The first one could be seen as a bit misleading cos it's not video game related (although a game based on the IP could be fun).

Btw, I do miss some former moderator here like Matthew010, who have ever defended me from some pesky users who attacked me for having different opinion.

@NeonPizza if I may suggest something? next time you wish to take a break from the site, you can use the contact form to have the admins ban your account instead of completely deleting it.

That way you can simply return to the same account later.

If I’m correct, your original account would actually be older than mine. I hate to see all that history lost to time.

@NeonPizza Fair enough! And yeah, forums like this one are still great for discussing games and I'm glad social media hasn't entirely killed them off. Without wishing to sound gatekeep-y, I sometimes find it a bit hard to talk to people IRL about games if they're not as plugged into the Nintendo zeitgeist as I am, so it's nice to have a website full of Nintendo obsessives!

Never fully understood this scorched earth account deletion thing people like to do when they want to go away from forums and communities. When I want to take a break, I take a break. Simple as.

I barely posted online for the majority of 2023 since life was happening.

May as well throw in my two cents before we're admonished for going a little off-topic.

I quite liked my interactions with JaxonH, though it's been awhile. His Monster Hunter passion convinced me to try the main series with Monster Hunter Rise. I do concede it was fun to play the game with others, but my interest went downhill fast once I got through a lot of the story content. I wasn't a fan of how much of a grind the game can be, nor how slow bringing down the monsters feels. I think I'll stick with the Monster Hunter Stories spinoffs for now. I know he was a frequent poster in the Nintendo Switch Thread. Nothing against the thread at all, but I quit reading it since the thread moved so fast. I've pared back my own forum time in general and go in spurts about when I comment on the main site.

I've been reading this site since 2011 and finally decided to join in August 2015. So while I haven't interacted with many of the oldest users, I do recall some of their posts. I've thought about permanently leaving more than once and might take a short-term break before long, but so far I can't permanently pull myself away from the forums and comments. I know few people that game IRL and almost none that are crazy Nintendo fans like yours truly...outside of a coworker's girlfriend who I only see at kickback company events a couple times a year.

I just turned 33 last week. So I'm sort of in that weird in-between where I'm not quite a young adult anymore, but not really middle-aged yet either.

So I got back from my vacation a few days ago.
And I did finish the yellow and blue streamers in origami king. And I spent a decent chunk of time playing RTDLD and I beat the story and magolor epilogue and now i just have to beat the boss of extra mode and hopefully the true arena.

Welcome back! It is good to hear you, that you made some progress in Paper Mario and Kirby. I finished 100% of Origami King, it is a great game. The minigames in the Kirby game are cool.

Just got back from vacation (Greece is lovely) but considering going dark here. It was a nice break during my vacation and I am noticing that folks that I was invisible to are now interacting with my posts including one user that makes me very uncomfortable to be here (which is dumb because I don’t say anything particularly of note, so I expected to go unnoticed around here.). I wish the accounts weren’t one general account as it is quieter on pure xbox but I will take Nov to see if I wanna stay overall. My engagement has been slowly declining anyway. So now is a good time to exit.

@Ryu_Niiyama I hope you did have a nice vacation! I didn’t even know you went to Greece. It seems like a very lovely place from what I’ve seen in pictures. There are a few places in the world that I want to visit later on.

If you do choose to leave because someone on here makes you feel uncomfortable, then that’s understandable. I hope that the decision you make will make you feel comfortable and better.

@GrailUK Hands Grail a box of bananas Peace AiAi, while there are a few folks I try to stay far away from here, like I said I will lay low. Did almost delete my account after the removal of user block though. Don’t go running folks over with monkey balls. Appreciate the support though.

@Jhena Yep temperate weather (I live in the desert so it was nice to wear a jacket), historical landmarks (walked around the Parthenon!), and amazing food (I don’t ever wanna hear anyone say anything about American food portions again. Greeks eat for three people minimum.) and beautiful seas. Twas lovely.

@Pastellioli Yeah I don’t announce when I am going somewhere until i get back for anti doxxing purposes. But I had a lovely time. Hilariously enough a family member was in Athens one day I was so I got to see her. Haven’t seen her in years in the same country but go overseas and boom, Hi Cousin! Took tons of pics, absolutely gorgeous country and lively people.

@Ryu_Niiyama Hey, Ryu. Glad you had a good time. Greece and Italy would be my wife’s and my choices to visit.

I’d not love seeing you go, but of course do what you think best. Always appreciate your input, but the Internet is the Internet. A good amount of sick puds. My guess is that you’d be relieved to peruse and not get involved and give the dopes any leash.
