@Snatcher time moves fast enough as it is πŸ˜‰

@Fizza it will be my emotional support droid.

Booked the reservation rather early on in the day, so carrying it around all day will be interesting. Might end up buying the backpack too if it’s available.

@Sunsy The only response I have is: you do you. Enjoy what you like, as long as it isn't illegal and isn't hurting anyone. People are totally free to have their opinions, it's slapping them onto others that I have issues with. Not that there aren't some very foul opinions out there where others should step in, but that's why we have laws and advocates to help change minds and legislation.

I agree 100% on that one. I just always enjoyed playing Sonic games, no matter the reception some of them get. I remember that old forum wasn't pleasant as others got mad at me for enjoying those games.

That's what I like about here, most folks here are nice compared to other forums. I think I only had to use the ignore functions twice during my entire time here.

@Kermit1 My bed use to be against the wall in my old house so I always got out of the left side of the bed. Now, my bed isn't against a wall I always get out of the right side of my bed... the literal right side.

Silly joke aside, I actually got up at 4 AM for both Trolls World Tour theater showings I went to, and Thor. Mostly because one of the Trolls showings was early at 9 AM, and I wanted to get myself ready and eat breakfast, be on time, and enjoy the movies without any restroom breaks. Wasn't bad as I relaxed when I got home for the rest of the day.

Since middle school, since I've always went to an out of town school, I have a habit to get up early in the morning.

@Sunsy ever since June I've been falling asleep at 2-3am and waking up at 10-12am. I need to start getting better sleep.

@Kermit1 That's late. My habit is mostly going to sleep between 11:30PM-1AM (depending if I'm watching something or reading something interesting), most days I'm up by 8AM, 9AM latest.

I usually go to bed early, if I have to be up early, and it takes awhile to get into. Had to go to bed early days before the movie showings just to get into the routine of it.

@MarioLover92 The schools I went to growing up were small (pseudo-private elementary school, small rural public high school), and I was even "luckier" to be in the smallest grade level at the time. They weren't really big enough to hold a lot of your smaller cliques, just the larger stereotypical ones. Not that I couldn't relate to people, but "gamer girls" were almost unheard of, especially on the Nintendo front since it was too "kiddy". I was also considered a nerd and bookworm since I typically earned high grades and frequented the library. While I loved books (still do), it was more because it was usually a quieter area lol. It's been awhile since I've seen The Simpsons too, though I do find the occasional nostalgic clip on YT lol. As for that South Park episode....Maybe I just tuned in on the wrong one, IDK. But the few vignettes I've seen of the show since haven't convinced me either.

That's cool you're into books, sounds a lot like a certain Disney princess that I know. I never was too into reading books (I may try to change that at some point), but I have read my fair share of them, and I was a pretty good student in school as well. I guess I've always been more of a visual kind of guy, lol. Most of my friends from middle/high school were into gaming, me included. The closest I can think of was one guy who wasn't, though that's it.

@MarioLover92 Yeah, I mostly watch the old movies from the 90's and the more recent TMNT movies, I've seen via streaming. I also have a DVD of the original series, kind of like a best of set. Raphael was my favorite as a kid, which is why I bought him when Brawlhalla had their crossover.

I actually had no clue that there were TMNT movies until quite a bit later. I've only known of the cartoon at first, but that's about it. Then again, I didn't exist in the 80s, lol. And yeah, these forums are so much nicer. I remember being ridiculed for liking Sonic Heroes on one forum I went to.

I've been redesigning my ACNH island and I've pretty much flattened my island twice now. I've done at least 5 hours of terriforming, and tons of time travelling with moving homes.

I thought I had an idea for my island now but I didn't know how to do it, then I looked at YouTube for help and I feel way more confident doing it now.

Can't believe I ordered handlebars from Spain??

Nobody in the US had the bars I wanted in stock (not that shocking these days), but the bike company located in Spain said shipping to US takes 4-5 days, which is kind of impressive. I can't believe that's where my handlebars are coming from. Flybikes Nigran Spain.

(yeah, shipping cost more, but I'll eat the extra $20 so I can have new bars now while there's still warm weather season left, rather than screwing around for weeks/months looking for new stock to come in.)

Was busy with some chores today. Now relaxing in my room watching Harvey Girls Forever, and hoping to do some gaming later this evening. In the mood for Apex arenas.

@MarioLover92 I remember seeing the third TMNT in a movie theater, was a small theater too, only two screens. The original TMNT movies were great, though I don't think many like the third one. TMNT 2 has always been my favorite one.

I agree. I remember on the old Sega forum, people gave me a hard time over enjoying Sonic and the Black Knight, the GBA port of Sonic 1, Shadow, just to name a few. I just played them and enjoyed them.

Like I said, this forum is much nicer, I think I only had to use the ignore function twice during my time here.

@BinaryMessiah, same and it always drove me nuts when people said "oh just wait, you will be wishing you were back in school when life gets really hard"......uh no.....the hard is different now but at least when I clock out at the end of the work day, I don't have 4-5 hours of homework to do, while also doing life (now it's 2 young kids but I prefer that). The years did fly by in their own way but I am not sad that I'm past it.

@Fizza, what are you planning to take in college?

I don't miss upper elementary school through high school at all. Those people who say that high school encompasses "the best years of your life" either had a WAY better time of it than I did, or else they're looking through rose-tinted glasses. Besides, that's only a small chunk in most lives and ignores the larger picture. I did enjoy college after I got the prerequisites out of the way and could study what I wanted though. Contrary to many college experiences, I'm apparently in the minority that didn't go there to party. Guess I'm a crazy weirdo.

@Kermit1 To my recollection, Chronicles of Narnia was the first high fantasy series I genuinely got into. I had help from other sources, but I think the series was one of the reasons I like fantasy settings so much. Reepicheep is best talking animal (CMV), though the beavers are a close second. Puzzle the Donkey a somewhat distant third.

As an aside, it sounds like you need to adjust your sleep pattern a bit. Occasional maintenance insomnia issues aside, on a work night I generally go to bed between 11-12 and have an alarm set for 7. That schedule shifts about an hour later on the weekends unless I'm completely dead lol.

@Eel YES! DOOOOO ITTTTTT! 8D

And it seems I'm late, but Elsa from Frozen would've been my pick too. Or Anna. If we were talking non-princesses though, I think a couple of my little cousins would've picked Mirabel.

@Sunsy Sounds like that forum was quite an echo chamber. Those places are pretty good at driving non-bandwagoners out. The main reason I still even bother with the forums here is that I can still have pleasant and sane conversations about gaming and other subjects. Gaming convos are especially important to me as not a lot of people in my life either A. game at all, or B. do game but aren't really heavily invested in the Nintendo ecosystem. Not that I'm exclusively on Nintendo platforms, but they're mostly what I have time for these days...and are the home of many of my favorite franchises.

@MarioLover92 Hah, I can relate to Belle on many levels! She was actually my favorite Disney princess until Merida from Brave rolled along. I love reading and still do, but it usually takes a backseat to gaming these days. I try to use books to wind down 30-60 minutes before bedtime - partially to stay off electronics to improve my sleep - but I sometimes pass out before even picking them up. I've always had an active imagination, so it's usually pretty easy for me to bring the words on a page to life in my head...provided I'm in a relatively quiet environment. More noise = nope, unless it's not very loud and in the background. Something with how I'm wired, I guess.

The gaming interests weren't really a disconnect with many others until I was in jr. high and especially high school. Sometimes I wish I was in the grade level above mine; not only were there more kids, but their interests were broader as well. I unfortunately missed the age cutoff by about a month.

@Sunsy I do remember hearing that the first two were pretty good. And yeah, I remember seeing AVGN's review of TMNT 3, and... let's just say he didn't like it very much, lol. Ouch, sorry to hear. It's like the people on the Sega forums expect you and others to have the same exact opinions as them. I may not have liked Shadow's game that much, but at least I have no problem with you finding enjoyment in it. Same thing with any game that I didn't like or couldn't get into, but others did.

@Tyranexx Nice, Belle's a great character for sure, and I'd say she's my favorite Disney princess overall. I've heard of Brave, but didn't see it. That's that Pixar movie, isn't it? That's good, I pretty much always turn off my phone and close my laptop before I go to bed. You and me both - I do like having decently quiet environments as well, since they allow me to keep focused on what stuff I'm doing. Especially when I'm doing anything productive. I do kinda like having background noise, especially if it's something like a spinning fan, for example. I don't want too much silence, but that's just me.

I remember experiencing something like that during my high school days as well. I felt like I was one of the few people in my high school who liked Nintendo games, especially during my last year there. I'll have to agree with what you said in that first paragraph of yours, too, taking my experience into account anyway. Those weren't exactly the "best years of my life." In terms of my academic adventures, my college days were so much better. I feel like I learned even more than what I did back in high school, a lot of my professors were great, and not a soul made fun of me for what I like. I guess you can count me into that minority, since I actually came to learn and do good on my school work. A few of my courses were mega tough, though!

@Fizza Apologies for not getting to your post originally, but best of luck on your studies.

Hooray...!!!
I have successfully purchased these two rare Gamecube games this evening ! πŸ˜ƒ
And I got these games from my hometown Surabaya.
Woohoo...!!! πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
The games are.... 😁

Bomberman Generation
Starfox Assault

Untitled

Also some other games like PS2 & NDS πŸ™‚

K-1 Premium 2004: Dynamite!!
Hello Kitty: Big City Dream

Untitled

And some PS3 games.

Ben 10 Omniverse 2
Kung Fu Rider

@Tyranexx
My dream to get two rare Gamecube games has come true. πŸ˜„
Look at my photos above. ☝
Luckily, I got those games from the seller in my hometown. Those games are really insane expensive on Ebay but I got those games with way cheaper price than Ebay but still expensive
(1,000,000 - 1,200,000 IDR) if compared with other used games.

So far, I enjoyed those two Gamecube games for first 1 hour gameplay.
Bomberman Generation was easy to play, very basic Bomberman with some world exploration.
Starfox Assault was way easier to handle than Starfox Zero Wii U for both shooting style and walking style, but the game lack of versatile camera angle control like 3D games on PS2 by using right analog button. The C analog button just only for changing the weapons for Fox McCloud.
I have finished Mission 2 in 1 hour first gameplay.
Now, I have to test my other games purchase later. See ya.
