Topic: The NintendoLife VGM Tournament: Farewell

Darn, missed last round. That's what you get for stalling. Oh well, it wouldn't have affected the results anyway.

1)Xenoblade Chronicles
2)Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time

1. Fragile Dreams - Tough decision but I went with the track that teared me up.
2. Ocarina of Time - A fitting theme for the game that is still considered to be the best.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I will echo the above posts and say that Fragile Dreams has more emotion in its track than Xenoblade's.

One of the toughest decisions in the tournament. The title theme of Xenoblade Chronicles is amazing but not quite as much as the one from Fragile Dreams
2. Kirby's Return to Dreamland

Now things are really getting interesting.

Xenoblade's theme is wonderful, but I have to say this title theme is so emotional and intricate. I love it.

2. Kirby's Return to Dreamland
Alright. I know Ocarina of Time will win anyways (because it always does) but I'm just going to vote for not only my nomination but the clear underdog here. The Zelda title theme may be exceptional, but Kirby music really makes me happy, so there.

I always listen to this song twice whenever it needs to be posted, it's just that good.

2. Kirby's Return to Dreamland
I have nothing against Ocarina of Time's theme, but this is one happy and upbeat song and I enjoy every second of it.

Xenoblade. An absolutely masterfull opening. Although Fragile is quite excellent too.
Ocarina of Time for the other one.

Rhythm Thief made it farther in this tournament then I thought (hope it gets a sequel)

Xenoblade Chronicles wins 9-7
Ocarina of Time wins 11-4

This will be the last round before we move on to the Quarterfinals. All the songs are really great and i'm having a hard time choosing in every round. Here is a link to the current bracket

1. Mega Man 2 - I liked the Crimson Shroud theme mostly because it contains some parts of the battle theme which is definitely my fave in the game. Other than that though, MM2's iconic theme has the better composition.

2. Chrono Trigger - While I thought the Windwaker theme was fun and full of charm, I'm was more drawn to CT's epic theme that left a greater impact IMO.
