For some reason, every time I get close to 100%ing super Mario 64 ds, I always lose it. The first time, the cartridge got split in half. So I bought another one. The next copy I lost and 2 years later, I bought a copy again(and about a month after I bought the new one, I found the old one, only to find the data was corrupted). The copy after that got stolen, and the copy after that I lent to my friend, and he lost it for a year. He found it in his pocket and It had gone through the wash many times, but miraculously still worked. And he deleted my saves so his would be fine. But now that I have mine back, I don't play it anymore because I'll lose it. So now I just stare at it. 0_0

@mieu-fire: I have never lost a Pokemon game before, but my cousin deleted the save off my original Red game after I ploughed 300 hours into it, before I had the opportunity to trade them up to Gold/Silver

One time, my local GameStop was having a Mario Kart DS tournament. I was alright, so I figured I would enter. I trained all week before, and the day before, my sister decided to enter too. She asked if she could borrow my copy, because she was gonna buy MKDS at the store right before the tournament. I said sure, and she trained with her friend. Mario Kart DS never came back from that house, and I lost an amazing game, a tournament by default, and a 25 dollar registration fee that day.
I don't think I've ever lost a game, which is fortunate.
I have noticed that LOTS of people have had games stolen before. In what circumstances? Was it when you were out somewhere, or from home break ins etc?
I'd never really heard that many stories of people having things stolen until I started frequenting video games websites.
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
I know lots of people who have had stuff stolen irl, but then again, we had some seriel cleptomaniacs when I was in school...A Pokemon game of mine was stolen once, too.
lost my legend of zelda twilight princess sometime last year and still havent found it. .-. last summer i felt like playing it but then i was like "....where is it..." >.> i tore apart my whole room twice, it was no where to be found. i tore apart the whole house when everyone was gone one day .... still no where to be found. i guess it just got tired of waiting to be played (i hadnt played it in like a year) and just left without telling me .-.

The worst time that I lost a game was back when I was in the kindergarten, and for some stupid reason, my brother brought some of our N64 games to school. So, it was already the end of the day, and me and my brother were waiting for my mom to pick us up. I don't remember why, but my brother told me to take care of the games, while he did something (I don't really remember what, this was around 12 years ago.). So, I decided that I should put the games under a rock, and I followed my brother (again, I don't remember why). When we got back, the games were gone. And, to this day, I haven't played the first Mario Party...

Around 20 years ago I gave a shot of my my Megadrive Moonwalker game to this little sh*t up the road.I went up to his house to get it back and he said he lost it.I was going mad at the door and his Mum over heard, coming out and asking what the problem was.I told her and she said "Is that bloody right? Here take this, that'll teach him" She gave me a case which contained a nearly new Gameboy containing Mario Golf (or a golf game with Mario in it?) and Tetris carts.Couldn't believe it,I hated Moonwalker too and I was going to France the next week by car for a holiday so it was a win win.

My friend once lost his DS Lite with a Pokemon game in it. Seems people would do nearly anything for one of those games back when everyone was playing Pokemon.

that reminds me of one time when my friend got his crystal version stolen, and one day I went to a video game place in my town and noticed a crystal version with a rip on the cover art, the same type of rip as my friends, I was a little suspicious so I bought it, and I started up the old file and.... it was the same name, same starter, same everything he had

Not sure if this counts, but I had a limited edition Zelda DS Lite. My brother's friend "borrowed" it for a weekend and "lost" it. His friend moved some time after.
