metroid prime trilogy and zero mission are my favorite

i hvent played metroid prime 3 yet but i want to but can you use ur classic controller pro with it
fusion is very underated but i see on nintendo life its not i love fusion its reallly fun

No. I'm pretty sure you can't. If you can that would be great but sadly no.

Either Super Metroid or Metroid Prime 1/3 depending on what mood I'm in, really.
One thing that's awesome about Metroid is that there hasn't been a single bad iteration in the series. Even Other M, as much as some disliked it, had tons of merits.

I've only played small parts of the metriod games. Only the 3d metriods have i played more then half of the game so i'll only judge those games.

Why is Metroid II so low on everyone's lists? It surpassed the original in every way possibly imaginable.

Better save system, better graphics (while it lacked color, the extra details more than make up for it), larger variety of bosses (more bosses as well), introduction of major series staples such as the Plasma Beam & Space Jump. Sure, it's more linear, but there's still plenty of labyrinths for explorers to dig into, making it both good for veterans and new fans (even if you disagree that the more linear path is better, all the other advantages sure as heck outweigh that).

As with most games, the 2D classics are my favorite. Favorite is Super Metroid! Fusion would be number two. We're in dire need of another 2D Metroid.

Baby metroid is cute and awesome!

Except replay value, something you did not mention in Metroid II's favor, and a trait to an experience that is more important than everything that you DID list is Metroid II's favor. Passwords like Narpas Sword and the game's new game+ feature makes it happen. I'm a bit in awe that you pulled an "introduced major series' staples" comment as a point that puts Metroid II over Metroid. That's a joke.

The only Metroid game I've ever played is Metroid Prime. One of the best fps games out there imo.
