@Anti-Matter Yeah, but the case with Xbox is the few Xbox games that interest me, I just play on PC. The games that interest me on PlayStation, I can play on other systems. During the PS2 era, Need for Speed, Jimmy Neutron, Cars, Finding Nemo, and Hot Wheels World Race interest me, but I played them on GameCube. They're the same game being multiplatform.

Same with recent PlayStation, the few third party games, I can play on Switch and PC. I don't see a reason to buy a game system when I can play the games on PC or Switch. Actually, Sony started bringing a few games to PC recently.

Cool, I think my brother was more into them, while I was more into gaming cartoons like Sonic, and cuter cartoons like Snorks for example (it was on Cartoon Network at the time). I do remember them at least because of my brother.

@Tyranexx Cool, I always imagined roleplay had certain rules given it's not the usual chatting.

I remember seeing something about a live action adaptation. Sorry to hear it was boring. For me, I went to that one dance, then never again. Not even the prom, but I was ok with that. The major factor to it was I attended a special needs high school, and the trip to the school was like an hour away as it was several towns away. So instead of going I'd stay home since the trip was long, so that actually worked in my favor. Usually those nights I would either play video games or watch cartoons or something.

Where I live, the malls weren't too far away. Every time I go, I just would go to wherever I could find character stuff. Yet, I would always wind up in GameStop somehow. I remember going to my local mall to make Poppy at Build-A-Bear (when the first Trolls was new), and I still wound up in GameStop, even if it wasn't the plan, lol.

@MarioLover92 Indeed, it's always cool to see DreamWorks showcase fan art on the official account every week.

Yeah, with older games, I tend to just revisit and play for fun. I usually end up focusing going through the games when it's one I'm currently working on. I do like playing older games, so they do get played, I still have my GameCube hooked up along with my Switch and Wii U.

The mods on the PC version are really fun too. There's even a couple of character mods, I turned Amy into classic Amy with a mod someone made. Indeed. Speaking of anniversaries, Mortal Kombat is turning 30 comes Tuesday... I feel old.

I've now had no caffeine for a week and I feel good, I still can't sleep, but I feel good. Today I gave up fast food and if I'm going to eat out I will only get sandwiches from a store.

I also feel burnt out.

According to Chinese calendar, today is the beginning of autumn season.
The full moon today is the brightest, just like Moon viewing festival in Harvest Moon games.

I should put myself on a diet as well but I'm afraid I don't have the commitment right now to make it a success. I'm an emotional eater and when I'm going through a difficult time, or many bad things are happening all at once, I eat and eat. It's a compulsive behaviour I haven't yet managed to get under control.

Watched Ubisoft Forward this afternoon, ngl, I screamed when I heard "Can't Stop The Feeling" made it into Just Dance, and I don't even play the game series.

Um... have some context! Spoiler alert since this is the ending (in case anyone plans to watch Trolls, and haven't seen it yet).

@Kermit1 Good choices, I still eat restaurant food, but occasionally rather than often. I have more fun cooking meals myself. Too bad I have a bad sensitivity to caffeine, so usually in the afternoon on I can't have any drinks with it. In fact, I have tea and hot cocoa without caffeine for the evening.

@Mioaionios I'm an emotional eater too. I also (from time to time) binge eat which is not good. Heart Disease and diabetes run close in my family, and I want to eat healthier than my Dad when he was 20. I also could lose a pound or two, I'm not "big" I just have (very) broad shoulders and the rest of my body just fills in the space lol.

@Sunsy
Some interesting case about the same games on PS2 and Gamecube version.
In this case, I have The Sims Bustin' Out both Gamecube and PS2 version and they have different performances.
The PS2 version have better shadow textures and opacity but they have longer loading times and lower sounds volume, also the PS2 version still struggle to handle the performance when you have a big house with a lot of furnitures (quite laggy in PS2 version).
The Gamecube version have worse shadow textures and opacity (pitch black with low polygon textures) but they have faster loading times, louder sounds volume and stronger performance to handle multiple objects in your house (less laggy than PS2 version).

Other case was from Sonic Heroes and Robots.
Both Sonic Heroes and Robots have 60 fps performance on Gamecube version but 30 fps on PS2 version. In this case, some Gamecube games have better performance than PS2.

But on other case, some PS2 games have better performance than Gamecube games like Crash Bandicoot games or Spyro games or Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games. It was the fault of the developer to not optimize the Gamecube potential.

And since I grew up by PS2 games during my teenhood, of course I keep supporting my PS2 games as my favorite PS2 games are mostly on Japanese version than USA version so I have two PS2 machines with different region (Japan and USA) with their signature games. My Japanese PS2 games are mostly BEMANI Rhythm games by Konami (DDR, Para Para Paradise, DrumMania, Beatmania IIDX, Pop'n Music, Keyboardmania), Taiko no Tatsujin games, K-1 games, Bomberman games, Monster Farm 4, etc and those games are not available on Gamecube version.
For my USA PS2 games, there are DDR games, 3D platformer games, The Sims games, Western cartoonish games, etc.
PS2 have a lot of hidden gems in my opinion.

Btw, if you like cute cartoonish cartoon series, I'm sure you can like Transformers Rescue Bots Academy that you can watch from YouTube currently.
Take a look.

@Eel Thanks! That's a fascinating and useful bit of info. I'll probably play the other two "main" games legitly, but I'll likely make an exception for Zelda II lol. I need to read up on all the G&W features; if I recall, Nintendo left some functions to be discovered by end users on their own.

The pupper wanted to see what was inside, all right....You should've seen the box. I'm still amazed that the actual unit only had a couple of hard to see surface scratches on the sides. +1 for the packaging. The box was small, so my guess is it wasn't shipped through the postal service and was left at the door by either UPS or FedEx.

@Tasuki To be fair, I prefer the reskinned Doki Doki SMB2 lol. I tried Lost Levels as a kid via Super Mario All-Stars and didn't get very far at all.

@MarioLover92 Yes Yes YES on Mulan. I LOVE that movie; she's one of my favorite Disney heroines. I've not seen the live action movie however. Looking forward to your thoughts on both when the time comes.

Sounds like the Splatfest was fun at least! I'm glad you had a good time. I did catch wind of some of the balancing issues you mentioned, but that's why these trial runs are such a good idea. Vet out some of the issues in testing, then finally push everything to production....At least, that's how programming works. XD So Rock...rocked? exits stage left

I didn't really learn coding until college. I knew a bit of BBC forum formatting and code - similar to what I do here - but that was the extent of my experience before tackling my degree.

@Sunsy To be honest, I'm glad you're taking the text roleplay descriptions in stride. I've received some weird reactions for mentioning it; some people associate it with very shady stuff, likely through stereotypes, but I assure you anything I participated in was kid-friendly.

I was never really one for dancing; I more went to hang out. I absolutely hate formal wear (The last time I was persuaded into a dress was my sister's wedding last winter; before that and a friend's summer wedding, I hadn't worn one in years), so I was always raring to get out of a dress and into normal duds after about an hour. That sounds like your school was quite a distance, so I don't blame you on wanting to save the time and gas money (or transportation funds depending on your area).

I always wanted to go to Build A Bear when I was a kid since I loved stuffed animals, but I was always shut down/talked out of it since it was an expensive place. Nowadays I'd definitely go to one just because, but TBH the few stuffed animals I still have are still in storage; they just collect dust. There were smaller strip malls and so on where I grew up, but the closest indoor mall of a reasonable size was about 90 minutes away. Most strip malls where I currently live are mostly clothing, regular retail places like Dollar Tree or Dollar General, vaping, booze, etc., etc. A couple of GameStops too, but no clothing stores I genuinely like. The closest book store that doesn't cater to specific hobbies is about a 40 minute drive. There used to be one in the nearby town, but it closed around the '08 recession.

@Anti-Matter Enjoy the Lunar New Year! I'd still love to try a moon cake sometime.

@Kermit1 It's alright, I remember when I was a teen, cutting out most soda was the best thing, actually lost weight. To this day, I'm still careful with soda, really only saving it for the occasional ginger ale or Sprite.

That is understandable on why you want to watch what you eat, hoping for the best my dude.

@Anti-Matter Yeah, that is expected with multiplatform games. There's always some slight differences in graphics, performance, etc. Still at core, they the same games in most cases. Will admit, Finding Nemo was a weird case. When I rented the game, loading took up to 2 minutes. Then when I bought the game, loading was down to 30 seconds. Weird since the developers went back and fixed the load times, which was not common in those days.

Don't think I was ever into Transformers, but this seems familiar somehow. Googles Oh yes, now I remember, Discovery Family. It was the channel that shows My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. They always had shows based off Hasbro's franchises. Another good one was Littlest Pet Shop. Told the story of a girl named Blythe, who moves to a city and has the ability to talk to animals. Loved that show, was underrated.

@Tyranexx Yeah, I've seen them on Sega's own forums, mostly in the Sonic fan fiction forum they use to have, so I'm familiar with the concept.

Me too, ugh, try sensory problems with certain clothes. Usually for formal events, I just wear a plain long sleeve shirt, and everyone is usually ok with it. As I mentioned before, I still like wearing cartoon shirts and wearing a Trolls one right now, lol. It was made deciding on not going to these things easier, plus I would have a fun time at home or with my mother watching something.

Build-A-Bear is fun, I got plenty of My Little Pony ones there over the years as well as a few of the Trolls ones (well, the 2020 line up for Trolls World Tour, I got as a gift because I could go to one then). They did have Pokemon ones at one point too, but never got one of them. I always love plushies, so I have a bunch of them mostly of my favorite characters. Wow, that sounds like you live really far from places like that.

I'm starting to love Scott Joplin and Raymond Scott currently, idk why but I'd rather listen to them than most other music.

Here is a remix of one of Raymond Scott's "songs".

@WoomyNNYes haha that’s unfortunately news about the other park.

Maybe one day I’ll get lost and wander into Florida with a few hundred dollars in my pocket.

@Eel I know it's the other park. I imagine, disneyland likely has the the same loop but with disneyland park info. I hadn't seen that new nighttime theme version of the channel.

Sigh.... 😥
It just only one DDR Arcade still survive in my hometown Surabaya, only DDR MAX 2 Arcade.
One by one the other DDR Arcade machines in my hometown got removed due to pandemic situation and the machine being unrepairable due to long pandemic. So I only have one choice to visit the game Arcade which still have DDR MAX 2 Arcade.
If one day there is no more DDR Arcade machine in my hometown, I will stop visiting any my local game Arcade. No DDR = No Play.
I will start to build my own DDR at home with DDR console games + metal DDR pad to stimulate Arcade play sensation so I can play at home as long as I want. That's the only the game I really like to play for more than 20 years.
