I have had horrible experiences lending games or allowing other people to play. I let one girl play my GBA copy of Super Mario World when I was really little. She erased my 100% file on it without asking when there were unstarted files below it. Later when I got my DS Phat I was getting mad from dieing countless times while trying to recomplete that file, I slammed the DS shut breaking one hinge. Also I lent a friend my copies of Sonic Mega Collection+, Sonic Riders, and Lego Indiana Jones their PS2 carved halos into each disk. They were all Black Label Editions (I was ahead of the crowd). Still haven't bought those games back.

Rarely lost a game, let alone when it's important. But one time, my Wii was having technical problems and every time I wanted to play Super Paper Mario, I would be sent back to the Home menu. So I settled for Wario Land: Shake It!, and it did the same thing. Just for a few select games. Reconnecting my Band Hero mic fixed that, but that got me panicked at first. Closest thing to losing a game when I wanted it most.
If the thread were changed to "The worst time you lost a gameboy" I'd probably win as I went through 8 gameboys (i lost them) in 4 months. Anyways, I lost my copy of Smash Bros 64 and cried for a few days.
One time, my local GameStop was having a Mario Kart DS tournament. I was alright, so I figured I would enter. I trained all week before, and the day before, my sister decided to enter too. She asked if she could borrow my copy, because she was gonna buy MKDS at the store right before the tournament. I said sure, and she trained with her friend. Mario Kart DS never came back from that house, and I lost an amazing game, a tournament by default, and a 25 dollar registration fee that day.

Ok you lost me how did you lose the tournament by default did you cheat or something?
I didn't have a copy to race with. For some reason my GameStop is opposed to local Download play
@mieu-fire: I have never lost a Pokemon game before, but my cousin deleted the save off my original Red game after I ploughed 300 hours into it, before I had the opportunity to trade them up to Gold/Silver

i never played blue or red but i played crystal the only olld pokemon game i played

that reminds me of one time when my friend got his crystal version stolen, and one day I went to a video game place in my town and noticed a crystal version with a rip on the cover art, the same type of rip as my friends, I was a little suspicious so I bought it, and I started up the old file and.... it was the same name, same starter, same everything he had
[/div]
Did you ever tell him that you found his game?
Yes and he let me have it

Ah I never took part in one of those competitions. I thought that they had stations set up to hold the contest.

I don't lose games but one time I rented a Pokemon Pearl in order to get more distributed Darkrai at ToysRUs, you know, transferring it to my own Diamond and delete the Pearl save, rinse and repeat. For some reason I had a brainfart and accidentally deleted my own Diamond save, 999 hours, completed with all 493 Pokemon, 5 stars on my Trainer Card. I screamed right in that store. I'm a man and was 23.

Ouch. That would probably make me stick the game in the back of the cupboard and not look at it for, oh, 10 or 15 years until I calmed down enough to play it again.
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
Gotta be today, when my system transfer between my 3DS and new XL failed and I lost ALL save info aside from the eShop account, camera, and Mii Plaza. I could spit molten lava out I'm so furious. And yeah, I posted this on a couple other threads too but I can't help it. I'm just SOOOOOO mad!
