@Kermit1
Probably, but if anything is going on, go get some help from someone. I went through a dark period of time a few years ago and it sucks. I thought I could get through it on my own but I couldn’t.. It only got better once I told someone I trusted. Someone I could talk to whenever I needed them. In my case it was my dad. And if something is going on I promise it will get better, even if it doesn’t seem like it now.

Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
@blindsquarel@Rambler@Snatcher@Eagly I feel better now than last night, I did some Googling and I think it was anxiety related (which can sometimes mix with depression, if I read that article right).
Also doesn't help I had caffeine which makes my brain go 500 miles an hour and with my learning disabilities (not being able to say the proper words/think the proper words) mixed with anxiety, I shot off into a corner of my brain I keep hidden which then made my head hurt. Luckily a cat jumped on my bed and started kneading bread which calmed me down.
@Kermit1
Well, good to know everything’s good. Sorry for the long response, I just don’t want anybody to have to go through what I went through so i Can go a bit overboard when it comes to responding to this sort of thing.

Hope you're all doing good. It's been a busy couple of days for me, which is why my reply is a bit late, but I'm still doing well. Oh, and happy late Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!
@Tyranexx No problem, that's cool you enjoyed XC3. I wonder how many times I'd get stuck in that game when I play it, lol. Since RPGs aren't exactly my forte. Aw thank you, and that's cool if the brownies are for your haunt group. The first console I pretty much had for myself was the Nintendo 64, it was a Christmas present when I was 5. I did have the GBC as my first handheld a couple years later, I think, pretty much when the Pokemon craze was happening. My family and I would play the heck out of the Wii as well, we'd play Wii Sports bowling quite a bit back in the day.
@Sunsy Oh speaking of which, D-Pad's my name on Animal Crossing! I actually like using the D-Pad for stuff like menus, when I'm using the pro controller. I like using it for playing Tetris as well, that makes moving the pieces way more precise. Yeah that's understandable, I do wish the online was free... at least there's stuff like family memberships that lets everyone save. I do like having NSO for playing Mario Kart online, having backed up save data, and the SNES games. I will admit, if Mario Kart's online was a slideshow central like Smash's online, I wouldn't have paid for NSO to begin with. Thankfully, that's not the case, and I'm a lot more attached to Mario Kart than Smash myself. Though I do feel for those who are more into Smash than me.
Yes that's absolutely true, everyone likes different things. There are some games that I've played and didn't like, like Paper Mario: Sticker Star, but I don't have a problem with others who like it. Oh, that's cool that Smurfs Official has full episodes from the 80s cartoon, I didn't know that - fun fact, one of my aunts loved Smurfs back in the day. That's awesome to hear you two loved Bedknobs and Broomsticks, sounds like it's quite an underrated Disney classic.
@blindsquarel@NintendoByNature That's nuts, I remember seeing stuff like that in the past as well. It's not even close to December! I guess some people want to celebrate Christmas just a bit earlier. lol

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
If you guys want to get into the full edgy side of Halloween, might I recommend indulging in some of Under Night In-Birth's OST? The entire game's themed around monsters/creatures of the night (basically a modern day Darkstalkers with a HEAVY anime influence) and the music is absolutely banging.
For example, what do you think of when you think of the Grim Reaper? Probably something along the lines of this:
Well UNIB's rendition (Gordeau for those wondering) is not only a suave, carefree hunk of a man but also has some of the most shredding guitars I have ever heard in a song. I have never played a single entry in this series but god does it look f***** SICK.

@Tyranexx Yeah, IIRC, I think I only had snow twice earlier this year. Sometime shortly after the new year, and at the end of January. Funnily enough, I remember playing World of Tanks Blitz that day on my PC for a few hours having nothing better to do.
@MarioLover92 Cool. Yeah that would be the only stuff I'd be critical over or have a negative take on anyway. Especially since online was free on Nintendo's previous consoles. Funny thing is, I barely play Smash Bros. online because of it. Though, I did play some Smash on Wii U online the night of Ultimate's release to see if anyone was still playing... I think that was the only time I ever won online. It really stings we're paying, but there's no improvement to the online play itself, yet free games like Apex have solid online, and doesn't require a paid subscription to play.
Same, online play on Mario Kart 8 is very sold, as with Super Mario 3D World the few times I played. Ironically enough, I remember Mario Kart 8 had built-in voice chat in the Wii U version between races when players are choosing the next track.
Yeah, that's why I don't worry too much if someone likes a game I didn't like or vice versa. Yeah, it surprised me when I found the official Smurfs channel and saw episodes posted, they did it at least once a week when I discovered it, and got to watch more Smurfs beyond the few DVDs I had. I wish more YouTube channels did this to be honest, official ones anyway. I see it mostly done with preschool cartoons, rarely for "older kids" (for lack of a better phrase, I just enjoy cartoons in general) cartoons. Sometimes there's special "YouTube" episodes of a show too (My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale and Trolls: Ask Poppy comes to mind). Just handy to have some full shows officially on YouTube, I love that Smurfs Official did just that.

I use a little caffeine in the mornings sometimes, but I've found I can't have too much; it can make me anxious and makes my brain work at a thousand miles an hour.
@Kermit1 "Christmas in July" and all that. I think in the US it's mostly just a marketing tactic to vacate last year's Christmas inventory. In a way though, I think it's meant to mirror how those in the southern hemisphere experience Christmas. It's smack in the middle of their summer.
As an aside: speaking from personal experience, yes depression can make your head hurt. But headaches can have a myriad of causes, from other disorders, too much caffeine, eyestrain, stress, dehydration, etc., etc. I'd seek medical advice instead of self-diagnosis, however. Even if one of us were a doctor, it's very hard to try to diagnose someone without interacting with them directly. I know telehealth is a thing, but to my knowledge that doesn't get too intensive.
@Anti-Matter I first heard of Canadian Thanksgiving from a web comic author I used to follow; she was based in Canada, so she was very upfront about taking the day off lol. Though I confess I forget what day it is exactly until it's nearly here. The US's Thanksgiving is always the last Thursday in November.
@MarioLover92 I don't recall ever getting stuck in XC3, at least in the main story. Though for the most part I know RPGs like the back of my hand. The brownies didn't last the night, not that I'm complaining! XD I would've loved to have access to a N64, but I never experienced the console outside of store demo units. My GBC was a birthday gift at age 10, a silver Special Pikachu Edition. I still have it, though I haven't powered it on in awhile. My family (Well, everyone but my dad; he's not into gaming) would play Wii Sports frequently, especially golf and bowling. It was a fun pastime, and the Miis are hilarious.
@Sunsy We mostly just had that one big snow IIRC. Then a couple of dustings and a couple of smaller ones that were only an inch or two deep. I don't bother shoveling when it's that shallow. XD
I'm someone who has to be careful with caffeine, if I have it too late in the day, I'll be up all night. It doesn't make me hyper, so anything that may have caffeine like chocolate or tea, I have to have in morning or early afternoon.
When I drink cocoa in the evening, I usually have Swiss Miss thanks to the lack of caffeine. Never was a coffee drinker, so if I go to Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts, I usually buy cocoa there in the mornings.
@Tyranexx I think we got a dusting a few times too. That's always a plus, the snow on the sidewalk was gone by the afternoon.
