@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Fair enough. Cute anime is the kind of anime I love. It's more slice of life, but I love Is The Order A Rabbit. Kinmoza (or Kiniro Mosaic) is another one I love too. Doing art takes a lot of practice, the more you do it, the better you get at it. Practice at art is something to work towards, it can be rewarding. @ComfyAko sums it up well.

Serious note, I know it's a sensitive subject in the art community, but I feel AI art takes away from actual artists who work hard to craft their art. That's just what I think on the subject anyway, so will leave it at that.
I actually love to draw, but it's more of a hobby kind of thing that I do for fun. Not to mention I mainly draw my favorite characters.

Okay, I'm kind of annoyed now. I looked at this thread before I logged back in and Anti-Matter was complaining about the mention of waifus, he was making it out like even saying the word made you some kind of pervert. I just use the word to describe female characters I like, nothing else.

@Kermit1
AI drawing looks very artificial in my opinion.
I keep practice drawing in both hand drawing and designing with Corel Draw + Corel Photopaint so I can make my own design for my own projects (calendar, poster, coloring pages) and for my school projects.
If you take a look the sneak peek of my bedroom, you will understand my obsession.
@Sunsy
I prefer hand drawing pictures than AI arts as hand drawing pictures have more efforts and personality while AI arts looks very artificial and lazy even it looks too perfect for being an art.
You can see I like to draw my Chibi characters from sneak peek of my bedroom above.
@TeaCatherine
I can’t read his comments anymore myself, but he does have an ‘utter disgust’ for what he describes as ‘adult games’ from what I recall, so a take like ‘waifu makes you a pervert’ sounds about on the usual level I expect. Not much use discussing it either since he’ll hold fast to his opinion while not really being respectful to others.
But yeah, waifu doesn’t immediately make you a pervert, I think that much is logical. You can use it in a perverted way but it isn’t inherently bad.
I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.
@Takoda Yeah, he blocked me a while ago for giving him some recommendations of things I thought he might be okay with. I'm pretty sure at least 20% of the the people here must be blocked by him.

@Sunsy That's mostly how the entire MPT bunch played. Echoes on GameCube is renowned for its difficulty, I believe partially due to the controls. I recall reading they toned down some bosses in the MPT release too. Which was surprising since I still had some problems playing through it lol.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I probably should use Time Extension more since I do enjoy some retro content. Though I doubt I'd participate in that community. I'm becoming quite busy IRL, so tbh I'll likely cut down my forum use here a lot more than I already have. I just can't easily keep up on threads anymore.
Glad I'm not the only person who enjoys the timeline view.

@TeaCatherine I don’t really remember why I got blocked, but I don’t really mind either way. The only thing I miss is that I could have a good laugh at the sheer ridiculousness of most of his posts.

I just got Zelda tri force heros on 3ds to play with my sister and am pretty upset that it needs 3 people. I always assumed that it would at least be playable with 2 players. That’s what I get for impulse buying.
I fear no man
but that thing:
The carrot minigame from bowser's inside story
it scares me
Ai art used to be funny but now it’s stealing from artists and a glorified p*rn tool. I liked it when it was “Karl Marx gets slimed at the kids choice awards” :’(

@Sunsy Yeah I like to draw too, but I'm faaaaaaar from producing anything that human eyes could recover from. I'm still hanging on tho.
Also, I said it somewhere before, but AI "art" doesn't really make it as a piece of art, in my opinion. If there is no artist who wanted to convey specific type of emotions and share them with the audience, it's nothing more but a badly stitched together bundle of shapes and colours

I would also like to add that some people are using this term to just say that they like a character. As in not "love" like, but like normally. I kinda wish we were back in 00's where "cute" was "adorable", and "to like" meant "to like". Now anything you say will be used against you as a defaulted "want to have sx with", and I really hate that approach because it feels like everyone just thinks about one thing, which is not true.

@Kermit1 From my understanding, "AI art" could steal jobs actual artists do for a living. For example, a book publisher may publish a picture book, and opt for "AI art," instead of an actual illustrator, thus not giving the illustrator work. Also, it can steal artists styles when learning art. There's a big controversy about it within the art community for a reason.
Again, I'm more of a hobby artist and draw for fun, but going by what I've seen others in the art community have been saying.
@Anti-Matter Never been big on doing digital art, so I also prefer hand drawn artwork. That's because AI art is done by AI, that's why it's like that. It's also really controversial in the art community for reasons I stated above. Again, just from seeing what the art community has been saying, I'm more of a hobbyist artist.
@Tyranexx Wow! I haven't played Echoes, but I do remember the controls to Metroid Prime 1 was different than most first person games at the time. This is the early 2000's, in terms of console first person controls, dual joysticks on Xbox comes to mind, or the A, B, X, Y + joystick setup of the Dreamcast controller.
@ComfyAko I agree with this, creativity has to come from someone too. Also, at least to my understanding why "AI art" is frowned upon is the reasons I've read above.
