@HotGoomba
I have that game and have finished the storyline.
Ratchet & Clank 2016 is even looks better on PS5 with 60 fps support. It's like a new Ratchet & Clank game on PS5.
@HotGoomba yeah I thought the game was pretty damn good tbh, one of the best in the series even. I was shocked to find out years later that a lot of fans didn't like it.
@HotGoomba The game is just fine actually. Gameplay wise. I didn’t like it for the sole reasons that it feels like the video game is made for the movie and not the other way around.
And I really do wish we get some of ratchets old humor again one day. But that’s not really a complaint more or less a preference from me.

@Snatcher Yeah, the unfortunate reality for this game is that it's always gonna have the tainted image that the movie gave it.
Also I can't speak for the overall humor of the game series yet since I still haven't played the older games yet, but I plan on doing so soon since I beat Rift Apart days ago after months of procrastination. I'm also proud of myself for beating it on normal mode and not easy, so yeah. Since I have PlayStation Plus Premium until November, I might play one or two of the PlayStation 3 games. I might just emulate the PS2 games if I can (gasp).
Also Rift Apart's final boss is way better that the 2016 game, I don't think that's an unpopular opinion, it just had to be said.
@Arkham That's JGG's opinion, he can think Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the best open world game if he wants. This is the Unpopular Gaming Opinions forum anyways.
Also Super Mario Odyssey is my favorite since I haven't played much of BOTW yet lol.
You know what. It really annoys that people act like somehow no open world game can beat botw. It’s an amazing game, with an amazing open world. But come on it has flaws, and it’s all preference, different open world from different types of games tend to have that, different way of traveling exploring, battling.

There is no perfect open world game, only perfect open world games.
Also its funny because I think its pretty likely BOTW2 will be better, now that they've had a first game to learn from.
Apparently my opinion on what framerates are acceptable is a controversial one. I simply cannot play something under 60 (there are exceptions such as single screen games such as chess etc). I’ve been called elitist which is hilarious as I feel I am asking for a minimum requirement, same goes for resolution. I’m asking for 60fps at 1080p not 100-200 fps and 4k or whatever, that does not interest me tbh.
Controversial gaming opinion? Elden Ring is open world Dark Souls and people act like it's the best thing since sliced bread... it's not.
@Ironcore Honestly, I'm starting to go that way too, because of how spoiled I've been by the PlayStation consoles. The games run so well there that sometimes it's hard to play games on my Switch. I'm not repulsed by 30fps gameplay but I prefer 60.
@HotGoomba It is my opinion... that Xenoblade X is one of if not the best open world games! I'd give an honourable mention to Xenoblade 3 if the whole thing was interconnected but it's not. Some of the regions are crazy huge though, like the Cadensia region. It's like four or five times as big as Eryth Sea and that was already damn huge.
@Arkham L + ratio + botw is boring + @Snatcher's on the money. I love Breath of the Wild deeply but the open world came at the cost of things like enemy variety, story and bosses. I'd happily get a world half the size if it meant we got more enemies, better bosses and a story.
@TheJGG Yes! This is what I was trying to get across. Bigger isn’t always better.
I love the living heck out of elden ring. But it is really just open dark souls. I know every from software game gets hyped up but my goodness they really did overhype it, if your not someone who enjoys those types of games then yeah, elden ring is going to look like dk with a horse lol.
I still love it to death, still probably wouldn’t act like it’s the most perfect game ever tho, because it’s far from it, far from it.

I dunno whether this is truly an unpopular opinion, but in the light of the Saints Row release, I absolutely cannot stand the types that come out the woodwork that pretend like defending bad games is a personality trait.
"4 out of 10? Wrong, actually. I liked the game so it should be a 10/10. IGN said it had bugs, but I personally didn't have any bugs so there aren't any bugs. Maybe you should just make up your own mind and not listen to 'critics' about games."

Maybe that person really didn't experience any bugs? People have the right to disagree with opinions, even so-called "professional ones" by IGN.
And yes, defending bad games is a personality trait. It's called having a different opinion. Again, not sure what your point is here.
