@Smth2024 not saying yours is wrong, more explaining why I completely ignored all the other choices save for the forest farm. Downside of that one ofc is that you have to clear all the trees, though the wood is very useful for basic crafting and upgrades.
@jedgamesguy Oh ok, good to know. I do remember that your stamina depletes as the day goes on, and that you can stop mining anytime. So I'd stop when my stamina gets low. I could try the forest farm and see if I like that more.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@MarioVillager92 ...Y'know, I'd actually like to see a whimsical version of RE as a joke lol.
Thanks! My mom is feeling mostly better I think. Now it's my turn. I tested negative for Covid at least, but I definitely have something respiratory going on. I thought it was allergies at first, but now I'm not so sure. Leaning towards a sinus infection. Or maybe it's a mix of stuff with my luck. You'll have to tell what you end up getting your mom for her birthday.
Sadly, not all games let you change the difficulty on the fly. I think this should be allowed on all but the most "hardcore" settings depending on the game and developer lol. Won't hurt to check at any rate. I personally don't think playing on easier modes is a negative; people should play their games as they see fit, after all. It's their time and copy. I'm glad you're still having a lot of fun with Side Order! While I'm not really into Splatoon, I might look up the OST since I'm up for some decent video game tunes when I'm working. As long as there are little to no lyrics.
I did watch both Sleeping Beauty and Alice In Wonderland as a kid, though I think I only owned the former. I feel like the biggest classic Disney movie I still haven't seen is the original Mary Poppins. I'll admit I didn't have much interest in it as a kid though; the real life actors + animated characters never sat quite well with me back then. Now I don't mind it as long as it's done well. I've caught a couple of classics over the years that I didn't have much opportunity to watch back in the day. Namely Robin Hood and The Black Cauldron.
Anyway, while I'm working on my fifth story telling project, I have started the sixth story telling project with human characters and forest adventure as the theme.
I used my old short story project from my 5 elemental short stories (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth) and one of my short story creation was Wood elemental.
After I evaluated my short story creation, I think I can use that for my next story telling with some changes to make the storyline better.
I still have 5 months to prepare this sixth story telling project, better I start to find the background and the music theme for each scenes.
@jedgamesguy aren't trees abundant anyway? Like, to the south of your farm. I never found myself lacking them. Just asking though.
@MarioVillager92 yeah and it depletes fast in a mine. There is a hotspring (kinda uncough, especially compared to the nice and clean one from SOS/HM FOMT) near the main mine, so it kinda mitigates that.
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
Happy Mario Day! Hope you all are playing one of your favorite Mario games today. Did some Mario Kart alone and with my friend today. Also wearing a Princess Peach shirt today.
@Sunsy Yes indeed, I have a new username now. Now it shows that I like Animal Crossing, as well!
Nice, that's cool. I do remember that I used to have a Sailor Moon VHS tape that had a few episodes, if I recall correctly... but I no longer have it and I only watched it like once. Perhaps I somehow didn't get into it? It's been years though. I also have the first two seasons of My Hero Academia on blu-ray, my cousin got me into that anime back in 2019.
Absolutely... makes me wonder what kind of programming they did when they made X. I think the same dev studio made the Game Boy version of Race Drivin' as well, and that also looks impressive for the hardware. Decent framerate, too.
Thanks! Looks like I'm almost done with Side Order, without spoiling anything. Even went ahead and played some anarchy battles and a challenge in Splatoon 3's base game. Surprisingly, in the most recent challenge, I made it to the top 50% of players. It was the first time that happened to me so I felt good from it. Looks like you're enjoying Disney Speedstorm quite a bit, glad to hear... that reminds me, I should play more of Disney Dreamlight Valley sometime!
Cool, it works out then.
Wow, that must be really old as it's a VHS tape. That's fine, maybe it wasn't something for you, or it's been a long time since seeing it too. I never seen My Hero Academia, some of the other anime I've seen include A Certain Scientific Railgun, Is The Order A Rabbit?, Kinmoza, Girls und Panzer to name a few. I also have on DVD the Phantasy Star Online 2 anime from years ago, I only watched the first disc, I liked it so far, remember getting it for cheap (the studio that subbed it had it on sale), and because I played Phantasy Star Online 2 when it came to PC a few years back.
I didn't even know Race Driven was on Game Boy. Another good one with some 3D trickery is FaceBall 2000, which I own on Game Boy. It also was on SNES. It was an FPS where smiley faces shoot balls at each other.
You're welcome. That sounds like a good time. Disney Speedstorm is great, only real downside are the usual F2P tropes, microtransactions and that sort of stuff. I did unlock Prince Eric, but Ariel is behind a battle pass. I did unlock Anna and Elsa awhile back just from playing. My friend plays Disney Dreamlight Valley.
@Sunsy I wouldn't mind seeing a MLP pic or two sometime. I never really got into the show, but the animation looked fluid.
Amiibo were clearly Nintendo trying to cash into the toys to life market, at least in the beginning. I think they are going for the limited edition collector mentality these days. Against my better judgment, I ordered the Noah + Mio double pack since I'm a hopeless Xenoblade nerd. I hadn't bought any in awhile before now.
One day I'll take a pic of one of the vinyl figures All of them aside from two are put away, so I could take a picture of one I have out. It's really impressive given that they're by the same company that makes the Pops.
I'm guessing that too, I rarely find amiibo nowadays, sometimes I'll see them at Target, but aside from that I don't see them as often as I did. I remember Toys R Us was the best place for amiibo. Sounds like a nice pick up.
@Princess_Lilly having looked at all of the starting layouts, yeah they're pretty abundant regardless of which starting farm you choose, but the woodland layout has less breakup of tree spawn tiles and farming areas is all.
Good morning.
Today is Nyepi day (Hindu's New Year) in my country Indonesia especially at Bali which Hindu peoples will celebrate Nyepi Day by doing these restrictions:
1. Amati Geni (No light, no fire, no anger)
2. Amati Karya (No working)
3. Amati Lelungan (No travelling)
4. Amati Lelanguan (No having fun activities)
All these restrictions are for improving the spiritual aspect to the God (Sang Hyang Widhi).
So unlike Western New Year and Chinese New Year that celebrated with euphoria, Hindu New Year in Bali celebrated by being silent, self control, self introspection and praying to the God. Peaceful moment for one day so that's why the access to the Bali today is closed to give respect for Hindu peoples at Bali to celebrate Nyepi day.
Happy MAR10 Day everyone! I plan to celebrate by putting more time into my Bowser's Inside Story + BJJ run on 3DS. A lucky coincidence I'm playing this right now lol. I did also give the Princess Peach Showtime demo a spin yesterday. I'd call it a B tier platformer; it's an enjoyable game, but not one I'll snap up day one.
It's also come to my attention that it's Mother's Day in the UK, so happy Mother's Day to all the moms, whether they're in the UK or elsewhere.
@Sunsy No problem at all, just take a pic or three when you're up for it. As for amiibo, I don't commonly see them in stores anymore, at least not Walmart. I'm sure GameStop still has a few on display, but I haven't been to my local one for several months. That might change with the TTYD Switch port release though; I'll probably preorder in store.
Hope everyone had a great Mario Day. I got to play in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online tournament, and I also played some Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Super Mario 64. Looking forward to the next Mario movie and the Paper Mario: TTYD remake, as well!
@Tyranexx You know, that reminds me, Capcom did that with Mega Man earlier! They made Mega Man: Powered Up (a remake of Mega Man 1) for the PSP, and that has a cutesy art style. It came with a level creator too, nine years before Super Mario Maker came out.
Oh shoot... sorry to hear you're not feeling so hot. I hope you feel better real soon, and get plenty of rest if you can. Good to hear your mom's getting better at least. All righty sure, will do. Last year, I got my mom some "mom" house decorations... one of them says "best mom ever" and is in one of our glass cabinets. She loves scented candles too, so I also got her a couple of them!
Oh I agree for sure, it's totally fine to play on easy mode. Not everyone enjoys playing on harder difficulties... oh and it might be a good time for me to bring this up. I feel like I'm getting a bit worse at games as I get older... I don't really know why I've gotten a bit more mistake-prone in them. One of my recent Mario Kart races ended badly because of that. Though, I do try not to be hard on myself, because everyone makes mistakes. Most of my other races went well, just thought I'd clarify. Splatoon's music is great, a lot of the tracks have lyrics, but they're all in a made-up language. The Inklings and all the others in the Splatoon universe have their own language, so to speak.
That's cool you've seen those as a kid. I liked Mary Poppins, I especially liked the songs in that movie... the special effects were great for the time as well. In case you're wondering, there's just one segment where it's part animated and part live-action. Most of the movie is live-action only. I'd say that part was done well. I'd recommend seeing the movie itself... it'd be interesting to see what you'd think of it. Oh, is The Black Cauldron any good? I'm kind of curious about that one.
@Princess_Lilly Oh gotcha, you work at a mine huh? Good to hear they've got a hot spring at least. My younger brother's been to a coal mine for a field trip many years back, but I've not been in one.
@Sunsy Happy belated Mario Day. I played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Super Mario 64 to celebrate. There was an online tournament for MK8D that I got to play in, and I played as Peach in that game. I did pretty decent in the tournament overall.
Yeah... to be honest, I kinda like my new username more now. If only the Switch's usernames could be longer though! Maybe for the Switch 2. I also have myself as an Animal Crossing villager as my profile picture!
Yeah. I think I had it in... 1999, I wanna say? I'm guessing that year since Pokemon was the first anime I saw, I saw that before checking out Sailor Moon. Oh gotcha, I don't think I've seen the anime you've seen. I've also been seeing Black Clover and Trigun in more recent years. Gosh, I didn't even know there was a Phantasy Star Online 2 anime. Didn't PSO2 come out on Xbox a few years ago? I know the first one's on Dreamcast.
That's cool, I've heard of FaceBall 2000. It does look like a quirky little game, lol.
Ok gotcha, yeah I'm not too huge into the stuff that free-to-play games usually does. Glad you're enjoying the game nonetheless. I'm guessing they want you to buy Ariel, huh? Good thing you got Prince Eric at least, as well as getting Anna and Elsa.

Good morning.
Today is the first day of Fasting Day in Indonesia.
They will do fasting from early morning to sunset.
And the school get one day holiday for first day of Fasting day.
The school activity will back to normal on this Wednesday.
@MarioVillager92 Interesting; I've heard of Mega Man: Powered Up, but I had no idea it was a remake of MM1 in a cutesy style. I never looked into it much and assumed it was a spinoff.
On my health; thanks. I've been resting most of this weekend and worked from home today too. I have gotten out for a couple of leisure walks though since it's fairly decent outside. I am feeling better, not quite 100%, but getting there. The worst part now is the cough. Those sound like gifts your mom would appreciate! A friend is actually getting me into scented candles a bit, though they can't be too strong or perfume-y. When I'm not stuffified, strong non-food smells can actually really bother me.
Right; ultimately, everyone should play their own game copy to their satisfaction; its their time and money, after all! In terms of reflexes, I think there is some documentation out there that our reaction times in games get progressively worse as we get older, though that depends on the genre. I didn't like some games like FPS and shmups even when I had the reflexes for them. Heck, I started getting cramped hands on a few longer sessions of Super Mario Bros. Wonder; anything to do with the Special World levels lol. I had to take breaks. Glad your other races went well. I think I will give the Splatoon OST a listen at home then; sounds like the lyrics, nonsensical as they are, might bother me a bit in my crazier work concentration moments. I do a lot of mental work with my job sometimes.
Yeah, I need to give Mary Poppins a fair chance sometime. Thinking back, I think another problem with kid me was it wasn't fully animated. XD The Black Cauldron is...different. One that's worth at least one watch if you're into fantasy settings. No music numbers that I can really recall, and it wasn't afraid to get dark for a Disney film. It's loosely based on the first two books in The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. The film has an interesting history in relation to Disney and wasn't very popular when it initially released in the 80s, but it was later released on home video in the late 90s. It now has a cult following.
@Tyranexx
I'm not really interested with Mary Poppins, but I really like the Eurobeat version of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from DDR Disney Mix on PS1.
The original of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious song sounds meh in my opinion, but the Eurobeat version sounds way much better for me.
@Tyranexx Look up Roham Mythril on Youtube, he did a buster only no damage playthrough of Mega Man Powered Up some years ago, quite entertaining actually.
RetiredPush Square Moderator and all around retro gamer.
Looking at the music choices for my fifth story telling, it looks interesting.
I see combination of music's from Gravity Circuit, Pokemon X, Harvest Moon Save the Homeland, FF IX, FF X, FF X-2, FF XIII, Miitopia, Sly Cooper 2, etc.
I included Sly Cooper since there will be a thievery scene at museum from my story telling and Sly Cooper songs is perfect for that scene.
The Gravity Circuit with very Eurobeat Megaman musics really fit for the beginning and the end of the story.
I also used certain Sailor Moon music, Blockbuster by Dave King (Britain's Next Top Model elimination song), Minueto to for non gaming musics for my fifth story telling.
