Check out this video that was on a news website I frequent. A kid was playing his PSP and fell onto the railways because he wasn't looking. How ridiculous. So lucky that the off duty policeman acted so fast!
Why are you playing and walking at the same time in a busy area in the first place? Oh well, now more people are gonna have fit about video games and it being bad.

Scratch the busy place part, htf are you walking around and playing a game anyway? You're obviously either not completely focused on the game, or not watching where you're walking to. I'd be surprised if he didn't fall into some whole or walk onto a busy street if it's the latter.

Ouch, thats quite a nasty stumble considering the height of the platform. Poor kid....
Whats even more sad, is the Fact, no one else but The Cop, came to help the kid

This is the #1 thing that frustrates me so bad in situations like this. Or times when an entire group of people is just standing around watching some guy get beat to death on the street, etc etc. DO SOMETHING PEOPLE!

Unfortunately it's a natural psychological effect. I forget the exact name of it, but essentially the larger the group, the less likely anyone in that group is to assist in some kind of crisis. When we're in a group, very few people assume authority and will wait for someone we consider higher authority to command us before doing anything (even if we don't actually know anyone in the group). Apply that to everyone, and nobody moves.
Thank God the cop rescued that Game Boy, would've been awful had a train run over it. D:

This might seem cruel, but I'm just going to point and laugh!
What kind of idiot walks down the side of a train track in a busy subway playing your PSP/DS/whatever? Its obviously going to end up in you falling off and making yourself look like a moron.
And who games and walks at the same time in the first place? I can understand texting and walking, because its not as engrossing as a video game.
