@PloysMaw yea they are horror visual novels with some really morbid and gory artstyle, the story is really decent too with some fun detective mechanics on the side. If you're into these kind of games i definitely recommend it. As for Danganronpa i hope they port Ultimate Despair Girls on the switch too, but still there's so much to play as it is xD

Might give it a pass then, I'm not the biggest fan of horror in general. The closest I'll get is the Death End games and Mary Skelter.

@JustMonika Looks like I have my April anime all lined up.
Megumin Wednesdays
Dr. Stone Thursdays
And Tonikawa Friday.
I think it's cool that 3 anime I wanna watch are coming out in in a consecutive order. Megumin comes out April 5th, Dr. Stone comes out April 6th, and Tonikawa comes out April 7th. I'm especially excited for Tonikwa and Megumin. Tonikawa's been my favorite anime evr sicne my brother showed it to me when I was 11, and I've read all the manga and keep up with new chapter releases. I even have a Tsukasa figure. And I'm excited for Megumin because, well, Megumin is best girl, so excited she's getting her own spinoff. So, what's your April gonna consist of? Will you be having Tonikawa Fridays and Megumin Wednesdays? If you watch Dr. Stone, will you be having Dr. Stone Thursdays? I know your April will probably consist of a lot more anime than my April. I have to deal with school and don't have time for a lot of anime. Also, I'll be watching Tonikawa, Megumin, and Dr. Stone come out with my brother.

@JustMonika Nice. I know, like, none of those, but it's still cool. I'm so excited for Demon Slayer, I read the manga and loved season 1-2 and the movie. Ima have to watch it on my living room TV though because my brother hasn't seen more than season 1 so I can't watch it with him.

@JustMonika I'll have to check it out. Also, Megumin Dr. STone and Tonikawa were great. Unfortunately, Demon Slayer 3 will not be airing on anything but Crunchyroll and I don't feel like paying for Crunchyroll premium just to watch Demon Slayer. I've read the manga, so I know the story, I just wanted to see the animation. On a side note, I cleaned out out shed so I could afford to go to the movise with my brother to see Suzume in a few days.

It seems this game flew under the radar for me. I'm always intrigued by VN's related with mystery supernatural elements. So far no plans for physical release in the west, but still that e-shop price is quite low. Might throw some of my gold points at it and see how it turns out.

Oshi no Ko is absolutely GOATED! Highest rated anime on MAL. So that's my highest recommendation of the year.

Hey guys!
I've never read a visual novel on Switch. But I've recently played The Forgotten City and Disco Elysium, which are very text-heavy / story based games, so I thought, maybe there are some visual novels I would like. How interactive are visual novels?

On another note: I like anime / manga that has a deeper philosophical / spiritual meaning, like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, or To Your Eternity.

Do you think there are some visual novels I would enjoy?
Thanks!

@JustMonika I was gonna read it eventually. Also, is it weird that I don't eve rwanna get rid of my manga? Like, it's taking up space and I've read it all, but I treasure it. I don't even have that much manga, I only have 13 volumes of manga I think, but when you have a tiny room it starts to take up space.

@dionysos283 Then I got some good recommendations for you! Remember though to always look up a route guide to save time. I would start with Island because it changed my life. It'll blow your mind six ways from Sunday. It's from the OG legends at Frontwing who are responsible for the Grisaia series and Remake our Life. So I'm definitely starting you off with the best there is. Here's the eShop listing but if you prefer physical then you can find it on eBay as well. It's imported from Asia but includes subtitles and since Switch is region free It'll run.

@JustMonika So I went to the theatre with my brother yesterday and saw Suzume. I loved it so much. It was so sad, but it was amazing. Also, it was being played late (9:05 PM) so the people selling the tickets had to see my brother's ID because children aren't allowed in there without an adult after a certain time. My brother is 20 though, so he had a proper ID and stuff. And because it was late, no one else was there. Like, no even joking, we had to whole theatre to ourselves. While we were watching commercials my brother said "Mate, there'sn no one here, what D rated movie did you drag me to" and on the screen where you choose your seats it said two peope were sitting next to us, and they never showed up, and I told my brother this and he said "They probably read a review and decided not to come" which was funny. We both knew it was gonna be a good movie because it's by the same people who made Your Name, but it was still funny to joke about it. And because no one was there, we got to talk, and so we talked the whole movie. I was able to make my joke about Monsters Inc cause no one was there. But yeah, loved the movie. At the beggining I was laughing a lot, but near the end I almost cried several times. All my friends know I'm a big crybaby, not even just about movies, just in general I'm a crybaby, so it doesn't surprise me or my friends that I almost cried several times. And me and my brother were discussing the movie in the car, and my mom had to drive us because my mom won't let him drive since he fainted a motnh or so ago and had to go to the hospital, and until we figure out what's wrong with him he can't drive me anywhere, and while we were discussion my mom's like "Mate the heck kind of weir dmovie did y'all watch" and it was pretty funny. And when we got home I just went to bed, but didn't fall asleep till 4 AM because insomnia is exist. But yeah, I highly recommend Suzume, go hecking watch it. Also, it's my second anime movie I saw in theatres, first one being SAO: Scherso of The Deep Night, which was a few months ago. And you know a movie is good when I decide to pay 25 dollars for two adult tickets because according to the theatres a 13 year old is all grown up and needs an adult ticket.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko

Yes i watched in theaters last Tuesday and greatly enjoyed it. I was also the only person there but it was a Tuesday morning after all, lol. I hope you've watched the 90 minute premiere of Oshi no Ko. I've never seen an anime blow up like this one has. It's been breaking records since it's premiere. Definitely going to be Anime of the Year. Been waiting two years for this to be adapted so I'm thrilled at the reception it's getting.

I talked to the writer of School-Live just a few weeks ago. He was really nice and understood me because he's also an English translator, lol
