unfamiliar friends and just checking to confirm whether you are indeed in my friend list.
And yeah, I've noticed some language and questionable content from users here and there. I'm worried for some reason...
Anyone else having really long loading delays? I'm currently waiting for my character to update his clothing. I've been waiting over five minutes so far. This, to me, is not an improvement on loading times!

Sounds like connection issues. I didn't notice the load time improvements until I was connected to Wi-Fi, that is when everything seemed a lot better.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
I have 40Mb download speed, via BT fibre - it's not a connection issue. Server issue, maybe.
The app is incredibly unreliable for me - sometimes load times are in seconds, others minutes or, as in the case earlier never - I gave up. It's a shambles. If it was any other company than Nintendo, I wouldn't use this app at all.
That's why I got a new phone. I had a ZTE 7-11 phone, and upgraded it to the premium ZTE phone from Walmart. It should be able to run all the new apps for years to come without a problem, except the VR, 3D, and camera technology(like 240f or stutter shot, whatever it's called) that they just put in the new iPhone and/Samsung.
There's practically no load times for anything. Miimoto loads in like 1-2 second, for initial boot up, and it runs it really well.
After plenty of play time, I've gotta level one big criticism at Miitomo: The coin economy absolutely sucks.
At the core of it, the clothing options and Miitomo Drop fee are just too expensive compared to the amount of coins you earn by both playing and paying. It's very frustrating, as there are myriad ways this could've been adjusted prior to release — as is, you don't get enough coins for listening to and answering questions, you can't win coins in Miitomo drop, you can't sell clothing items or gift coins (or anything else), you can't claim coins as My Nintendo rewards, and spending $1 on coins typically doesn't even give you enough to purchase a single clothing item.
That last one is a huge contrast to Nintendo's premiere IAP-driven game, Badge Arcade, which many criticize as being too much of a money grab. In that "money grab," $1 nets you an average of 5 to 10 badges. As a player, I'm alright with that — sure, they're digital tchotchkes, but the money I'd spend on a bottle of water, a candy bar or a small tip is totally fine for said digital tchotchkes. In comparison to Badge Arcade's handful of digital items per $1, $1 in Miitomo (1,000 coins) typically can't even buy you a single article of clothing for your Mii — for the same price, you get about 3/4 of a shirt compared to 5 or 10 badges.
And yet the Miitomo Shop rotates its items daily and sells outfits for upward of 4,000 coins. As an almost daily player since launch, regular My Nintendo user, and a conservative shopper, I'm just about broke already. How are you expected to afford the things on offer, without spending $5 or $10 per week?
And no, I don't think that encouraging that sort of spending is game's M.O. — the IAPs are virtually hidden within Miitomo's interface. Brand engagement is Nintendo's ultimate goal with this one, and the broken in-game economy discourages the regular play that they need to achieve that engagement. I really hope it's balanced in the future, especially seeing as there are so many easy and obvious ways to help alleviate the issue.
100% agree with you, VelvetElvis! The clothing prices are outrageous! I bought quite a few pieces of clothing the first couple days Miitomo came out, since I thought earning more coins wouldn't be that difficult. Now I totally regret buying a bunch of clothing, since I have almost no coins left for anything new! Just listening to answers doesn't give you nearly enough coins to buy anything in the shop. The one thing I hate the most is the daily shop items. To me, they're pretty much the only clothing that interest me in the entire shop, and seeing the price for just one of the pieces amazes me. And yeah, 500 coins for one drop? Way too much!
And at least with the badge arcade, like you said, you have the change to get more than one thing for your money. Plus, I think the badges have a bit more "value" for your money, since you see the badges every time you turn on your 3DS, whereas the Miitomo clothing, you'll have to change out of it for the daily mission anyway.
For Miitomo, either lower the clothing prices, or increase the amount of coins you get for your money. Nintendo needs to do something, since Miitomo is already getting a little boring not being able to get clothing for long periods of time... hopefully these issues will resolve soon!
Agreed 100% on the economy being terribly balanced - ESPECIALLY with the "change every day" mission. Other parts of Miitomo range from excellent to mildly questionable; the coin economy is simply bad.
Never mind. I boots up in like 4-5 seconds for initial boot up, then boots in 2-3 seconds if it was already running. It just seemed like 2 seconds, since I wasn't paying attention.
I'm not surprised by the outfits. This only makes more sense to me, if we can import the Miis with clothing to everywhere that it works, like another app. That's why I figure there will be guns, because there's already a ninja sword.
