Went back and played Mega Man 4 on the NES and wow, what a difference in controls.....Quick, fluid, zippity, tight with great jumping. Where as in the GB outings MM has floaty jumping and slower controls, combine this with the 3DS XL's tiny cramped B&A buttons makes the GB series a bit of a pain to play....I didn't realise the difference was so huge until i went back to the later NES sequels....

Yes, it's better than it's NES counterpart,

Well I have been in the beta for Playstation Now (Sony's game streaming app) and they have Mega Man 9 for $7.99 kinda tempted to pick it up and try it out.

Alright after doing betas, and alphas I am finally able to get back to Mega Man V. Final got past Uranus' stage and my god what an annoying stage. Those Egyptian Dog mini boss things and just the length of it. I hope the last two aren't as long. Managed to grab the gem from his stage and Pluto's as well.

@Waveboy Mmm, I have a feeling you have a big interest in Uranus, but I'm afraid, you can't choose him in the start. This game's structure is like the past GB games, where you must fight the first four sets of bosses before moving on to the second. And guess where Uranus lies in

Uranus shall be my first pick. I love robot masters based on stinky planets. Ogo can relate, what, with that ancient cluster of smelly moldy chester cheetos stuck in that massive belly button of his.

The recent release of the Game Boy titles on the eShop has stirred up my Mega Man appetite again. To satisfy my craving, I recently started Mega Man Revolution and it's pretty decent so far. The level design and music aren't quite up to Capcom standards, but they're by no means bad. The bosses themselves are pretty neat and are fun to fight, with some interesting weapon ideas.

Mega Man Revolution is alright but as far as aesthetics go, it doesn't have that "Mega Man flare" that Mega Man Unlimited and Rock Force have. Also some of the sprites need polish, bosses like Cryo Man feel out of place in the MM series. That said, I do like that they kept the Mega arm from MMV and the slide from MM3 and not just opt for the MM2-like style of game play. Achievements were also a neat addition. Didn't go far into this one, only beat the Robot Masters. Just saw how the fortress stages were like and honestly, I don't think I want to play through that. I would rather play the Day in the Limelight games where you play as the robot masters. The first one was a blast, can't wait to play the second.

The game all around looks a bit uninspired to be honest, a problem with the design by commite is that everyone voted for the choices that made the game so close to Megaman, that it can't stand on its own.

And i dropped $75 for this on Kickstarter. Heck, At this point, i'm far more excited to to do Mega Man's Final Smash attack in SSB.U Mighty N.9 based on what has been shown is very very mechanical, drab and industrial in presentation compared to the lush colorful and organic worlds present in the classic MM series.

It was the hype man, its when a storm of gaming kickstarters first happened and did very well. The game can still be good but its going to be looked at hindsight as off brand mega man in the worst way possible. At least with games like Guacameele and Shovel knight your getting spins on already made gameplay styles without it being a carbon rippoff. Hell IGA could launch a kickstarter that's a pure rip off of castlevaina and he would get by since castlevaina's setting is rather generic.

Yeah, the more that gets released about Mighty No. 9, the more I'm less enthusiastic about it. With the additional crowd funding for a game which already made almost $4 million, and this animated TV series which doesn't look good at all from the teaser, it just seems more and more soulless.

Also, if you already have a TV series confirmed which assumingly would have a full English voice-acting cast, why do you need $100,000 for in-game voice acting? You have the cast already, just get them to say some extra lines in the recording studio.

One interesting fact I read about Mighty No. 9 I read was that Inafune said that if Capcom would agree to it he could easier change Mighty No. 9 into a Mega Man game. Perhaps he was making a point to Capcom as to how easy for him it would to get the fans of Mega Man to follow him even though he didn't own the name rights to Mega Man. I just can't help to have that feeling when it comes to Mighty No. 9

Yeah, the way MN09 looks right now isn't really eye pleasing and a show for a game. I mean, the franchise is getting a cartoon show this early when the game is not even near completion. The cartoon concept itself isn't looking too hot either, but if TMNT and the Starwars cgi cartoon are anything to go by, then the MN09 cartoon could be good. Still wished it went with its 2D art though, 3D Beck's design is just... meh.

It could be worse.

Anyway, I'll reserve judgement when the game is in its BETA phase or when it gets a playable demo.

Well I have been playing Mega Man Ultimate the past few days (found out that my PS4 controller will work on the game XD) for a fan game this game is done really well. The only thing I find that the difficulty can be a tad on the high side especially Rainbow Man's stage. Still it is a real great game. Have any of you guys played it yet? If so what did you think of it?

I'm still at the Fortress stages of Megeman Unlimited. Took a break from it to play other games but I know I'll beat it within the year just like I did with MM9&10. It really is challenging, I'd classify it on the same league as MM 9. Have you tried Yoku Man's stage? For a secret stage, it is one trippy romp that incorporates the disappearing blocks along with a lengthy labyrinth to boot. The music itself sounds great too.

If you liked MMU, then I recommend you to try out Mega Man Rock Force, another solid attempt of a Classic style Classic game. The Day in the Limelight games are fun too, you get to play as the Robot Masters in playing in the RM stages that ascend them (eg MM1 bosses take on MM2 stages; MM2 bosses take on MM3, etc).

@Karakato: I haven't tried Yoku Man's stage yet but I have seen Roham Mythril's play though of it and it is indeed a very interesting stage. I know that stage will give me quite a challenge especially the parts with those hologram machines I guess I would call them are in.

I have yet to play Rock Force mainly cause I can't get a controller to work on it, yeah I know I can use the keyboard but I just can't do to well with the keyboard it just feels awkward playing NES style games using a keyboard if that makes sense at all. I will have to check out The Day in the Limelight games didn't even know about them till now but they sound interesting.
