@SliverBaretta What do you mean? this is definitely ON topic http://brawlinthefamily.keenspot.com/wordpress/wp-content/upl... http://brawlinthefamily.keenspot.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/SunParties.jpg MR. FLOWER ROCKS! now for serious Zelda vs. Mario discussion: Mario is a doo doo head and Zelda is awesome! Not really, I actually love Mario games, but I do think Zelda games are a little better
hmmmm.... Well Zelda has more options when it comes to Game-play (this is compared to only the canon Mario titles of course) but both Zelda and Mario franchises have there good and bad parts...
But, I think I'm gonna go with Mario (on the account that I'm playing Mario games at the moment )

Legend of Zelda because it requires more brain power.
That is so funny. Not!
What's a matter with liking puzzles in videogames? LOZ games have more puzzles then Mario games, and I enjoy them.
Your implying Mario is for idiots and it takes more brain power to solve Zelda's puzzles. To be honest I grew up with Mario in my hands and I've been playing Ocarina of Time lately. My point? I find it harder to find secrets and certain goals within Mario that in does to solve the puzzles in Ocarina of Time. And this is no opinion.

Come on, are you serious? Mario never disappears, there is always some kind of Mario game coming out. He's always making a da*n appearance everywhere you look. IMO I'd rather see more Zelda than Mario anytime anyways.

I would rather wait ten years to see The Legend of Zelda fully return to its roots than be flooded with new games that don't move the series in that direction. Luckily, it doesn't look like either of those will happen.
Mario:a short plumber who goes around killing turtles(koopas) using fireballs he got from a flower. Link: a Hylian who kills land octopi(octorocks) with a legendary sword he wields in his left hand. ....I think the choice is clear
For me, I'd say it would be Mario, because that's who I grew up with. I played Ocarina once about 4 years ago, and that was the first time I played a Zelda game, believe it or not. The first one I owned wasn't until my cousin gave me both of the DS games last year, and I still have only beat the first dungeon in either. However, last month I bought Ocarina on the VC, and I am loving it! I don't see why previous posters did not like the game. While I may not have played them, I have seen my fair share of footage for the older games (specifically A Link to the Past) and while I can see why one might like that one more, and I will definately be getting it, I don't see how that means they have to hate Ocarina of Time. I actually think, from what I've seen, that Zelda went through a relatively seamless transition into 3D. Of course some elements are going to be lost, it's a whole other plane that's being added into the game, and they can't just leave it alone, it wouldn't work. But I think Ocarina, especially at the time, represented what Zelda games would be like if they were in 3D.
Although to the comment about Hyrule Field being a hub or not, it definately feels like a hub to me.

When I was a kid, I loved Ocarina of Time. It was the first Zelda game I ever played, and it was unlike anything I had ever seen. I've played the rest of the series since then. Ocarina of Time doesn't have what made the first few games special. Instead, it was designed to appeal to everyone. Back before I played OoT, I would have hated ALttP, which is now one of my favorite games. Ocarina of Time is a great game, quite possibly the best ever made. But it's not a good Zelda game.
