A feel like it's a little soon for Wind Waker after Skyward Sword a couple of weeks ago.
I can see it being DKC3 to be honest but would be delighted to see a 3DS game finally make the cut!
Predicting we get DKC 3 tomorrow, then Wind Waker some time in January.
Surely we are due some 3ds representation soon?
I'd love it to be one of the Fire Emblems but suspect they will do something left field like the Streetpass games or Tomodachi Life first.
@AJWolfTill I mean, if they wanted to, they could go Donkey Kong crazy next week by having DKC3 and then DKC Returns HD releasing on Thursday (the game not the soundtrack although I wouldn't put it past them to chuck it on Nintendo Music in the near future)
But yeah we'll definitely see one or the other tomorrow I think but beyond that... I'd really like to see ARMS make its way on there. It's an incredibly strong soundtrack from the Mario Kart team that deserves a place on the app!
Could we also get some 3DS and (proper) Wii U representation on here pleeeease??
I think the first 3DS addition will be stuff like eshop music with them adding the Wii U equivalent at the same time, so basically the 3DS/Wii U equivalent of the "Wii Channels" category.
Even in the turbulent Switch 2 storm, there's always time for a little Nintendo Music prediction!
Ok, surely it has to be Wind Waker this time. XD
It would be cool if we got a trailer in the near future of soundtracks that are 'coming soon'
...ARMS is all I ask!!
My prediction is Metroid Fusion. It's been awhile since we last got a GBA game and disc 1 of the CD soundtrack (Metroid Prime) was added to Nintendo Music at launch. Disc 2 of the CD soundtrack is Metroid Fusion.
I don't think it'll be something confirmed (if any is left idk it's been a while) Maybe a 3ds game like Kirby planet robobot? or some NES game, we haven't had anything from there since launch
@Novamii I love that OST as well, we don’t have much 3DS representation so that’d be awesome to get. Sadly I haven’t played the game and it’s getting pretty expensive, hopefully we get a port someday for Switch!
@Zaczumba
They added tiles for the Switch version of Skyward Sword and Metroid Prime, as well as the Wii U version of BotW and Mario Kart 8 after the fact.
They haven't done this for the n64 to 3ds games (Lylat Wars and Ocarina) though so maybe they are only doing it when there is a Switch version?
To my knowledge the only difference is the extra song for the port version credits.
@AJWolfTill Not quite, Skyward Sword and Metroid Prime's music wasn't changed enough to make them different from the original, they may sound better then the original, but it wasn't changed
Ocarina of time (I don't know about Lylat Wars) was changed in terms of instrumentation, so it's fair to assume Nintendo is going to release them later as a separate playlist
