Hopefully I'll end up getting at least one of those.
I'm REALLY struggling trying to decide which tablet to get my wife though. She's mentioned "iPad" and I've already ordered a 32gb WiFi, but the lack of an SD card slot, no HDMI out, and it's price tag have sorta left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm also trying hard not to let my Anti-Apple viewpoint play a part too. The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime looks pretty nifty but it's been delayed until the last minute before Christmas and I'm not sure that I will be able to find one.
What are the main uses going to be. The Transformer is a beast but depending on what she want's an ipad may be better.
The problem is that I don't think she really knows so I'm having to do a little bit of educated guessing. Really, I think she just wants to be trendy (read: lemming) which would really lead me towards the iPad. Ultimately, no matter which way I go, there is the possibility that it may end up at the bottom of the box-of-toys so I also have to think about what I may want as well since I'll be the one that ultimately dusts it off and gets the use out of it.

Then go with the Ipad. Unless you plan to get the keyboard dock and use it as a productivity device the Ipad is the best 10inch tablet around.
