Hey, guys! Each day, I'll try to post reviews on various video games. They will range from recently released games to classic old school games. Please comment to let me know what you think of my reviews and feel free to comment your own reviews. Let's get started!

Day 01 - Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS)

Although it's been nearly twelve years since the original GameCube game, I'd say it was well worth the wait. The highly-anticipated 3DS sequel offers a ton of fun. The game has a surprisingly deep story. The plot of the game is that Professor E. Gadd, the paranormal scientist who assists you in the first game, has been studying a group of friendly ghosts in Evershade Valley. King Boo, the main antagonist, shatters the mystical Dark Moon that shines overhead into pieces, which causes the ghosts to turn evil and cause mayhem. You'll have to explore various mansions, each with their own unique environments, in order to obtain all the pieces of the Dark Moon and restore peace to Evershade Valley. You'll also encounter various ghosts, which can be defeated with your ever-reliable ghost-sucking vacuum, the Poltergust 5000. Use cash that you find within the mansions to purchase upgrades to your vacuum. Aside from Dark Moon's story mode, you can also tackle on the ScareScraper, a multiplayer mode in which players must work together to defeat all ghosts on each floor and reach the top of the tower. The ScareScraper can also be played online with players around the world via Nintendo Network. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon offers an endless amount of fun. The game is really humorous and at the same time, a little creepy. It also has a really good soundtrack. I highly recommend it to anyone.

10/10? Perfection is for the gods. 7/10 from me, I thought it was slightly disappointing. The game isn't as deep as I hoped it would be, and even though I like the humor, and liked most of the boss-fights, there's no denying it's a LOT of the same thing. Your writing is entertaining though. Maybe you could focus more on the game mechanics than on the story? give your oppinion about controls, style and difficulty, that could make your reviews a lot more infrmative!

I'm sorry @3DGamr but I'm not sure if users would be interested in this thread since NintendoLife themselves review Nintendo games. So you would technically be competing with the site reviewers themselves. While there isn't exactly any policies on posting user-reviews on the forums, don't be surprised if this thread gets locked. If it doesn't get locked, your reviews should offer something that NintendoLife's equivalent reviews don't. That way, you have better chances of gaining interest.

Also, since you're new here, you should introduce yourself in the Newbie Introductions Thread to make firm grounds with current users in the forums. Doing so might compel more users to check this thread out.

Good luck!

Wii_Win

6/10 for me.

Derp derp derpity derp.

TsunamiSensei

8/10. It still had that core gameplay, but it seemed too formatted for handheld play.

After further thinking, I decided to change my rating from 10 to 9 stars.

Yeah, I figured there would be a good chance this post gets locked. So far so good, though. I know the NintendoLife people already make reviews and this probably won't get many views, but still, this is something I really wanted to do. Thanks for the tips.

Yeah just to let you know that user reviews aren't allowed here I am afraid. If you want to do a review as Metallic Donkey suggested make a person blog on a blog site and put the to your review in your signature.
