@Kanbei VF 2 was my first arcade game and started this fighting game addiction of mine. To be honest I’m a purist (fighting games are the only time I am a snob about gaming. Lol) and don’t care at all about story in fighting games. I know that’s frowned on now but aside from cool cutscenes I don’t see the point myself lol. That being said I have toned down a bit. I went through a phase where the only thing I’d play were fighting games but my backlog is too big for that now. I just try to keep from getting rusty with Vanessa (lol) and lurk on shoryuken and VFDC when I can.

I like these fighting games.

Animal Boxing NDS

I really like the Chibi looking of Anthromorphic animals and human as Boxer. 😀
Too bad, the game itself lack of cool features that supposed to be inside the game. 😑

K-1 Pocket Grand Prix 1 & 2 GBA
Untitled

I really like the Chibi looking of K-1 fighters with gameplay much like Street Fighter. 😄

ARMS

I have fallen in love with ARMS since the first time i saw the direct on 12 January 2017. 😍
Love at the first sight because that was an unique "Boxing" game i have waited for. 😘

Street Fighter II, III 3rd Strike and Alpha series + Pocket Fighter
My childhood and teenhood fighting games. 🤩
I got inspired a lot from Street Fighter series for my Chibi Boxers and Avian Kickboxers. 😉
Pocket Fighter was basically the goofy version of fighting game. 😂

Street fighter 2, Tekken 3, soul calibur 2 and all the mortal Kombats/injustice games I've played. Dragonball fighterz, MVC 3 ultimate are good shouts and I think Power rangers Battle for the grid deserves a mention too!

See ya!

Big fan of Garou: Mark of The Wolves. The 2D graphics look amazing for a Neo Geo title. The cast of characters is one of my favorites. (Older Terry!)
I admit I don't know about the technical stuff, but I played this one a lot.

If you like Mark of the Wolves you should check out Street Fighter 3rd Strike, it has a similar vibe. Although I think Mark of the Wolves has the better soundtrack.

People sleep way too much on ARMS. I think its partly because the gameplay does take some getting used to. But the gameplay of that game is just so unique and well designed. ARMS is what I'd honestly consider to be the first truly 3D fighter.

Like SoulCalibur is in 3D, yes, but all fighting still takes place in a locked 2D plane. You can never run out of that plane. ARMS makes full use of every single axis, and gives you complete freedom of movement in that space, including a very important jump mechanic.

Really hoping for an ARMS 2 with more single player content.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

I really really hope Boxing or Kickboxing games return on consoles.
I don't need super realistic graphics like Creed PS4. I just need Cartoonish 3D Kickboxing games that still appropriate for kids.

If ARMS 2 has Cardio Boxing mode or Normal Boxing mode, i will definitely buy the game.

I've been getting into the Guilty Gear games recently. I remember playing Guilty Gear XX on PS2, and really button mashing my way through it. I don't think I had any idea what a Roman cancel was back then.

I've downloaded Guilty Gear XX Accent Core on the Switch and have been really enjoying practicing combos. There's something about Guilty Gear XX that feels like the polar opposite of Mortal Kombat 11. It feels messy and slightly out of control, but in a good way.

I probably spend the most time with Smash but that's mostly because it has the most content and most active users. However Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat are in general my favourites even if I am guilty of missing out on a new entry every now and then but recently I've just fallen in love with Arms. Yes it's lacking in solo content but it instantly gave a roster with personality which is a hard thing to do, it makes use of it's environments (which not enough fighting games do) and there's little touches like the soundtrack which literally brings up a feeling of watching the FIFA World Cup, plus the gameplay is just really solid and fun.

Also I never really got into Tekken, not sure why.

Tough call, too many great fighting games series' out there to settle on just one. I have a lot of affinity toward the SamSho series, the setting and vibe of that series is the SNK company personified. King of Fighters did the company-wide-character-IP-roster-in-one-place shtick before Smash Bros. did. Soulcalibur had a really interesting single player campaign. Street Fighter II is the gold standard for the genre.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Street Fighter III: Third Strike
Tekken 3
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Killer Instinct

...would each have a place somewhere in my all-time favorite top 25...top 50 maybe.

It might be a bad fighting game, but I have to say, Super smash bros.....Jk, but really it has to be....Jump force, I wasn't really into fighting games, or anime, but the action I saw in jump force, made me lose it, I had to try it, and before then, I was watching DBZ then I when on to play fighter'z Tekken 7 (I have yet to learn that game yet) Ninja storm guilty gear, and much more. Wile I think its a bad game and kinda sucks, it started a thing for me, and improved my life.
