On a serious note, he's right though. People disagreeing on the internet should not affect someone that much emotionally. Also, this site does not change much. People act as if there are huge fluctuations in debates and arguments. There aren't. Perceptions change over time, but Internet forums rarely undergo drastic changes, and this one is no exception.

The Wii vs PS3 vs 360 arguments were just as chaotic as the new ones. Maybe even more so since we had users like Clickety and Waltz that would type short novels to prove a point. (Though skywake fills that void to an extent)

@randomlypikachu: You and @SheldonRandoms need to get a BL, so I can contact you! Heck if DA has a way to contact other people, then we can use that to chat! But that's all I pretty much have to say for now. The only few things I'll be here for is if the Pokemon RP is revived I'll come here for that sometimes and the NL Deserted Island Vacation sometimes (Not all the time, just times when I feel it's safe to post, which may not be a lot now).

There's a difference between making a joke and being a total jerk about it. Let's not lean toward the latter.
With that said, I will agree with some points here. You are going to find negativity everywhere you go, and you simply cannot just walk away and expect everything to be better. If you do not wish to stay, that is your own choice. However you must consider how you plan to handle this situation should it arise in the future.

Well, am I being a jerk, really? I'm merely trying to emphasise just how stupid this whole charade is.
This is all happening because people expect a public forum to be a place where everyone gets along, and no one disagrees.
Which I think we can all unanimously agree is never going to happen.
It's one of the most daft things I've seen in a looong while (that's coming from someone whose been watching these!)
And, as you said in your Edit^, how are these people going to deal with something like this outside of the Internet - should it arise. :/
I just came on this thread to say I was gonna have a little break and now a bunch of members are leaving.
I know I'm not that much of a common poster but I really loved your guys' posts. General Discussion was the reason I stayed here because I liked a lot of you, and it seemed like this was the part of the site with the least arguing...

... So yeah, I'm having a break for a little while. I'm still going to check out the news articles and may comment on those, but I don't know if I wanna come back to the forum at all, unless I see more posts from members who I like again. If I decide to leave permanently, then I'll post about it here, but I guess for now I'll just see you all later...
I'm guessing i might take a break besides news and stuf and avatar. Since everyone in the chit-chat is gone except Veloster and no one is really doing the Avatar page except Neko-Chan
@SheldonRandoms I'm still coming back but only posting on the RP and some News articles. Also thanks @randomlypikachu I know that I'll be taking a break here but I'm going to be on the role-play so don't worry.
