But what did it do? You can't just say "People Liked Better" and leave the discussion at that. Lot's of people like Bioshock and there's nothing in the game that people would unanimously consider to be important in the grand scope of all video games. You should at least give some points as to why you think the mechanics in Modern Warfare fit your idea of perfect.

Agreed. Hence why I question the Banjo and Goldeneye games.
