I'm not that big a fan of his either, but his promos are those of greatness (also when he gets/gives Flair chops (woooo)). I haven't saw it yet, will look it up when I get home from work in a couple hours though.

TNA this past week felt more like a showcase of look who we got to appear on air to me. Sure it was good to see some of these old timers I watched in the 80s and I do believe they can help with the backstage and behind the scenes business. I just really felt like hey its WCW all over again. Original plans were to air once a quarter on Mondays but Hogan is pushing hard to get them to move to Monday nights.

I think moving to Monday nights will help them out. There's no way that it can be a bad thing for wrestling fans, surely they can keep a solid 1 - 1.1 like they are now on Thursdays while gaining more viewers from word of mouth. WWE has been horrible lately and watching TNA this past Monday was a breath of fresh air for me, even though there were a lot of older guys heh

I just hope Scott Hall stays out of the ring. TNA has enough young talent to build, they do not need guys like Hall to be wrasslin. I was fairly surprised to see Jeff Hardy. I do not like the guy but he is a name and he will fetch them some ratings. Actually I should say I respect his work but not him as a person. I mainly tune in for AJ Styles, Abyss, for some reason I think Matt Morgan has a lot of talent, Sting when he is there ( 2nd favorite wrestler of all time ) and Beer Money cracks me up quite a bit. I wished Frank Kazarian would come back as Kaz and drop the Suicide moniker. He has a lot of raw talent and I think the Suicide character tarnishes that. I also wish Daniels would go back to Curry Man ! The one thing that makes me watch Impact every week though is not everyone is a '' pretty boy type '' that McMahon is obsessed with nowdays.

As I said when I was DHD I want Jericho vs. Undertaker = Wrestlemania as I do not care what type of match.

Scott Hall did look horrible, it was kinda sad. But I marked out when he first talked to Hogan. Hey Yo! Say hello to the bad guy!

I've heard rumors that Matt Hardy and Hurricane asked for their releases from WWE, and I guess we'll see in time if that was true. They were jobbed out in their last matches too (I think :S).

I don't like Suicide, that gimmick should have died as fast as the game made it to the bargain rack. I watch for AJ Styles, Mick Foley, Angle and Daniels. I didn't like the Curry Man stuff lol. I agree about them not being pretty boys. I think they could make AJ a lot more popular though and get people to like him. He's the reason I started watching TNA.

Didn't know that was you lol. I would love to see that as well. Jericho is my hero I'd rather not see a repeat of WM25 and the last time I watched Raw that's the way it looked.

I started watching TNA on the internet when it was streaming through the Real Player. I forgot about good old Mick. Foley is Good was one of the greatest books I ever read. I think he made the right decision to go to TNA. I agree AJ is still young and he is a guy that could be the face of the company for a lot of years.

Did you see that skit on Raw in front of the building where Jericho and Big Show's llines came off like they were a couple. Funny stuff. I have always liked Matt Hardy and I think he is underutilized in the WWE. I think he is great mid card talent and the fans do chant Hardy and it makes me wonder sometimes if the powers that be ever hear them chants. Jericho is exceptional talent and his longevity without serious injuries really speaks volumes of the guy. I eat it up everytime he is on the mic. Sorry to carry on like a nut but do you remember Ralphus ? haha

I started to watch wrestling around 1997-2000, in the Attitude Era/Monday Night Wars. I watched mostly WWE programming and I took a hiatus until 2005 when RVD was challenging John Cena for the WWE Championship with the Money in the Bank briefcase. I've pretty much been watching wrestling for most my life and I even have a YouTube channel discussing it.

With TNA's recent announcement of their upcoming move to Monday nights, kicking off a Second Monday Night War, i thought it'd be a good time to bump this thread ...

So what do people think of the move? Obviously it will be quite some time before TNA would even have a shot at beating RAW in the ratings (if ever) -- though that's much the same situation as it was when WCW Nitro debuted. But TNA knows this, so they are realistic for now. At any rate, this should re-invigorate the business, while giving the wrestlers a real alternative to working for Vince. Vinnie Mac will publically play it cool when asked about "the competition" or what not, but you can bet that we'll start to see some stronger WWE shows and better PPV main events as the months continue.

Meanwhile, we also had the debut of WWE NXT this week. I thought it was interesting, and i like that Jericho, Punk and Regal are all "mentors" on the show, but i don't understand what the point is. It's clearly a worked show, as opposed to the Tough Enough series, so it will be interesting to see how it develops. It already has a huge strike against it by having Cole, even if they're trying to give him an "edge" by blathering out fed-lines about how he doesn't like "internet fans" and the "dirt sheets". So f'n stupid. The highlight of the whole show for me was Punk's promo that started out with him shaking his his head in confusion and annoyance and saying "I have no idea what i'm doing here."

I actually hope it will help. Asking for something like the WCW-WWF wars might be asking a bit much, but who knows?

I'm glad that another Monday Night War is here. I loved the old RAW-Nitro days before WCW went bankrupt and put out lame storylines and such.

As for WWE NXT, it has some potential and well, it's great to see these young rookies in action.

After reading the first three chapters of Mick Foley's Have a Nice Day: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks I have to say it's an absolute must have for any wrestling/mick foley fan. It's made me fall in love with the guy all over again.

I cannot believe this mystery GM crap is still going on.

LOL regarding the GM thing. I loved how Jericho kept harrassing Cole about it on RAW tonight. =D I think they're gearing up towards a reveal, though (in other words, they've finally decided who it should be -- and it'll probably be a let down).

And FINALLY a Jericho DVD set! Instabuy!!! Definitely in my top 5 fave wrestlers of all time, and probably my fave current active wrestler.

Truthfully I havent watched any WWE since Wrestlmania. I just lost interest in the WWE it seems to me that John Cena is always the Champ. Yeah maybe someone else has it for a month or so but than in the end Cena gets it again.

And from what I have seen of this new Nexus group is a complete joke. The storyline that they got these Nexus guys going around and beating up the old veterens makes the veterens look like fools. Those guys could easily wipe the ring with these new guys.

WWE is going down fast they lost Batista they lost Mr Kennedy they lost Jeff Hardy. WWE complete messed up the ECW name. WWE needs to get their act together or they wont be around if TNA gets much bigger.

Been on here for like 6 months and just discovered this thread. Since i`m here though, I`ll put my 2 cents in. Ric Flair, regardless of his age, is and always will be one of my favorites. Just watch some of those hour long matches with Ricky Steamboat, Terry Funk and Sting along with Blackjack Mulligan. I like those guys too, btw. As for Nexus, Uh, yeah whatever. I`m to the point where i wanna reach through the screen and bitch slap Cole. He does his job of being an @$$ a little too well. lol Jericho`s pretty cool, but isnt his contract with WWE almost at an end? He`s one of the best heels they have on there at the moment. TNA would be alot better without Russo. I`m not too fond of Hogan or Bichoff either and some of those storylines are way too out there, like Abyss`s endless rants about "Them/They" I`m curious as to who else they could possibly add, seeing as there`s already Fortune, Evo2, TNA, and Hall/Sting: aka whats left of the [nWo]. Wish they`d turn Ken Anderson back into a heel. He`s one of my favorites, too. I loved the fued between him and the Pope when he first came there. His and Angle`s fued was decent too.

P.S. Sorry about the longwinded reply.

FINALLY, THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO ANAHEIM!

Hmm, what did i think about The Rock's return to RAW?

The Rock says
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!

Seriously though, that was f'n awesome. Loved the way he took it to both Cole and Cena. And glad they stopped censoring him saying "ass" after the first one, since they probably realized how stupid it made them look, TV-PG or no.

The Rock was saying a lot of the bad words during the 10/11 hour meaning the FCC can't say a word once that hour hits because its past kids bed time. Its a strange rule.
