@TheJGG Oh yeah, parts of Vegas are quite tacky lol. It's gambling central. There are some cool sights and experiences for sure, but by far my favorite thing was touring Hoover Dam, a nearby historic town tied to the dam's history, and Lake Mead. All a decent distance from the strip. The main reason I'd go back is to access more natural areas in the region; unlike the rest of my family, I haven't been to the Grand Canyon, which is also not too far from Vegas.

A cynical person would say it summarises the worst of the US with all the flashiness, fake monuments and the showiness. Plus doing anything in Vegas is gonna be expensive. An arm and a leg for one night at a casino hotel. Example: a big hotel bought a lot of F1 tickets for next year's Vegas race.. planning to package them and sell them off for $100,000 a pop. For context a standard F1 ticket in Europe won't cost more than $500. What a joke.

I'd much rather do some outdoor stuff personally. Seems you would too, shame you haven't seen the Canyon yet. That's on my list for when or if I visit the US again. I'm more than happy just going once in a while. Imagine doing a big mountain. By the time I get over there I'd have recovered from the one I did a month ago!

There’s cheaper hotels in between the popular hotels in las vegas.

I remember when we went, we stayed at a generic Travelodge hotel right in the middle of downtown… and from there we walked to to every other hotel to see the expositions and events.

One minor fun thing I remember is that one of the hotels had a random vending machine with phones and video games. I got Mario vs Donkey Kong Mini Land Mayhem there just for the novelty.

@Kermit1 wait, you watched the whole thing?! Thanks so much! I’m really happy you liked it. I honestly love this series so much that I could make so many more of these kinds of essay videos. I’m only doing them just for fun but even one person appreciating them makes it worth it.

I actually started writing another one today. It’s about the Ouroboros, and other fun Greek stuff that’s in the game. Please look forward to that!

Busy past few days, but doing good. I don't usually play Fortnite, I like the underrated Realm Royale more, but decided to try the no build mode out of curiosity and I kept hearing how much better the mode is, and had fun with it. Didn't enjoy Fortnite when it launched, so it amuses me that I had fun with no build mode.

Don't think I'm going to play Fortnite regularly, I prefer Apex arenas and Realm Royale more (which recently got a huge new update too). Not bad considering my initial reaction to the game. Just some random thoughts.

You can get Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers 3DS PAL version with cheaper price from play-asia.

https://www.play-asia.com/dillons-dead-heat-breakers/13/70bynp

I have this game too but I still haven't continued the progress yet.

Except, I have a US 3DS and PAL versions of the game won't work on my system, and I'm not going to import a PAL 3DS as it would be too much, overseas shipping included.

I am enjoying the first Dillon game though.

@Sunsy Ah OK, that's good at least. Thanks! From what I played of Phantom Hourglass, I do like it for the most part. I finished the first dungeon as of this post. Oh I forgot about Puyo Puyo Tetris, I have that too! Though, I just have the first one. Is the sequel any good?

Oh and I saw your character on Splatoon 3, I think you were on Scissors? I was on Rock. I wonder which side will win!

Glad to hear it! Awesome, so we can play Tetris then.

Rock won, yeah I think I went for Scissors because it was red, lol. Weekend was busy so I just wanted to try and play a few quick rounds. I think I did a total of five games, and won three of them. Though, seeing user art on the maps was something else, I don't think I was expecting that tbh.

@Jump @Rambler I thought you'd like to see this. I thought of you two when I saw it lol.

That's a very outdated video. Nowadays to be chucked out of a pub the bouncer must first issue a warning of your offence, they do this by taking your pocket square and putting into a ghastly puff fold. If you keep being mischievous they then instigate the first punishment of removing your mushy peas from your bangers and mash which as we all know is now inedible. The last step is for the bouncer to take out their gauntlet and slap you across the face with it and demand you leave however you may challenge the request with a fencing match using Oxford rules.

For some reason that reminded me of being a teenager and the gangsters running the doors. Always just rumours for us until it got in the papers, mind.

A bar I use to take dates on was mob owned. It was on Greek street in London which had no signs or an entrance to it so you had to know it to go there. All of the walls were covered with pictures of old gangsters like the Krays etc but it was mostly filled with bohemian hipsters to it despite having a few dogy sorts. I use to take them there just sd it would generate at least 20mins chat which is useful when you don't really know who the other person is but it in hindsight it does seem odd for me taking someone I don't know to a mob bar to woo them.

I just googled complex way to 17 and got this, but I don't think it equals 17. Math was never really my strong point in homeschool (yes I just revealed my school).

@Anti-Matter I'm not picky due to narrowing my gaming tastes; quite the opposite lol. I've actually expanded my gaming horizons over time and have found I like different franchises and genres, not to mention I have a much better idea of what I dislike as well (sports games, shmups, most racing outside of Mario Kart, etc.). I've had to become pickier due to just not having the time to play everything I absolutely want to, though I usually have the funding. It's the complete opposite of when I was a kid, when I had plenty of time and not a lot of money. I didn't have much of an allowance and had to rely on birthday and Christmas money mostly.

@Fizza NGL, that found footage promotion for the Ultra Beasts was pretty cool. I nearly forgot about the event until someone reminded me, but I did manage to catch the other UBs they released; Nihilego was available before this past weekend.

@TheJGG With those F1 tickets - and likely other events - that was mostly a special case. Some hotels/rooms can be quite cheap to get, depending on when you go and where you stay. That's mostly to entice people to the casinos, shows, etc. so that they spend more money in them. Heck, there's a public transit monorail system that links a lot of the bigger complexes, and it forces you to walk through all the casino areas of each building to get to the street. Coincidence? I think not. But a 24 hour pass was cheaper than taking taxis everywhere. We did hoof it at some points, but it can be a lot of walking. Buying about anything on the Strip is quite expensive. The Old Strip isn't as bad, but Las Vegas in general isn't a cheap city. And believe me, there are plenty of street vendors wearing crazy outfits and hawking merchandise trying to make a cheap buck.

Unfortunately, I was taking some college classes and working part-time the summer my family went to the Grand Canyon and to see a few other sights. I could've gotten off work, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to make up the class hours. If you do come back to the US to see the Grand Canyon, I've also heard Bryce Canyon is neat too. And if you can manage it and like learning about ancient settlements, Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado is pretty cool too.

Edit: I forgot to say that we did watch a couple of shows in Vegas. By far my favorite was a Cirque du Soleil performance my brother and I watched (My sister and bro-in-law went to a Magic Mike show. Ugh....). Those acrobats are seriously talented.

@Tyranexx
I understand.
There are some games I bought with short hype when I got the game but suddenly lost the hype after several days later, probably the genre of the games I played not really engaging so I got distracted easily by another games with different interesting ideas.

Today I will order some rare Gamecube games with cheaper price from my local online shopping website and the seller was from here my hometown.
Wish me luck so I can bring home the rare Gamecube games I have been waiting for. 🤞🍀
