That Steel Batalion controller is awesome. I've always loved arcade joysticks more than gamepads.
I think Xbox has the right idea by keeping what was great about the Dreamcast while fixing what's wrong with the Playstation controller but I like how different Nintendo's Analog controllers are: N64, Gamecube, and Wiimote with Nunchuk.
Attaching and removing the Wiimote accessories is a pain but it's still my favorite controller right now.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
1. Gamecube controller 2. Wii Remote 3. 360 controller (Allthough I hate all things XBox, i have to admit the 360 DOES have a pretty comfortable controller....)
The Old Phat X-Box Controller. And The N64 Controller
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
I find it odd that the Kinect Steel Battalion won't even use a controller...
I KNOW!! If they can pull that off it may be the game to tempt me to buy Kinect. It can't be as good as the original controller though.
My top three 'normal' pads are _ 1.Gamecube 2.XBox 360 3.SNES
How anyone can say the dualshock is beyond me.Its absolute bobbins.I hate em'!! Thats not a fanboy talking BTW,I have owned and enjoyed playstations, buy my god the sticks on those things!!.......
The Gamecube controller is the most comfortable to me. The button layout is also pretty easy to figure out when you're mashing buttons because the A and B button are different sizes. And the different colors really help when you have in-game tutorials telling you which button does what.
I also like the Wii remote because it's wireless and since it's in two pieces it's easy to free up your lap (my cat likes to sit on my lap when I play videogames, so we're both much more comfortable this way). But some of the buttons are kind of hard to reach, which can make it a bit uncomfortable.
@gamesake, that's a tricky question. It works perfectly with some games, decently with some, and not at all with others.
For example: I can (and do) use the FightStick whenever I'm playing Muramasa for a more "arcadey" feel. But at the same time (for no apparent reason), whenever I use it with A Boy and His Blob, it works perfectly, except I can't select all of the jellybeans with it. It makes absolutely no sense.
I guess what I'm saying is that it's mostly a trial and error kind of thing. My local Best Buy had the FightSticks on clearance for $30 though, so it might be worth the investment to just pick one up!

I co-host a podcast about professional wrestling titled Blind Tag and I write/draw a daily webcomic about a werewolf in high school named Duane.
The N64 controller is actually one of the worst imo.
