Made a Japanese nintendo account so I can download a Buncha Japan exclusive fire emblem games. Unfortunately, my news feed has become incredibly unreadable as a result, but it’s a sacrifice I was willing to take for Genealogy Of The Holy War cause the remake is taking SO DAMN LONG
Wait, why do we need a Sigurd? I mean signature, jeez.
@TheBigBlue Is that on the Switch? I'd really like to play that one, and I made a Japanese Nintendo account recently, too. Or is it just on nintendo switch online?
Currently playing: Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Xenoblade 3 (JP dub replay) , Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, River City Girls
I mess about with pfp backgrounds way too much, sorry.
@Scooby-Doo so what I did cause I don’t have a Japanese account is I made a new one from a google account I accidentally created years ago while I was trying to sign into my main one. I almost forgot the password to that account and then I barely remembered it and got back in. Set the region to ‘Japan’ and linked it to a new user account on my switch. Verification is tedious, but if you know all the logins, you’ll be ok. This was me testing if I could download the japan exclusive NSO games via the eshop. What you do is go onto the eshop, select the Japanese account, and go to Nintendo Switch Online (it’s written in English conveniently.) I scrolled to Famicom and Super Famicom. For this test, I downloaded Super Famicom. As long as your English account has NSO base tier subscription, you can just download the Famicom apps. And Japanese game boy too I assume. So I downloaded Super Famicom and selected Fire Emblem Genealogy Of The Holy War (The cover art is an angry guy with blue hair named Seliph.) You will know if you selected Genealogy or Mystery Of The Emblem by the opening screen. They play different themes and have different swords in the logo. And that’s that! (My news section got absolutely flooded by Japanese newsletters, but if you don’t use the newsletter app then you will be ok.) Use an English translator on YouTube or some forum (For Genealogy, I used project naga) if you don’t understand Japanese at all like me. I deleted the Japanese stuff and the Famicom App so my newsletter didn’t get filled with more garbage I couldn’t read. Enjoy!

@ComfyAko Some remasters sell incredibly well such as Metroid prime. I hope it’s sucess is able to convince Nintendo that there is a place for older games on Nintendo consoles. like you said as long as it’s not abhorrent I am fine with it.
A list of AAA games I’ve played that aren’t open world. Fallsn order, God of war, GOTG the game, doom and donkey Kong tropical freeze. I enjoyed them all specially because they were linear and story based. I have been ignoring hogwarts I don’t care for the IP so no point in bothering with a skyrim clone with it plastered on it
I 100% completed mario 64 on switch so I can confidently say that there is some really stuipd level design choices with the game such as the entire flying level or the star cannon levels. I think a remaster with tighter controls and a better camera would do the game wonders. The good parts of the game are hard to enjoy when the game feels like it’s fighting you. And for what it’s worth I had alot more fun playing the m64 remade levels in galaxy 2 they are designed well the controls just need overhauling
Here it is my magnum opus. I am spoiler tagging it because it legitimately makes me sick to look at. Like seriously I am not going to pretend to be a doctor but if you have vertigo or something similar don’t look
@Sunsy I think the market just kind of burned out. All the skylanders/legos/disney characters were on the disk and while it was magical for a time people realized they were buying on disk dlc for every figure. At least in Legos defense they were fully functioning mini figures that could be separated from the dimensions branding giving them the best value
Tt is the childhood of half the people on this site I love them and thier lego games. I would argue that they are one of the best studios for making kids games. They respect thier audience’s intelligence and thier games are sharp enough to be enjoyed by adults. Cant go wrong with lego games.
I get the appeal of the PC Mods, cheaper games and free online. My issue more stems from the upfront cost. I’ll probably commit one day but for now My switch and Ps5 already fully satisfy me
@TeaCatherine hypothetically would you play an xenoblade warriors game in the style of AOC/FE3H?
Neko are a blessing from Japan and should be treated as such. If you don’t love Neko there is probably something wrong with you. I’m a Neko now and if you take issue with that block me

@Eagly On the one hand, yay, more Xenoblade but on the other I really don't like the gameplay of musou games, I kind of want 3 Hopes though. @Kermit1 Isn't there a rule against posting in other languages? @BigBlue Metroid Prime happened so there's hope.

@JadeKitsune Nice to meet another Alice's Wonderland Bakery fan. I first saw the show when I got Disney+, and loved it since. It's so heartfelt and has a lot of cool callbacks to Alice in Wonderland. It's become one of my favorite shows.
@Eagly Yeah, plus the big downside to the Lego ones, you needed the game to build them. All the instructions were inside the game. Had to do this with Sonic's set. If anyone wanted a set, they would have to look up the instructions. Though building did add to the experience.
Indeed, though I would say Finding Nemo is more on the simplier side. I still had fun with it, though funnily enough, I got a later revision of the GameCube game with the load times fixed. I loved the TT's head YouTube channel, he went into all sorts of tricks with programming older TT games.
That's fine, PC gaming is great once you get into it. I always loved having both PC and Nintendo for gaming.
The resident Trolls superfan! Looking forward to Trolls Band Together this November!

@TeaCatherine I have found that 3 hopes mixes in fire emblem gameplay it is still muso at heart but it feels like a cross between franchise. I think xenoblade would gel with the warriors treatment of explaining something the main series dosen’t want to. With all the loose ends of 3 a warriors game may be necessary. Plus at least story wise it would be enjoyable
@Colonel_Mustache I am going to spend 3 hours making the worse thing you have ever see
@Sunsy at least lego catalogs all thier instructions online so it isn’t too much of a hassle. I feel like most people interested in dimensions at this point are probably those who have a deeper lego knowledge so I bet they’ll be fine.
The lego batman opening is pure nostalgia for me. I played that game and it’s ds conterpart so much as a kid. I know that modern lego games are better but it still feels warm just thinking about the classic ones. Back when there wasn’t an open world, the characters mumbled and the batman game’s lighting was strangely dark
I may get a PC one day but as it stands I am enjoying the ps5 and it’s exclusives. Still it is a possibility I get one one day
