@LuznoLindo I turn 14 soon, then I can get my workers permit, and I can stop being broke and debating whether or not I should buy a cookie

I also didn't tip the Subway cashier and I feel bad about it

I'm still very busy IRL, but things should slow down for a couple weeks after this weekend. Then the Thanksgiving and Christmas craziness starts. 😅

@MarioLover92 If I had the time and attention span, I'd probably be a linguist. Other languages intrigue me. Part of the problem too is due to personality and previous experiences, I don't like being put on the spot and feeling like I'm judged. So it's very difficult for me to try to communicate in a language I'm not comfortable with. I realize some people go through this a lot in various parts of the world and it's a form of exposure therapy, but it's not something I normally run into outside of online spaces. I did try somewhat in Germany. However, due to the education system and foreign programming out there, some folks - particularly younger ones - had much better English than my German. XD And I did study it in high school and retained a lot, but that was almost a decade ago now.

Oh, Indy is more like a 3-4 hour drive for me. St. Louis would be more doable in a day, though I'd probably spend the night somewhere if I needed to be in the area for several days anyway. the closest I've been to NYC is Philadelphia for a short work related conference. That was nice, but we didn't get a lot of time outside of the conference to sightsee. We did manage to see The Liberty Bell and some of the historic district at least.

Now that Monday's over, four days left to go until Trolls Band Together early access. The weekend can't come quick enough! Think starting tomorrow, I'm going to watch the whole series one movie per night starting with Trolls, then Trolls Holiday, then Trolls World Tour, then Trolls: Holiday In Harmony, finishing with the new movie on Saturday.

Including the two holiday specials as they take place after their respective movies, and add to the overall story of Poppy and Branch.

@Sunsy There are a lot of good scary films, even parodies. In my case, the trick is actually finding time to watch them. Glad you're having a lot of fun with Monster Bash too. I'm not sure if I'll get to any horror themed games unless they're from the World of Darkness setting though. I hope Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines gets a hefty discount in the Steam Halloween sale.

Yeah. Mom and I did watch Young Frankenstein tonight. Yeah, that's one thing I like about GOG, getting to play classic DOS games I missed out on as a kid. My family had a Mac, so "PC" games I played were on there. Nice, enjoy the game if you get a good deal on it.

@Sunsy yeah fionna and cake made me realize just how much adult animation is lacking visually because it’s an adult animated cartoon that doesn’t make you wanna look away from the screen

I agree artsytles draw me to a series. If you’ve seen me ranting about Moon girl recently 90% of the reason I watched it was how beautiful the show looks. It’s like a 2D spiderverse or persona. Like sometimes it’s just enjoyable to

Look at animated movies. For instance I really don’t care for the mostly weak ploted nightmare before Christmas but the visuals save it and don’t make me suffer when watching it.

I mean I watch adult animation and I’m fine with shows looking ugly in a kind of welcoming way. I don’t know how to really explain it but take KOTH vs Big mouth. I don’t think KOTH necessarily looks good but the visuals have a cuarm to them and after a while they become quite welcoming even if they are still rather ugly. While big mouth is just ugly no redeeming features

King of the hill was an ugly but dare I say welcoming and cozy art choice while big mouth is just ugly

However Fionna and cake still blows em both out of the water

Like is it too much to hope that Fionna and cake inspires other studios to realize that adults will watch something intended to be visually beautiful

Well the reason sadly is the writers understanding pf comedy. The trash adult sitcoms you are thinking of believe that all that matters to comedy is Dirty humor. Coming from someone who enjoys dirty humor it isn’t funny because it’s dirty. The writers think adding something gross is in of itself a joke they don’t consider that you need a joke to go along with it.

Cool, I've heard of good things about Moon Girl. Yeah, I can see with the comparison. I always thought King of the Hill was trying to be a bit more on the realistic side with its style. Never really considered it as "ugly" because of the show itself. I do know that was one series my mom did enjoy watching. I think the few adult animated shows I've seen were from Fox. King of the Hill, Futurama, and Simpsons. I did watch Family Guy at one point, but over time I just lost interest with it.

From that GIF, I can see what you mean when talking about Fiona and Cake. Oh ok, maybe the humor just isn't my taste. Then again, I'm adult and I tend to enjoy family friendly animation more.

@Sunsy Me too, been having a blast with Mario Wonder! It's my first playthrough of the game and I'm already having a wonderful time with it... pun entirely intended. This might just be my personal game of the year, honestly. Oh nice, glad you got to have the early showing as well, you deserve it.

I don't think I had biscuit tea either, I do remember having lemon tea and it is pretty good, especially the aroma. You like peppermint, huh? I'm not too huge into minty flavors (I don't dislike them, though) but it's cool you like it.

Nice, that's cool, I actually have that Super Game Boy player's guide. I recall hearing that it came with the SGB itself. I remember my dad had one, as well as Donkey Kong '94. I do like the borders as well, especially the one that was for the aforementioned Donkey Kong '94. It looked a lot like the arcade cabinet screen border. I remember that the guide said you could write notes on it, and yeah it does seem to be the precursor to the 3DS's game notes. I guess the Switch's screenshot capture could be a makeshift alternative to that, too. Like in Super Mario Odyssey, you could take screenshots of hint arts to help you find certain moons.

I don't think we've played Kirby Super Star online before... maybe we could try that out sometime. I know we've played Super Mario Kart and Super Mario All-Stars together.

Absolutely, I've heard nothing but good things about Frozen, so I watched it after renting it on Netflix and I enjoyed it. I might check out Finding Nemo at some point, I've not watch too much of Pixar's movies. Though as you may remember, I loved Luca back when I first saw it a couple years back. I can't blame you... Once Upon A Studio really made me emotional as a Disney fan. Makes me want to watch more Disney movies and cartoons, as well.

I remember that's how you got to go to that WWE event, that's cool. I did pay a little visit to Madison Square Garden when I was at New York City with my dad - we didn't go to any events, but I do recall there was a lot of New York Rangers merchandise. (My dad is a hockey guy and a Rangers fan.) I agree for sure, I like my train rides to be above ground, as well... love seeing all the scenery pass by. I've been on a couple train rides in an amusement park that I went to, and those were also fun! In that railroad museum I mentioned last time, the train that we've been on was an old-fashioned steam train. We've been in a trolley before, as well.

Cool, glad you're having a wonderful time. All I have is four days left until the showing.

Yeah, it's a nice treat, but sadly that cocoa is only available around Christmastime. So I have to wait for mid November just to be able to enjoy it again. At least trying it got me liking the white hot chocolate as an alternative throughout the year. Starbucks said the peppermint one could be bought any time of year, but I think that's a mistake as the app says "out of season."

The Super Game Boy Donkey Kong 94 pause screen I remember looked like a SNES quality picture. I'm also reminded Donkey Kong Land didn't allow color changing, but the border was the trees from DKC. The coolest was Space Invaders... it gave you a full blown SNES version of the game by playing on Super Game Boy. Holy cow it was cool. You could play the Game Boy one with the arcade border, or you can play this full screen SNES version with special backgrounds and everything. I just found video of it. 12:20 mark.

Kirby Super Star would be perfect online, especially since the game has co-op. One of the players plays as Kirby's helpers when they spawn.

Cool, I saw Frozen at my friend's house. Was a nice day. Got to eat pizza, watch Frozen, and play some games afterwards. Even brought over my Wii U. Crazy to think it's turning 10 this year. Hope you enjoy Finding Nemo when you around to it. Once Upon A Studio was done too well, also it's going to be in theaters alongside Wish.

Nice. That WWE event was the first time I went to MSG, I was surprised at how huge it was. It pretty cool though, while I was at the event one time, I actually can rewatch it as I went to a Monday Night Raw taping, and the episode is on Peacock, lol. Yeah, it's funny how that's the only time I've been on an above land train ride, the other ones I've been on were all underground, and it was rather boring since it's dark tunnels.

The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!

Sweet chubby girl then. ( I say that as a compliment, to be clear.)

My other cat decided to show her face, so I’ll put a photo on here to complete the trio.

Mario Wonder is really good so far, although the levels can be a bit short. But there are a lot of them, at least in world 1, to counteract that.

@blindsquarel Yeah I'm also definitely more a cat person. People say they love dogs but they forget that they often leave things behind and their owners can't be bothered to clean up after them. They also bark and behave aggresively towards everything and I have to get out of my way just to avoid them until the owner's synapses notice that they should tighten the leash because their precious baby is trying to pick a fight with a stranger.

Cats will scratch you but they don't seem that bad. Especially the wild ones, they will just meow and get out of your way.

I can't really tell because I never had any real life pet, but is spaying necessary or could you just keep them indoors? The barn indicates that you live in a rural area, so I guess you keep your pets outside?

@Princess_Lilly I wanna go Trick or Treating, but Covid's going around in my town and it's also snowing
Though I'm still in a costume, I have cat ears, black earrings, and a witch looking dress with stars on it, so I'm some weird cat girl/with hybrid (I was too poor to afford a costume, as you can see) cause I just tossed on what I had in my closet
