One of the many reasons I'm excited for the new Zelda, is that it won't be as linear. It will take WW exploration to the next level.
That's not really unpopular.
Wrong thread. Whoops...
That's OK, Nobody is perfect.

The Wii U is the only current-gen console worth owning, thanks to the Gamepad and its high-quality exclusives. Anyone considering an XB1 or PS4 would be much better off with a good PC.

I know this is your opinion, but come on.
I'm not sure it's really an unpopular opinion; I feel exactly the same way. That's actually the same setup I have myself - a Wii U for its unique games and features, and my PC for everything else.
Yes, ignoring the PS4/Xbox One doesn't seem that uncommon a sentiment online (so long as you factor in the people who are just waiting). Most of the games that appeal to me on both consoles (namely indie games) can be nabbed via PC or last-gen hardware. If either one would start developing a library of Japanese games (ones I actually enjoy, preferably), I'd be inclined to make a purchase. I've had the money for a PS4 stowed away since before launch but need an actual reason to justify buying one.

It is funny how very few mention Nintendo games as exclusives for the Wii U.

Sony exclusives are just as high quality as Nintendo exclusives.
(Should I go hide in a nuclear bunker?)
Meh, preference really. I find Ratchet and Clank to be a fine game, I just don't enjoy it as much Mario or Zelda game.
Non linear story < linear story.
Hence, why haven't gone back to Ultima, and why I probably won't enjoy Elder Scrolls. I'd be to confused on what to do or how to do it.
IGN was right. Yoshi's New Island is better than Triple Deluxe which somehow has managed to lose everything that made me enjoy - Kirby's Adventure Wii (Return to Dreamland).

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.

Amen. In fact, I think I might prefer Sony exclusives to Nintendo.
You'll definitely need a nuclear bunker after saying that.
I suggest maybe two nuclear bunkers.

I think it's OK this think this (no nuclear bunker needed), but this is "unpopular gaming opinions". If you go to almost anywhere on the internet not only is this opinion popular, it's defended with legions of trolls and flamers. Very, very popular.
It seems weird saying it on a Nintendo fan site, but it' actually be much more "unpopular" to prefer Nintendo exclusives, which personally, I do. Not because of quality (Many of Sony's exclusive are very high quality as well) but because most of Sony's exclusives are leaning toward the $60-movie genre and less towards raw game-play fun.

The "Nintendo > Sony" opinion is guarded by just as many trolls and flamers. This is more of an unpopular opinion for this site, as it's a decent split everywhere else on the internet.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
Remasters are awesome and I wish we got more of them. Buying a PS3 right now is a great investment because of the huge pile of remasters and collections.
God of War Saga Collection
Infamous Collection
Ratchet and Clank Collection
Jak and Daxter Collection
The Sly Collection
Killzone Trilogy
Resistance Trilogy
The Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection
Prince of Persia Trilogy
Assassin's Creed: Ezio Trilogy
Mass Effect Trilogy
Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection
Far Cry Compilation
Devil May Cry Trilogy
Hitman Trilogy
Tomb Raider Trilogy
Bioshock 1 & 2
Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy
Ghost Recon Anthology
Tales of Symphonia Chronicles
Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster
And I'm pretty sure all of these except Metal Gear Solid are $20 each. Tons of content for a low price, and they take little effort on the part of the publishers. Nintendo should be doing this.
@Caviarmeths Agreed. Remasteres are a great way to experience games you've played or missed with updated graphics, which for some games make revisiting them espcially either. They don't take away from new Ames being made, if anything they help fund them and make them less risky. I say the more the better as long as studios that aren't there for new games work on them for the most part.

I think people are under the impression that all remasters are like Wind Waker HD, where it takes Nintendo's A-team 6 months of development to get to the shelves and retails almost at full price. The way Sony does it though is just a quick rendering in HD, package it together, and maybe include the DLC on disk. It's quick and dirty, and a great way to enjoy content that you may have missed when it first came out.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

In some cases it's good (like MGS or DMC, those are great), but in others these remasters suck hard, like Splinter Cell Trilogy. Constant framerate drops are not fun at all.
I have nothing against remasters. It is great when they pull a lot of effort and change this and that, like in WW HD, but to me something like Tomb Raider DE or Metro Redux (can't wait!) are enough. Problem with Nintendo however is that if they would made those HD ports, it would be exactly the same situation as with WW.
Very unpopular opinion : Nintendo is to blame for their lack of third party support. They thought people would just flock to their console and I see that as arrogant. I really hope they're learning a hard lesson right now.
It simply isn't possible to have a Nintendo console as a primary console unless you only play one game every few months. The wii u will always be a secondary console and probably it's successor as well.
