I managed to get one sword (picked green), didn't get the wood body that I wanted sadly but got the head, managed to get a few things and a load of candy =w=
Thankfully you get some extra coins and tickets, I spent all my stuff already, just waiting daily to get my daily rewards and some coins for answering questions, but my mii should be fine for a while, just waiting for a SKELETON outfit : P
Dang, that drop is a shame (if it's even that big a deal — I don't know enough about app sales to know). I find that Miitomo is a lot more enjoyable as you go along — the more friends you add and the more you interact, the more fun it gets.
I think that drop is because Nintendo isn't doing anything special with Miitomo. Normally there are special events to lure people in during launch. I could see an increase of users when new My Nintendo Rewards are released and if they start doing special events for future Game Releases. Can't believe there hasn't been a Star Fox themed Mii Drop yet. That seems like a no brainer lol.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
There's a serious lack of Nintendo stuffage for Nintendo fans and you can only link it up to people that are already friends on FaceBook/Twitter (I know you can add "friends" to these, but it would have been better to make it open to everyone that uses the app - random people visit). If people are friends on FB/Twitter already, they can already engage and do much more together if they wish to.
The mini games (Mii Drop) are all pretty dull and offer very little incentive to play other than to gain clothes and accessories that may or may not be rubbish. The sweets really are pointless - who really cares about hidden answers? You either tell me an answer or you don't. I'm not going to bribe you to give me an answer.
There are too many differing currency units - sweets, platinum, silver, gold coind (which are really unbalanced in how you earn them) that really mean nothing to anyone that isn't registered with MyNintendo. And even then could be reduced to just platinum and gold. There are no incentives to buy non-digital purchases (yet?) either. Why would I spend more on a digital purchase than I could on a retail purchase with packaging and (perhaps) bonus items etc.
The bugs, crashes and delays all deter casuals too. I've had to quit the app on numerous occasions due to bugs.
So all in all, I'm really not surprised that Miitomo is going down the pan faster than last nights curry.
Has anyone else turned on the app before to find their Mii in another friend's room? When that happens, it plays quiet, soft music that reminds me of nighttime in Animal Crossing. It's quite relaxing! XD
I also like how each Mii personality has different music. It makes friends visiting more unique and fun!
@Blue_Blur, I didn't notice that the music was different! I noticed that there's a sort of (awesome) salsa music that plays when my friends visit my place. Nice touch.
I have to say — as per usual with Nintendo — it's the details here that really make this more enjoyable for me. The Miis respond with a surprising amount of accuracy to the things you type (and are triggered, seemingly, by specific words) and I'm having a lot of fun seeing what all of my friends' rooms look (and sound) like. I've also noticed that their personality profiles are all strangely on-point.
Yep, seems like less people are starting to use the app now, I still use it daily just to get the My Nintendo coins, close to reaching max levels (Max is level 20) however so still trying to finish that.
