The Most Important Games of all Time - General Discussion Forum

I've thought about this question before: if you were going to tell someone about the history of video games, what games would need to be mentioned? Which games are so important that they marked a change or landmark in the history of gaming? Off the top of my head, I would say Pac Man, Galaxian, and Pong. What else could be called one of the most important games of all time?

I never compared either one of them but Modern Warfare did more in terms of perfection. Hence its reception.

But what did it do? You can't just say "People Liked Better" and leave the discussion at that. Lot's of people like Bioshock and there's nothing in the game that people would unanimously consider to be important in the grand scope of all video games. You should at least give some points as to why you think the mechanics in Modern Warfare fit your idea of perfect.

Agreed. Hence why I question the Banjo and Goldeneye games.
