Seriously though, why do so many Yoshi games have s*** OSTs? It feels like an unwritten rule that they're not allowed to be good. The guy who worked on Woolly World got fired afterwards, probably because he broke the rule lmao

correct me if needed but i don't think anything is really going on next week, so i guess we can kinda all go for our default guesses? i've never given a specific list but it's mostly kirby, and probably also super metroid solely because it's baffling it's not on here yet

Yeah I'm mostly going with defaults too (Super Metroid, Majora's Mask), with one NSO-tied guess (Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness).

I should point out that the last five releases were all OSTs that I cared about (to some degree), which is definitely a record*. I have no doubt the streak will be broken soon, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's by something really dumb too lol

*EDIT: Just scrolled through a chronological list of releases... it turns out that I've previously never had more than two releases that I care about back-to-back. Lmao

LM2 is about the anniversary (it released on March 20th 2013 in Japan) meanwhile the other 2 are about pairing new info with a related Nintendo Music release. It has been almost a year since we last got info about Duskbloods (creator's voice on April 4th 2025) and Rhythm Heaven Groove (general Direct on March 27th 2025).

Super Princess Peach

My guesses this week are Majora’s mask, super Metroid, or Twilight Princess.

Bit of a shot in the dark this week but I think it'll be something relatively small.

OG Pikmin, OG Star Fox or Tropical Freeze. Stabbing in the dark more than usual so going for some mascot franchises who haven't had a music drop for awhile.

I realized that I accidentally wrote down Pokemon Colosseum. I meant for that guess to be for Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness

bracing for this to be pokemon xd and for me to not care, though, to be fair, if it is that, it likely won't drop tonight.
