@Link-Hero... On TV, I'm fine with it in real life... I'm really digging a hole here for myself lol

@Eagly and it's got like 4 seasons right. WB needs to cancel that lol.

Why when people are watching it?

This is such a weird generation. The quality of telly over the last 10-20 years has exploded so no longer are movies the prestige medium of writing, the level of production can rival even blockbusters, there's a saturation of shows where you can binge watch a different new critically acclaimed shows every day and you can watch something within seconds of hearing about it regardless of where you are in the world compared to when there was only a handful of channels yet people will watch any old rubbish and can't stop watching.

Thanks to Stephen Amell, I now have a false hope that Arrow is coming back. It won’t, but I can have hope. But I could see them having him show up in flash season nine.

@WoomyNNYes Is that the one when they are killing off The Doctor for the new guy or is that the one off with David Tennant coming back?

@jump It's Jodie Whittaker's regeneration episode. Though we don't actually know if the new actor (Ncuti Gatwa) will appear straight away, I think it's possible she'll briefly turn back into David Tennant for that special next year.

Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music

@Dogorilla Huh, I just assumed David Tennant would be like a lost episode type of deal especially with them bringing back Catherine Tate.

@jump I suppose that's possible, but when it was announced I think Russell T Davies was being all coy about how David Tennant and Catherine Tate coming back will fit into the story, whereas I imagine if it were a straightforward flashback episode they probably would have just said that. But we'll see, I'm sure there'll be some kind of timey-wimey shenanigans involved either way.

@Dogorilla I'm calling it now, it's gonna be a regeneration dream!

It seems risky to bring Tennant back now. They are coming off an unpopular Doctor (I thought she was great, but Zeus Cross the writing nosedived) and going into a Doctor people are already complaining about (he's pretty good Sex Education but out of everyone from that show the girl that plays Lily screams Doctor Who-ish) so sandwich in between the two is arguably the most popular Doctor who people will have a fresh reminder about when watching the next one.

@jump @Dogorilla I see google confirms that this is jodie's last episode. SO.... that leads me to a question I've had for a while. Will we go back to Christmas day Who specials? I really miss the Christmas day special. It fit in so well with the Christmas holiday climax. I wasn't a fan of the new years time slot.

Regarding David Tennant coming back. News articles also confirm that Tennant was filming last June for a special to air "next year". Kind of surprised Tennant was filming so far in advance.

@jump Yeah, I suppose the idea is to bring people back on board who like Tennant but haven't watched in a while. Hopefully Ncuti will be good enough to continue that momentum (I haven't seen anything he's in but I've no doubt he'll be great).

@WoomyNNYes It's a shame Jodie didn't get any Christmas specials, it would have really suited her character.

OhMyGod, did anyone watch Rick & Morty's Night Family episode? (season 6, episode 4) I can't believe how that plot went. I won't say anymore, to avoid spoilers.

@Dogorilla You should check out Sex Education which he is great in. Just don't make the mistake I made of thinking it's tween melodrama as it's far more thoughtful and honest or American Pie type silliness as it's not that crass. I kinda find it sad that some teenagers won't be able to watch the show due to it's rating as the topics discussed are genuinely insightful and healthy, Jebus I've met people in their 20-40s who can learn something from it.

@WoomyNNYes Yeah, I knew that episode was gonna be different as the title normaly has Rick or Morty worked into the name but this one was didn’t. It reminded a lot of the movie Us, hopefully they can do more horror style stories in the future as this worked so well. The scene with the dinner plate is fantastic!

Rick & Morty has been smashing it this season, although I said that about the previous season but then that horrible sperm episode happened.

@jump I'm not sure if it's my kind of thing but I have heard a lot of good things, so maybe I'll give it a look some day. Just got so many things to watch nowadays!

@Eagly if you’re after superhero stuff then the Watchmen series is phenomenal. I’m shocked it turned out to be as good as it did as Watchmen should not work outside of a comic let alone an unnecessary sequel nobody wanted.

Probably not your thing if you’re after only cartoons and superheroes but The Wire and The Sopranos are two of the greatest shows ever created plus HBO did Westworld, I May Destroy, Lovecraft Country and Euphoria too which are all great shows.

@jump The Sopranos is on my bucket list of stuff to watch before 30.

@Kermit1 what’s stopping you from watching it now?

Personally I think bucket lists should be for loftier goals. I started one a few years ago and it was things like go to Oktoberfest in Munich but I would do that anyway so I saw no point continuing one.
