Yeah, I was watching Trolls: The Beat Goes On tonight, and they did a DDR reference. A door had to be unlocked by playing DDR. Obviously, not the actual DDR pad (copyright reasons I'm guessing), but sharing it for anyone who might like this reference (@Anti-Matter comes to mind).

@MarioLover92 I have Midway Arcade Treasures 2, I remember that was the first time I beat Mortal Kombat 3. Found it funny that uppercuts worked on Motaro and Shao Kahn, lol. I loved that collection. I'm not good at fighting games either, but I still have fun with them.

That's the worst problem since lens are what read the disc. Yeah, I remember doing it because I still used the GameCube regularly at the time. I had the GameCube in my room, while the Wii was in the living room as it was the family's Netflix box too. It didn't interfere with gaming since I had my GameCube and PC in my room, and can play the Wii whenever we were not watching Netflix.

Indeed, it's funny how they share two common things, but are total opposites, lol.

@Kermit1 Oh wow, I didn't know Fraggle Rock had an animated show. I was very familiar with the original series with the muppets. Yeah, Trolls: The Beat Goes on is a cartoon DreamWorks released after the first movie. They took the 3D characters and did a good job adapting them to traditional animation (yup, this show used traditional animation).

I want to people to say the Fraggle fools chant after they get a joke played on them, lol.

Oh, I forgot last time to mention Tales of Symphonia! I have yet to play a Tales game, but I know that's a series title a lot of people seem to like. I actually have two of its compatriots backlogged - Tales of the Abyss on 3DS and Tales of Vesperia on the Switch - so it'll be awhile before I get to it in any case.

Also, I'm starting to get into a busy time of the year for me: Haunt season is almost here, and we're starting to have meetings and some last minute building. I still plan to frequent the site, but I likely won't be on as much. It may be several days before I get to some responses unless it's short.

@Sunsy I wanted to get into skateboarding at one point, but I didn't have space at home to practice - or a reliable concrete expanse - and any skate parks were quite a drive. They're more common where I live now. During my teen years, I was quite into cartoons, anime, and video games. I was a bookworm too. I still am into all of those things to varying degrees, though I admit I don't read nearly as much as I used to. Gaming is mostly at the forefront of my spare time lol. With lotion: I was probably using too much in some cases. I've switched to another kind that isn't as bothersome, but I still hate wearing it lol. With how dry my hands can get, I might have to switch to heavy duty stuff again though....

@Ryu_Niiyama While I'm not confident in a satisfying resolution to your wandering bookshelf, I do hope some reimbursement comes at some point. The police usually have bigger fish to fry unfortunately. I cannot fathom why people steal either. I get some things if someone is in a desperate situation, like food or other essentials, but a bookshelf? /FacePalm

@MarioLover92 YES! That's the exact song! It's so catchy and hilarious lol. Yep, I have so many games to play already that I'd be completely fine if releases I was interested in stopped for at least a year...maybe two. Save data from Splatoon transfers? I suppose that's common knowledge for many, but I admit I've barely followed the series at all. A coworker of mine has a GF who's really into the Splatoon series; she reportedly just picked up Splatoon 3 and is having a literal blast.

@Tyranexx stuff works out. I got an unexpected refund from something else that more than covered the cost of the bookshelf. I won’t dwell on it. I’m almost finished with my move and then my truck bed stays clean. People still suck though.

@Ryu_Niiyama That it does, that it does! At least you were "repaid" in a sense. I wouldn't dwell on it either. Many people do suck, unfortunately; I need to remind myself often that not all humans are jerks. Good luck with your move!

@Tyranexx Yeah, my brother and his friends were really into skateboarding and skate culture, while like you, I was more into cartoons and video games. Wasn't much into books back then, but I do like reading character themed books in more recent years, whether it's chapter books or picture ones. I did read the movie novelization for Jimmy Neutron, I remember those were fun as it would have scrapped ideas not used in the movies since they're adapted from early screenplays. I could see that being annoying to deal with, I usually use it when I have to, which is more common in winter months.

@Anti-Matter The episode is called Glitter Loss / New Anthem, season 5, episode 3. Specifically, the Glitter Loss half. Poppy, Smidge and Guy Diamond, come across a locked door with arrows, and as soon as Poppy steps on the arrow, part of the door goes up like the DDR arrows. Fun easter egg IMO.

But like I said, I primarily wanted to start with a clean slate on this website.
I won't be using my previous account anymore. So I don't think there's a problem here.

@Sunsy Tony Hawk was also pretty big when I was a preteen, so that was some of my attraction to skate culture lol. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to practice on a gravel driveway and road. I've always liked books since I was little and will read anything from picture books (I'll still pick up some series that I liked as a kid and thumb through them once in awhile, like The Berenstain Bears or Arthur) to chapter books to full novels. Some manga too. My skin seems to be getting drier as I age, some of it I think is how frequently I wash my hands. It's definitely a problem I have in the winter months.

@Sunsy Yeah that was a good collection for sure. I actually had it when I was a kid, even though it was M-rated. Though, I didn't get to play it too much since a lot of its featured games... weren't exactly family-friendly, lol. That's good you still have fun with them. I did play Skullgirls a while back as well, that was a good one and I remember liking its art style.

Our Wii was in the living room too, my mom liked watching Netflix on it as well. She played a couple of games on it too, the noteworthy ones being Wii Fit Plus and Just Dance. I remember that in Wii Fit Plus, she'd play the bicycle game and one of our in-game cats would rush in to follow my mom's Mii. It was pretty cute. I only had a CRT TV in my room at the time, so I pretty much just had retro consoles in there. Stuff like the SNES, N64, and GameCube.

@Tyranexx I thought it was that part, I totally remember it! Yep, from what I've seen, if you boot up Splatoon 3 for the first time while having Splatoon 2 save data, you'll get to transfer some of that data to S3 so you can play anarchy battles sooner, among other bonuses. I think it's a one-time deal though. That's awesome to hear. I may pick up S3 so I can play in the next Splatfest, but I haven't decided yet. I just finished Splatoon 1's story mode, too, which is good timing because one of my online friends wants to play S2 with me.
