Time for me to decide on a whole new wardrobe for my persona. I'm a sucker for the Asian-style clothes where the outfit is worn so it looks like a lowercase "y" on the front (like on kimonos), is there one similar that's just for the shirt, so my persona can still have visible pants? I'm thinking of making a copy of Ren's outfit from early "RWBY" episodes.

@IceDomino I think that you need to pay attention to which side of the robe goes over the other, if I remember correctly. Don't quote me on which is right but I think that the left going over the right side of the robe is correct, while the right going over the left is for funerals/indicates that the person is deceased (I seem to remember a folktale where a traveler realized they were talking to a ghost based on the way they tied their kimono) As for the pants with a brief search maybe look at hakama? Though that might be not what you're looking for based on a preliminary search of the RWBY character.

@chiiizu Dude, I know about the lowercase “y” thing. When I drew my persona in a kimono a long time ago, I had to use a drawing reference, which taught me about the era each one came from, and how it being backwards basically means “I’m dead”.

Also did you seriously just notify me twice in the same post? 🤨

@IceDomino oops I’m sorry I haven’t quoted anything before and I had a feeling that it would cite you twice but I wasn’t sure and couldn’t remember how other people had done it in the past (edit: also after rereading my post it does come off as me assuming you’re doing it wrong so also sorry about that)

@IceDomino if you do not want criticism on your art it is better to just not post it.

I know that it is harsh but once you post something online it is available for anyone to discuss unless you build your own site and disable any form of feedback.

Zuljaras

@IceDomino Well you can always state that you do not want criticism but that will come out as snooty.

So, you have 2 options in my opinion. Ignore any advice/criticism or learn from it.

For example, a person (on reddit) told me that my vampire sculpture was looking a little like a squirrel and I had a hard look at it Leaving only 2 teeth really made it look that way when looking at it up close. So, I added 4 small teeth on the bottom jaw, and it really looks better that way

You are in charge of everything UNTIL you make it public.

@Sunsy Funkos have their fans. I don't think all of them look bad, there are a couple I've seen that I've actually sort of liked. I'm just not a fan of big head/small body designs like that usually. And the eyes don't really work for most characters and look a bit soulless to me IMO. I'm picky about the things that I buy to collect dust since I hate dusting. The less stuff I have to move, the happier I am.
That actually sounds like a pretty easy way to make a rice ball. Though I'm one who'd definitely want to try to experiment with fillings. I might give that aisle a finer comb next time I go to Walmart, but that won't be until next month. I mostly buy non-food essentials there, so I don't need to go often.

That's fine. The few I do have are based off characters I like, which in turn are mainly cartoon characters that typically have big heads. XD

It's a fun way to experiment, when I did it with the imitation crab, it was pretty easy to do. Don't know about other fillings. Try finding it, I'm not sure if Walmart would have, but wouldn't hurt to look.

@DreamlandGem @Eel

That explains why I never heard from him after posting about the new Megamind TV show. I thought of him when I saw it come up recommended on YouTube, even if the reception of it has been negative, I just knew Megamind was something he liked. Hope he's doing well.

@Eel @Arcata ah so you're sheriff Luigi then (I was going to put an image of sheriff Luigi from Mario Party 2 but I can't figure out how)
