@IceDomino if you do not want criticism on your art it is better to just not post it.
I know that it is harsh but once you post something online it is available for anyone to discuss unless you build your own site and disable any form of feedback.
@IceDomino Well you can always state that you do not want criticism but that will come out as snooty.
So, you have 2 options in my opinion. Ignore any advice/criticism or learn from it.
For example, a person (on reddit) told me that my vampire sculpture was looking a little like a squirrel and I had a hard look at it Leaving only 2 teeth really made it look that way when looking at it up close. So, I added 4 small teeth on the bottom jaw, and it really looks better that way
You are in charge of everything UNTIL you make it public.
@Sunsy Funkos have their fans. I don't think all of them look bad, there are a couple I've seen that I've actually sort of liked. I'm just not a fan of big head/small body designs like that usually. And the eyes don't really work for most characters and look a bit soulless to me IMO. I'm picky about the things that I buy to collect dust since I hate dusting. The less stuff I have to move, the happier I am.
That actually sounds like a pretty easy way to make a rice ball. Though I'm one who'd definitely want to try to experiment with fillings. I might give that aisle a finer comb next time I go to Walmart, but that won't be until next month. I mostly buy non-food essentials there, so I don't need to go often.
That's fine. The few I do have are based off characters I like, which in turn are mainly cartoon characters that typically have big heads. XD
It's a fun way to experiment, when I did it with the imitation crab, it was pretty easy to do. Don't know about other fillings. Try finding it, I'm not sure if Walmart would have, but wouldn't hurt to look.
I'd like everyone to know that user Eagly has deleted all of his accounts, we do not know why, but we wish him the best wishes for whatever is going on.
That explains why I never heard from him after posting about the new Megamind TV show. I thought of him when I saw it come up recommended on YouTube, even if the reception of it has been negative, I just knew Megamind was something he liked. Hope he's doing well.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Eel@Arcata ah so you're sheriff Luigi then (I was going to put an image of sheriff Luigi from Mario Party 2 but I can't figure out how)
Can I do a completionist run of video game history? (It's still being made so we'll see)
Currently Playing: Unicorn Overlord (Switch)
Next Up: Sand Land (PC)
Panic (Reality)

@Tyranexx Is that a IRON GIANT thumbnail??? That movie is SO GOOD one of my favorites...
Space and Games are similar. Space is endless and new stuff is out there waiting to be discovered. Games are always being made but the creativity is different from one game to another and so many more ideas still haven't been imagined or created yet. (That came out better than expected lol)
@Susny There was a Pikachu related Funko I thought about getting since the aesthetic fits the little guy, but I convinced myself not to buy it lol.
I think I will try to experiment with rice balls sometime. Even if I can't find nori, at least rice is easy to find around here. The sky is the limit when it comes to fillings lol. Now to just find a time when I'm less busy or lazy, depending....
@GalaxicGlobe Why yes it is! I've seen the movie, but it's been ages. It's probably due for a rewatch.
Last time I have performed storytelling to grade 1 - 3 students with my diorama in November 2023 with title The North Wind and The Sun.
Do you want to hear my version of this storytelling?
The story started on a young man named Alexander who live in Santorini, Greece.
One day he wanted to visit his friend Victoria that not far away from his villa. Before that, he baked a Pistachio Baklava then he watched the weather forecast from his TV to check the current weather this afternoon. After watching weather forecast, he called Victoria from his handphone to make an appointment by visiting her house and having snack party over there with his handmade Baklava. Before he left from his house, Alexander brought the umbrella and wore his red jacket.
Victoria's house was not far away from Alexander's Villa so Alexander have a walk to visit Victoria's house. While Alexander was on the way to Victoria's house, meanwhile in the sky there was an argument from Aeolus the North Wind and Helios the Sun. The had an argument about who was the strongest by boasting their power. But when they saw Alexander walking on the street with his red jacket, Aeolus had an idea to make a competition to prove their power by making Alexander take off his jacket. Helios wasn't really interested with the idea but he accepted the challenge and let Aeolus did first.
Aeolus gathered his wind power and blew some cold wind through the Alexander. Alexander zipped the jacket once he felt the cold wind and it made Aeolus upset. Then, Aeolus gathered more wind power and it made the sky getting darker. He blew more powerful wind with some rain on Alexander but it made Alexander using his umbrella and keep walking. Aeolus became very upset and used all his wind power to the maximum and it created a hurricane. Alexander couldn't resist from the hurricane and he blown away in the sky and dropped on the bushes. It hurt his arm too a little bit. Aeolus was baffled and upset to see his wind power couldn't make Alexander take off his jacket so immediately he stopped using his wind power. Helios was surprised with the chaos that caused by Aeolus. And now it's Helios turn to prove his power.
Helios used his sunshine power by smiling in the sky, shining over the Alexander that still on the bushes. The sunshine from Helios warmed up Alexander and made him unzipped his jacket. Helios raised the sunshine temperature
and it made Alexander felt hot. Then, Alexander take off his jacket and continue walking to Victoria's house. Helios won the competition and it made Aeolus upset, but then he admitted Helios was stronger than Aeolus and he apologized for being over confident.
Back to Alexander, as he reached Victoria's house he found some mess over there. When he met with Victoria outside, Victoria explained the crazy thing happened outside that caused her house got messed by strong wind and sunshine heat. Alexander offered a help to clean up Victoria's house before having snack time together. After they finished cleaning up, they had snack party with Baklava at Victoria's house. The End.
How was my story about The North Wind and The Sun ?

@GalaxicGlobe The Iron Giant seems to be one of those movies that slid under most peoples' radars back in the day. Now it's getting more of a cult following. Which I'm completely fine with lol.
@Anti-Matter I like it! It's a pretty good retelling of Aesop's The North Wind and The Sun with some modern elements.
@Tyranexx
Thanks. 😊
Glad you like my fractured version of The North Wind and The Sun.
It was my 4th storytelling that I used diorama to deliver the storyline.
The 1st was Three Billy Goats Gruff with given name Maxton, Milton and Kidd for the goats and Trevor for the Troll.
The 2nd was The Honest Woodcutter with Harvey as honest woodcutter, Evan as dishonest woodcutter + Harvey's partner, Aria as water goddess.
The 3rd was The Fox and The Bear with setting at Japan. The Fox was Kitsune and the Bear was Kuma.
