@Nicolai: I thought so too, but the Basic model is only discontinued in Japan as far as I'm aware. Nevertheless, this rumour sounds too good to be true.
I don't think they're selling it anywhere else, either. I'm having trouble finding articles on it, because it kinda went out without a fanfare, but here's one about how top American retailers stopped supplying it. Best Buy isn't selling it, and Gamestop is only selling a 8gb Wii U Skylanders bundle.
Lmao at the usual "Omg guys look at my totally legit leak of what's in the direct". You'd think these people would learn that most of their lists are too good to be true. If you wanted to fool more people, you have to have at most one pretty good announcement with a bunch of "meh whatever" type things surrounding it, as is usual with most Directs.

I appreciate your guys' enthusiasm, but after the maintenance has turned out to be nothing, it's surprising that people would get even more excited, haha. Hope you guys are right, though!

LOL... I read that "leak," and I can only say that even if it's fake (luckily we might not the validity by tomorrow), it seems very believable. I'm still hoping for a Wednesday Direct, but at the same time *I'm not holding my breath. I just want to look at my Facebook feed tomorrow and be greeted with the news that a Direct is confirmed for Wednesday.
