For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
@SamuraiShyGuy - I love COD but I also love Mario,Zelda,Metroid,MHT and a ton of other different kinda games. Just because someone likes COD or FPS shooters doesn't mean that is all they play.
@rachelthehedgehog - The original Legend of Zelda is and always will be my favorite but I'm bias since I grew up with it. It was the first game I can remember playing that I felt like I was exploring a world and I got to chose what I did next not the game choosing for me.
I have played threw it a million times and I still get excited and feel like a kid again when I start a new game and grab that wooden sword.

As for your other points, that just depends on what kind of game you like.
Yeah, that's my point. Ocarina of Time did away with the things that made the earlier games so special in order to appeal to a much broader audience. That's why it's great for newcomers to the series.
Plus the difficulty will be weird. You either have to make every dungeon easy or make the dungeons gradually get harder. In the latter case, you will still need to beat the easier dungeons first.
None of that was a problem for the first game in the series. You can have an overworld to explore freely without mixing up the order of the dungeons.
They're both pretty big idiots. So are you for arguing over whether a video game character is intelligent or not... And so am I for responding to you.

It's a little unfair to compare these two completely different series, but as far as good, honest fun you can't go wrong with Mario. If you want a big adventure with plenty of challenge then Zelda is best. Personally, I would say Mario. Business-wise, it would be Mario with all the millions more he sells. Content-wise it would be Zelda with all the collectables and exploration. Zelda's also best for story. They're both good in their own ways.
It's totally fair. Zelda wins by a longshot!

@NintyFan That's like saying cheese is better than wine, because it's more cheesy. Although, I'm going to be a hypocrite and agree with you. Zelda is better for an absorbing challenge with an engaging story, but Mario presents more outright fun. Personally, I prefer the game I'm most in the mood for: either brooding (Zelda) or mad (Mario).
Zelda. Way better and most of the time harder than Mario games. Mario games are nowadays way too simple.. And Zelda has big stories... and yeah, the rest is evident.
Also: Twilight Princess is better than Ocarina of Time.

I would say I like Mario more if I want something with more whimsy, but if I want something with a story I actually care about, it's all about Zelda.
