Topic: Whats your Avatar?

Am I the only one who couldn't care less about pokemon?

@mariofanatic: no. i don't really care about it which is why i said i doubt i'll get it. but i sunk a lot of hours and late nights into Yellow and Crystal when i was young, so i'm just enjoying the nostalgia along with everybody else.

I'm trying to find a sprite of a Pokémon trainer on a bike (similar to my current avatar), but I'm having no luck at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, I think each Pokemon game is just is too repetitive and only own Pearl. I just don't really find much fun in collecting creatures that you probably won't ever use in the main game.

But Pokemon Gold/Silver was pretty good.

I found a web page that has what I want on it! Only problem is, I don't have the tech/know-how to extract the small portion of what I need from the rest and animate it. If someone here would be so kind (and a HUGE thanks if you do), could you please extract the two pictures of the guy riding the bike towards the right and make a simple little gif similar to my current avatar?

I've got an adorable picture of Grounder from the old Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon. He's in a nurses garb and is holding a pair of "butt-pliers".

Thought I would join the animated GIF bandwagon, it's Mario and Luigi dancing (from Superstar Saga).

@bro2dragons: Amusing, but not what I'm looking for. Did you see my post with the link to the still Pokémon sprites? I know you can crop pictures; no idea if you're any good with GIFs. I'd take just a well-sized single frame well-sized for the avatar block on NLife, if that's all I could get, too. I just have a weirdly strong desire to jump on the Pokémon bandwagon without straying too far from my current avatar so it leaves a recognizable correlation (like how yours are always pictures of dragons...I knew it was you seeing Dragonite before I even read your name).

@Stuffy: yeah, i know, just having a little fun. if i could help you i would, but i'm not that good. i have the tools to do so, but i wouldn't even begin to know how to use them. i could take the pic and blow it up for you to avatar size, but there are people (zez and pixelman spring to mind) who could animate it for you. try asking in the Pixel Art thread. and yeah, i like to have a common theme in my avatars, so people can always recognize me.

Even the blown up picture from the set would work, at least temporarily. That said, I'll seek out the thread you mentioned and ask there for the animation. Thanks for the suggestion.
